Cottages were good. Staff were very courteous. Greenery all around. Food was tasty. Pricing on a little higher side considering no fridge inside room. No tea/coffee arrangement inside the room. Of course kitchen staff made it on demand. Thanks to them. Beds can be made more comfortable.
A wonderful home nestled in a farm by the riverside, away from my flat in the concrete jungle called Mumbai. Simply loving it...Mango Huts where not jus mangoes but pure bliss,Where little, nay no city lightsBut copious nature that delights.Mango huts where bond with scenic viewsExciting waterfalls, hot springs, and lovely lotus-pond sinews.
Nice place to enjoy with big group. The cottage is spacious and clean. The food is provided by local caretaker which is also nice. The hospitality is excellent
Mango Huts is positioned as a rustic farm stay, priced equivalent to luxury property but alas, the experience you get is that of a very average farm outing. Before we point out all that irked us, we do admit that the location is fantastic. It’s verdant. A bubbling river stream by the cottage gives you the perfect “switch off from work” mood. But the issues we had- Less than clean bathrooms. Upkeep is poor, the shower curtains look like they’ve never been washed or changed in a lifetime- Accumulated dust on furniture, inside wardrobes - you just don’t want to unpack- A disgusting fridge in the kitchen that’s never been defrosted. We were greeted by a half eaten cake, a half empty beer bottle in the fridge- Cheap, very cheap serve ware. From plates, bowls to mugs for tea/ coffee. Plastic all over. And not even very good quality plastic. Bucolic farm stay you said ? One could wipe off a layer of grease from a washed plastic plate with a tissue.- The gazebos are furnished with old wooden beds. I can’t imagine how a large group of people is expected to socialise/talk while sitting on bare wooden beds ? We ended up perching ourselves up on the beds and crossing our legs to be able to see each other and talk yo each other. With our glasses and bottles in our hands. Funny and very uncomfortable.- Staff is kind and very hospitable. Saffron stays should however have trained them better. For this price and upkeep, this property is a bad bargain. Perhaps it’s been opened for visitors way before it was ready.
A Very Homely stay! Care Takers and Staff do certainly make your stay comfortable.
Food Excellent. Staff Very Good. Need a Fridge in cottage.
V nice staff and good place amidst the jungle
Its not worth against they chargeIt cost 15k and no such facilityRooms are not cleanVilla also dirty, and no such activity like GYM, Playing area, swimming pool is toooo smallFood quality is also poorOnly the staff is co operativeOverall they should have charge 4k for such kind of facility
We stayed at the property over Dec31, 2020 for New Year’s. 5 families with our teenagers. The approach road is terrible but it’s because the stretch is being repaired. The property in itself is quaint & lovely. 2 cottages - One 2 Bed & 1 was 3 bed. However other than the space everything else was simply below par. Saffron Stay charged us an arm & a leg and we are still wondering why!?! It is inadequate in every way - Staff, Food, Simple Amenities, Furniture, Cutlery & Serving and Service! It feels like the staff was obliging by simply being available. I doubt anyone from Saffron Stay team had actually visited the place and trained the staff in the most basic check points that should be in a rented holiday property.I would not go back unless there are some major changes to the way this absolutely gem of a property is managed. The staff were basic care takers & not trained to handle “guests” in an hospitality environment. The theme can be rustic & quaint but that doesn’t mean it’s ok to have zero standards & basic hospitality SOP’s in place.
Mango Huts is a serene getaway just 2.5 hours drive from Mumbai. It is a 6.5 acre property where one can lose ones self in the midst of nature. The caretakers are welcoming and the service is as prompt as one can hope for in a small village. If they took just a little better care in the maintenance aspect, added a few more activities and tended to the outgrowth a little better, it would move from great to a must visit place. Cheers on the whole.
Very beautiful place.
Very good homely experience.
We were a group of 6 women and stayed for a night at this beautiful location. The Khopoli-Pali road us in a very bad condition at some points. But when you land at Mango cottages after this hectic travel of about 3 hours all the fatigue and exhaustion vanishes and the natural beauty and simplicity of the huts refreshes you! The warm welcome from the caretaker and his family further adds to ones happiness. We stayed in a 2 bedroom spacious cottage with 2 attached bathrooms. Towels and soap are provided. Bedsheets, mattresses and blankets are ftesh and clean- of very good quality. Food was tasty - both veg and nonveg. Interaction with Saffronstays and the caretaker was pleasant and helpful. I would recommend to choose this place for a relaxed, peaceful and safe stay. With the experience of a satisfactory stay, next time I would opt for a longer period.
Serene and simple. Peaceful and quite. Totally de stressing.
Road to reach location is not good.. location is superb for family and friends
Pleas mention that the place is closed and the approach road is horrible traveling in a SUV also gave me back pain
