Blessed place....paid parking available....little bit construction is in progress. Very nice place and view across the temple. For night stay, hotels are available just next to the temple so no worry for stay. One of the best hotel is Thakur Hotel at very reasonable rate and food quality is great in taste along with quality
A blessed place to must visit!Located on bank of the river, Lord Shiv and Chamunda Matas temple resides close to cremation grounds since ancient times, Guiding departed souls to higher realms. An easily accessible temple by road and offers a serene view and experience to visitors. Advise is to visit here as a devotee rather as a tourist.
Beautiful and calm place to get the inner peace, i always loved this type of holy place, as it has well settled space for the parking as well as proper arrangements for the crowd with social distancing in temple. Beautiful temple surrounded by dhauladhar hills with renovated by Dogra Regiment of Indian army & moving waterfall on the back side of temple.
Chamunda.Shri Chamunda Devi Mandir also known as Chamunda Nandikeshwar Dham is the temple located at just 10 km away from Palampur town in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. This is one of the most prominent temples in Himachal Pradesh and one of the most popular temples in all over India. It is believed that whatever vow is prayed here manifests the reality.[1] The main temple i.e. Aadi Himani Chamunda is very older than this, it is on the uphill and it is difficult to reach there, thats why around 400 years ago this temple was built for the ease of the believers.
We visited this place on the way from Dharamshala. It is situated at Palampur Dharmashala Road, Kangra,Himachal Pradesh. It is very beautiful temple . Considered as one of the shaktipeeths.Ample parking space is available. Restroom available. Very neat and clean. Covid protocols are strictly being followed in the temple premises.
If you are in Dharamshala and want some good karma points, visit this temple which is in heart of city and 15 mints from bus stand via taxi.
Good thing is Covid protocols are followed.
Jai Chamunda MataIts a nice place. I visited here when there were some restrictions due to Corona.Paid and unpaid parking facility available here.Hotels and restaurants are also avialble here. You can book hotels for stay and visit the temple to worship Chamunda Mata early in morning to avoid traveling and waiting in a queue.Jai Mata di
Chamunda is an aspect of Devi, the supreme Mother Goddess. The name is a combination of Chanda and Munda, two terrifying monsters killed by Devi. The famous temple of Mata Chamunda is in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is around 10 km from Palampur, on the Baner river.Several years ago the king and a Brahmin priest prayed to Devi for permission to move the temple to some easily accessible location. Devi appeared to the priest in a dream giving her consent. She directed him to dig at a certain spot, an ancient idol would be found that should be installed in the temple and worshipped as Her form. The temple depicts scenes from the Devi Mahatmya, Ramayan and Mahabharata. The Devis image is flanked by the images of Hanuman and Bhairon on either side. This famous Chamunda Nandikeshwar Dham is an abode of Shiva Shakti since the saga of Puranas.
Good Temple. Spacious. Enough place to sit and relax as well. Not crowded. Boating activity available but shut down due to Covid-19.
Very good place and pleasent weather for travelling. Very silent nature and feeling relax.
One of the main Sakti pith of Mata.We visited in month of March. There was not much rush. You can easily locate eatery points and shopping points near temple. Parking is also there.I have uploaded nice videos, please see . like and share your views.
This is very beautiful place iam visit first time here here I find peace
One of the most famous in whole North India. Temples condition has improved a lot - Systematic markets, good entrance, amazing renovation of temple and every thing neat and clean. Earlier their use to be water over here in which people can go for boating but currently it is closed. The view from temple to Dhauladhar mountains is picture perfect view. U can also enjoy food over here nearby small stream that flow besides the temple. Proper traffic lot is required otherwise it is must visit place.

About Chamunda Devi TempleChamunda Devi Temple, or the Chamunda Nandikeshwar Dham, is one of the most prestigious and renowned holy shrines of the Hindus. It was built during the reigns of Maharaja Umed Singh and is dedicated to Goddess Kali. Chamunda Devi Temple is also known as the abode of Lord Shiva and Mata Shakti and presents the impressive architecture of the old era.The temple is located on the banks of Banganga (Baner) River in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh and is only 10 km from the well-known Palampur city. It is one of the most visited places in Chamba and is full of devotees throughout the year. But, Navratri season is the most bustling time as thousands of devotees come to get the blessings of Chamunda Devi. This 16th-century temple is the unique masterpiece of ancient times and is full of floral and animal carvings on silver sheets. It was built using only wood and gabled roofs. It has a cave-like scoop with structures (Lingam) representing Nandikeshwar (Shiva) and a running water pool with the statues of Lord Shiva and Saraswati at the backside of the temple. Not only this, but the temple complex also houses a handicraft center, which allows visitors to explore the vibrant culture and art scene of the Kangra district through the local artifacts. Visitors can take back souvenirs from a range of items, including wood carvings, wooden toys, handkerchiefs, honey, black pottery, chappals, Kangra tea, and world-famous Kangra paintings, etc. This is the place where radiance glorifies, making everything tranquil and shower fervor. How to Reach Chamunda Devi TempleBy Air: The nearest airport is Gaggal, which is connected through Indian Airlines flight with New Delhi and Chandigarh.By Train: The nearest railway station for narrow-gauge tracks is Palampur, and for broad gauge lines, the nearest railway head is Pathankot.By Road: Dharamshala, Palampur, and Pathankot, are the leading towns of Himachal Pradesh that offer various transport services including state-run buses, cabs, auto-rickshaws etc. One can easily reach the base of hilltop based Chamunda Devi Temple by using public transport and then either trek, climb stairs (378 steps) or drive to the temple.

A lovely temple Goddess Chamunda is the presiding deity here. Devotees have great faith in Devi Chamunda to grant their wishes and to safeguard them from all evils. Good arrangement for puja. Basic infrastructure such as parking etc are available.
No words.. Not only because of the beauty of temple but also for gesture of pilgrims. We visited the temple both during day and night time to see it in daylight and in dark. There will always be rush and you need to cover your hairs with cloth irrespective of gender. Dont worry if you have not got one. They will give it for free near entrance which you need to return after you come out.Else it will be sold everywhere outside the temple for 10/-Also, you need to deposit you footwear in the deposit section. They will give a token as reference. Remember, you shouldnt even wear socks as you need to wash your feet before entering in the mild flowing water. When you enter the temple, there will be drinking water facilities every corner and dont worry, they wash the water bowl after every use. The water will be cold always and you can fill it in your bottle too. There is provision for those who wants ro fake bath in the manmade lake. Also, seperate section is made for ladies to bath. Its open 24hrs but at night Darshan will be only till 10.30PM. But Langar seva will be open 24hrs and they serve food with same enthusiasm till your stomach fills. They serve Roti, dal, rice, sabjj, kheer and water. After having food, you can volunteer yourself for seva like making Rotis, dal or washing dishes, cleaning premises etc..When we went, it was Guru Purab day and we didnt expect such long waiting queue. it got us 5hrs to take Darshan of Waheguru. No Photography Allowed inside. You can donate some amount there.on exit, they serve Karah Parshad for everyone. There are many shopping stalls in premises for you to shop.Try visiting both in Day and night time to enjoy the beauty of temple. You can even sleep outside temple provided you have bought your chadar so that when they wake waheguru in morning 2.30, you witness it.
Holy temple , also known as Brajeshwari dham
It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. The river flowing, the river pebbles around and the temple combined creates a view worth complimenting.

Place is nice. The temple was so quite. And the water felt like blessing. Its was a great experience .
A temple with large structure and great panaromic views.
Beautiful peaceful religious place. Jai Mata di🙏
A very good place to visit not only as a religious person but as a tourist
Wow so beautiful This temple is close to dharamshala town and has its own history and legacy. The ancient aspects of this temple have been marred by the modern constructions and attempts to modernise the temple precincts itself. Such developments were probably needed due to large number of pilgrims that this temple atttracts. However some more forts to peserve its ethnic charms would have been better.
Nice place to visit for hindu shrine. One can visit this place during their visit to Dharamshala and macloadganj
Such a big and beautifull temple
The temple is beautiful . The only problem is with the entrance to the temple. Its from back side
Almost after more than 30years I have revisited this temple. You cant recognise the place, the development that has taken around is unbelievable. Very clean and maintained. One Will surely get peace and satisfaction. Totally blissful
Peaceful place

One of the best temples in north india to visit amid the nature

Its a beautiful temple in the hills with a river flowing through it. The place is very beautiful and peaceful. Anyone who is around Kangra, Dharamshala, Bir Billing or Palampur must drop by. Its a place you wont regret.
