Lots of stationary and hobby materials and certainly best in the area without having to go into Brussels. Also a large choice of materials for small restaurants - which are also very useful for anyone having a party at home. Good selection of seasonal decorations and craft items including Christmas, Easter, and Halloween. Just be sure to avoid busy times such as Saturday and just before beginning of school term time when service can be painfully slow.

My family and I always come to AVA to buy holiday decorations. Unfortunately, we experienced awful customer service today and will no longer return to AVA for our holiday decorations. We came here to buy some New Years Eve balloons and when we went to check out at 15:45, a female employee told us they would not blow up the balloons with helium because they were closing in fifteen minutes. This was odd considering they had just filled some balloons for another customer. Plus, it takes maybe 1 minute to put helium into a balloon. When I asked if they were closed, the employee responded “no, but we aren’t going to fill those balloons now.” I would have been more understanding had the employee not been so rude and dismissive.

A customer without a mouth mask was joining me in the store and I kindly asked him to keep his distance. Then I said to the cashier that this is actually not okay since this is mandatory.The cashier gave him a face mask. Then I told the cashier that it is actually a bit too late now since this man may have infected the entire store. To which another colleague said You could have said that before. I wonder who works here? She or me? During my visit I also saw one of their staff walking around here with his mouth mask under his chin. They were very unfriendly to me personally as I DO follow the rules, while she and that man DO NOT. And correct is correct during this corona period. They could have handled this VERY differently. Instead of pointing out the mans mistake they were only concerned with me that I should report it. Its crazy if customers have to keep an eye on this while there is always someone at the cash register who has a clear view of the entrance and there are at least 4 other staff members walking around in the store to replenish. But good safety is not a top priority here at AVA Overijse during this pandemic, let alone customer-friendly.

Excellent store where you can find a lot of things that are difficult or impossible to find elsewhere. Very pleasant layout with the new Ikea version circuit which allows you to see everything more quickly without getting lost. The employees are pleasant, helpful and know their store well. They always respond with pleasure, whether in French or Dutch. For the moment, there is everything you need at fair prices to make fabric masks for all tastes (there are even patterns) and also anti-viral gel (more rare) new at a price correct.
