Great selection of art products. Unlike Michaels that is a bit more craft based with a small selection of artists supplies. Deserres is more geared towards artists that dabble in painting, drawing, making traditional comics, etc. They do offer a decent craft oriented selection as well.

I was served as soon as I came in. I simply needed a white pen and the nice lady gave me a bunch of recommendation in a ultra professional way, for a simple colored pen. Friendly service is definitely pressent here. Awesome staff!

This is like a candy store for artists. Im amateur so no huge quantities. They offer all I need. What I like the best is when you need help. Young artists work there, so you get good advice.

What an awesome store. In terms of art supplies they have it all. I was shopping for some detailing brushes, the gentleman that helped me was great and enlightened me on the different brushes which was awesome. Lots of selection and great prices!

The store is a gem! I was looking for some paintings which I could put in my music room (listening). The store has all types of murals in different shapes and sizes! I enjoyed shopping here a great deal. The store greeter was happy and pleasant. I asked if he could tell me what area of the store I might find what I was looking for and he told me. I found it right away. The store is set up that well that I am able to follow directions to the product I want without someone having to show me. Very impressive.

Great store with great customer service. Cashiers and workers are always looking to help you find whatever you may need.This store has one of the biggest assorted art products in Ottawa. Spray paints, acrylic paints, oil based paints, they really have anything you could need. They also have a huge amount of frames with different sizes and builds. Not to mention you can even make your own custom 3D frames, however those are slightly on the expensive side. They even have different types of art toys that kids can get immersed in like perler beads and build kits.

Has tons of odds n ends, to do what you love to do. Create, and color... or make a happy accident...rather it the place to get the supplies for said happy accident ...And treasure !!

The best art store we have in Ottawa. Not always stocked well for stretched canvases especially in the larger sizes. I like that you can also order online for the things that are not available locally.

I encourage my children and grandchildren to purchase only DeSerres gift cards for me as the occasions arise. It is a wonderful gift that assists me in the pursuit of my abstract art talent. However, much to my disappointment, I have been told that gift cards cannot be used to pay for online orders. What! This cannot be in 2019, surely. Tell me |I misunderstood and what I have to do to use my cards online, especially at this time of the year when snow, cold weather and ice discourage seniors from driving or even walking to your stores.

This is my favorite art store in Ottawa. They have almost anything you could ask for when it comes to paint, paper (large fine art pieces to pads), canvas, brushes, markers, coloured pencils of all sorts, and more. They also sell open stock for almost any brand they carry, so you can just buy the colours you need to restock any set or personal palate you use.Theyve reorganized the shop so most fine art supplies are at the front on the left side. Craft materials are to the right. If you cant find what youre after, the staff are friendly and willing to help.If you love art youll love this shop.

Toy store for serious and amateur artists. Helpful staff. Got some hard to find copy carbon paper in a large roll and a sweet origami popup card.I recommend this store even for fun but bring some $$ because you will spend it.

Good place for all your artistic needs

Everyone has a thing- mine is crafting. Suffice it to say when I saw this Willy Wonka store of crafts, I was hooked (and stitched into a nice afgan). The only suggestion I have (other than express delivering to my house on a routine basis) is if they could organize their store to have a for beginners section. That way one doesnt wade into the crafting puddle and suddenly find themselves up to their neck.

Its a nice store and the staff is friendly.We felt intimidated...... The staff is very technical and opinionated. They made us feel like we were in the wrong place because we are not professional artists. It was not their intention but over all they were more confusing than helpful.

Its bit more Toys R Us than Id like it to be but I suppose thats to be expected in this day and age, not to mention its in the cities biggest mall so they need to find a way to appeal to normal people and not just the denizens of the art world. Youll find everything youre looking for and theyve got a framer. Staff are very kind and helpful.
