We sat at picnic tables outside. They had live music in the background. It was a perfect place to stop, grab a beer and a snack and rest from our bike ride. I really enjoyed the fresh out of the tap Mill Street Organic. You should try it! Also, the Fiesta Chicken Pizza was quite yummy. Ill come back for more of both next weekend! See you there!

A cute, casual spot with decent food and great service. If you are lucky enough to get a spot by the water, the view definitely enhances the experience. Otherwise, they have a good number of tables available on the patio that, on a nice summer day, makes it worth a visit. Its maybe a touch more romantic than the average pub but still a very casual, laid back atmosphere. Unlike the downtown core, this restaurant is located in its own little corner surrounded by trees and water, with plenty of free parking - great location. They have a good selection of food - pub fare plus a few interesting options like the chicken and waffle sandwich and, my last pick, the Buddha bowl. Nothing mind-blowing but definitely not a miss. I have gone a few times and will definitely be back!

Free parking, access to a trail leading to the Ottawa river, different sitting settings with nice views. Good selection of drinks and food (today however they ran out of almost everything I would have wanted to order, just tried chicken nachos and fries. The service is also nice.

Not a bad place to grab a drink and some run of the mill pub food. I probably wouldnt come here often as there wasnt much to keep you coming back. The Calamari was made well here compared to many places Ive been recently.

Mill Street Brew pub is consistently an amazing experience. The waitstaff and management are top notch and always try to make your dining experience great. (Even when my wife mis ordered something that she couldn’t eat, even though it was clearly described on the menu…they made it better!) sadly the beer store closed just as we wanted to buy some seasonal brews. Good excuse to return.

Great place for patio drinks and the service is outstanding. The food is pretty average though as there were some hiccups. My friends Eggs Benedict came with fried eggs(?!) and the eggs on my breakfast skillet came hard poached. The elements of my skillet dish wasnt hot enough for me, potatoes and bacon were probably pre-cooked and just assembled rather than made to order.The beer options they have are awesome. A server came by with samples of their new watermelon wheat beer which was nice. Every server we encountered was super friendly and cheerful so props to them!Parking: for some reason when we arrived at noon on Sunday the garage was closed and a bunch of Porche car meet guys took up a good chunk of the open air lot. By the time we left the garage was open so FYI they might not open the garage when they do the restaurant.

The skillet is for sure going to fill you up. Very tasty, eggs were cooked perfectly.

Happy to see that they have a few vegan options (which are clearly labelled on the menu)! The Lightlife burger was delicious and filling (I am almost convinced it was a real meat burger haha). Service was a bit slow, but very friendly. The location is great.

Great place to have a meal or just drinks. Servers are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly Historic building on the exterior with several outdoor dining areas one of which is riverside. Dining inside is also a treat as the renovated spaces blend a microbrewery with fine dining. One interior space hangs high over the water Located on an Ottawa parkway a short walk across the bridge from Gatineau Quebec and a few minutes by car from Parliament Hill. Also, directly on the parkway bike path.

I was disappointed. But I dont drink beer. So thats likely my problem. 😁 We had a work lunch which was great, having never actually met my colleagues in person. Company was great. But there were flies and fruit flies buzzing around us the whole time (we had a table inside for some reason). And my bacon poutine was not bad, but disappointed my expectations. Id go again. But maybe more for the company.

Food is good :)Customer service is great!Chairs and table weren’t properly cleaned so my shirt kept sticking to the chair which was uncomfortable. Food is fantastic. More stars will be given when wait staff find their feet during post pandemic era. They need to know their drink menu better, be more attentive to the customers, but they have incredibly huge amounts of customer sections to cover. Tough jobs, Im sure theyll get into the swing of things soon.

Great place. Feels like its out of the city, but is right by downtown. Reasonable prices for good food but the real highlight is the beers.The beer is polished to perfection. It doesnt have the inconsistency of craft beer, but isnt as bland as mass produced stuff. It sits in a perfect place in between where no matter what beer you chose youre going to be pleased. A bonus is that a lot of it is organic.Everything about the restaurant feels like theyve nailed it. They clearly know what theyre doing and it shows. My favorite beer is the Tankhouse Ale!

I usually go to the retail store which has a wonderful selection of beer, including in growlers. I treated myself to the jerk bbq wings this evening and they really hit the spot! Enough spice to feel a burn without being overwhelming. Nachos are also solid.

One of the best steaks Ive ever had!!

I made a reservation. What was the point? I had to wait in line to see the hostess and was put in a part of the restaurant with a broken AC unit and told it would be a 1 hr wait for the patio. When we left sooner then we wanted to because of the heat INSIDE at our table, the patio was almost empty. We would have stayed and had desert and more drinks but it was not offered to us to move. Waitress of not very friendly or welcoming. Food was good and fresh. Cider was refreshing. Next time Ill go somewhere else and spend twice as much $$.

I had the fish and chips today and it was very delicious. Love the ambience and a bunch of of wonderful and friendly staff which can make your experience almost impossible to forget. Definitely going back next weekend for brunch.

Beautiful location, but unfortunately service wasnt so great. After waiting in line to get on a wait list for a table, we were told wed get a text when our table was ready. We waited about 25 minutes, got a text and went back to the host stand, only to be told to wait outside, she would come get us. So we waited outside for another 25 minutes, with many groups going before us. Someone finally came out and asked if anyone had gotten a text for a table, and we said yes, but wed been waiting a while, and we thought we were forgotten about, to which she replied oh sorry.Once at our table, it took a while for our server to come by so we could order food, and even longer later to get our bill. The food was good, but the lack of attentiveness was just unfortunate.

I have eaten at Millstreet several times and have always enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, This last visit left a very bad impression due to the experience with the server. I ordered sparkling water and when it came out as a large bottle, I apologized and asked whether I could change because I didn’t realize it would come out so big, to which she rudely responded that it’s what I ordered and that it couldn’t be sent back because it was already opened, that said, when I went to open it that wasn’t the case. The server was argumentative and disappointingly rude. Although it the food was very good, the overall experience was tarnished and will definitely impact my decision to return in the future.

Went out for lunch on a rainy Sunday. Ordered a Pepsi, they were out. Then I ordered the Noodle bowl, they were out. Imagine being out of one of the most popular drinks and being out of food. Embarrassing.

Great spot and they have made some great changes since COVID. Love how you check their menu on your phone. No more grubby restaurant menus!

From the summer: Went to the Mill Street Brew Pub for lunch on a Monday...Had their Angus burger...Great value and very, very delicious Yukon Gold fries! Got a flight of beer and felt relaxed and ready to tackle my afternoon! Couldnt get a seat by the river-view because of many reservations but overall I was very pleased!

I enjoyed the food. I had the fish and chips. The portion of fries could have been a little more generous.

The food was horrible and they charged us $2 to have a slice of cheese added to the burger. My side dish of sweet potato fries consist of about 1 cup of fry’s. Very dissatisfied.Also the veggie burger was not listed as having pesto but it did. If I had know I would have definitely asked for no pesto.Wish we had gone somewhere else.

The sweet potato fries and the chipotleMayo were incredible!Everyone else who got the Elk Burger or some other burger seemed very much satisfied.Will def have to try the fish and chips next and review again!

I LOVE Mill St Brew Pub!!! The food is always fantastic, and the service is super friendly and welcoming! As a pro wedding photographer, Ive so far attended two weddings at Mill St and I cant wait to go back next fall for another wedding! Ive had lots of wedding meals from other venues that are your classic boring chicken and veggies, but Mill St is something else lemme tell ya! I had the salmon and I still dream about it lol. If youre hoping to serve your wedding guests food and an experience that they will remember, Mill St is an amazing choice!! Highly recommended.

So nice to get out. Fish and chips are amazing. The small coleslaw could have bin a little more chilled for my taste. The beer is cold and tasty, overall are great experience as always.

I used to like this place but the last experience deserved 0 stars. Food was cold and not good. The service was absolutely horrible. Forgot drink orders, food orders over and over. My cousin did not get his food until everyone was done and leaving.

I had the elk burger and it was awesome, locally sourced, and complimented with a goodbbq sauce. I also had their stout beer which was pleasant fora hot summer day. It wasnt too strong and the flavors were a nice blend, not overpowering in any of its flavors.

Great location. We were lucky to get seated in the ruins. Beautiful spot. And great food.

Incredible atmosphere & amazing beverage selection. Free parking & beer store within. Food is good but a bit pricey though, and would NOT recommend the veggie burger unless you’re into a thin piece of rubbery pre-fab. However, I have been 4 times now and always leave satisfied by the overall experience. Worth checking out if you’re willing to spend north of $35/pp for 1 beer + main @ lunch. Really good breakfast deals!

Food is delicious albeit expensive but I find most bars are priced like this in Ottawa. Good selection of ales must have had at least 9 different types on tap. Seems they’ve expanded their outdoor seating considering the current conditions with covid. I’d come back easily, would recommend

This is really a nice spot, and my food was good, although there were a couple of significant glitches with my friends meals. The server was very nice and apologetic, though, and they gave us a free dessert plus a coupon, so that mostly made up for it. I was kind of disappointed in one of their seasonal drafts, but had a West Coast IPA for my second beer and it was thoroughly satisfactory. So I was waffling between 3 and 4 stars, but given that my experience in the past has been better than this last one I went with 4. Ill certainly come back.

Amazing service today! Needed to use the bathroom on the way back fom a bike ride, and was friendly greeted by the front staff and the bartender was so helpful making beer suggestions to a wine drinker. Highlight of my day. Great beer, but most of all, great staff :)

We had Kale salad not exciting but I wanted something small. The yam fries were delicious. Was nice to sit on patio thi abit windy.

Was there with some friends, it was their first time. Service was great and my friends enjoyed the nachos and calamari. And of course the beer.

Nearly impossible to get a seat despite all the picnic tables outside. The food is often cold and mediocre but their beers are not bad. The best part of the restaurant is the view...if you manage to get a table.

Was a great stop on our way home for a quick bite to eat and drinks. Service was good and food was great.

First of all they had live entertainment when we arrived and were treated to an assortment of delightful tunes. Drinks were served cold and quick, big fan of the Batch 1904 cider, Ill pass on the trendy jar next time. Food was excellent. Well executed nachos, delicious burger, and yummy smoked meat. Well done!

Amazing experience and service especially from the manager Kl who was extremely friendly and continuously went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our evening. Will definitely be returning.

Thank you to the staff member who happily refilled my water bottle when I had run out on a hot day while cycling. Shame there was no room on my bike to carry any beer.So looking forward to this place opening. One of the best places to stop for refreshments when cycling in Ottawa.

This place is the worst ever. STAFF GIRLS working on patio are by far the most incompetent arrogant people. This brings a disgusting experience to the beautiful scenery. Beware if you have more then 2-3 drinks they will most likely call the cops if you leave with your car. They act like law enforcement. I recommend you go elsewhere if you intend to drink alcohol.

Nice location. Staff is friendly and attentive. I went just for a drink but some friends did order food. It was well presented and looked delicious.If COVID-19 is still a threat by the time you read this, take hand sanitizer with you to the table as they had none. Dont forget your mask. You will need it if you need to go inside.

My partner and I were looking forward to our reservation at the Mill St. Pub however the service was poor. After ordering drinks our waitress didn’t return until 45 minutes later to take our food order. We ordered a kale salad and margarita pizza. The margarita pizza was an absolute joke (burnt yet somehow cold and tasted horrible). Unfortunately the kale salad made us both feel unwell. We will not be returning.

Love this location near the Ottawa River, Zibi and Chaudiere Falls . Food is always good and service is very friendly and efficient. We were recently taken care of by Halli and as usual it was a great experience. Very clean, very relaxed and lovely atmosphere.

Had a decent experience last night but food was not good. Great atmosphere. They have large patio spaces but they still had a 45 min wait for a weeknight. They have a few patio tables and chairs outside that you can wait at and you can go inside and get some drinks. That includes their store where you can buy cans or bottles at half the price of what is at the bar.The service was good, perhaps a little slow because of how busy they were. The food was disappointing overall. The fish from the fish and chips is excellent. Very thin batyer and great tasting fish. The fries were bad and the poutine was horrible. Something was off with the gravy. The chicken club was plain and boring and pretty tasteless. They were out of calamari and the chicken and waffle sandwich.Will return for the fish and the beer.

We’ve dined at the Mill Street Brew Pub quite a few times over the past years and always enjoy eating and drinking at this quaint place. My most recent visit was just as enjoyable, and our efficient and personable server made the experience great again!

Fast service, no pressure to hurry up when in a really good chat was there for 3.5 hrs. Time flew by and our drinks were topped up.

This place has good food, good beer and a Cool atmosphere that makes you want to hang out. The Mill Street Brew Pub has a extremely awesome location. The building is really nice to look at. You will want to try one of the many in house brews.

Food is ok our waitress was not that efficient we had to wait at least 15 mins to get a drink everytime we order one last order I got up to get the 2 soft drinks from the bar but whatever
