Stayed a week for work. Pros: Cleanliness, organised, service-oriented. The team ensures positive action on feedback. Safe for women and family. Thali meals is good. Complimentary breakfast is adequate for individuals, buffet depends on occupancy. Good sleep quality. No frills, ventilated rooms.Cons: During festival seasons, noise of partying guests who are regulars to the hotel. But mostly a polite request should do. Food can be improved. Need to remind House Keeping to clean.

Ambience was excellent and succulent parking space. Food was very good, particularly Prawns masala. Rates were also quite reasonable.

I went for a meeting which was held in their conference hall . The food was great , hopefully it came from their kitchen. The conference hall was medium size . The draw back was that the roof was slanting type

Do not stay there. There hospitality is living in lakxmi vilas Lodge times. No support from the staff. Even they dont check your ac, bed sheet, faculty before check in.. propety is good but cleanliness and their team is bad. Very sad such a good place is bad bz of staff.

The property is cool from exterior views but the rooms look a bit old. The restaurant service is just above average - might be coz they are running with reduced staff post reopening after the lockdown. Not located very far from the town centre , its good ample parking too.

One of the best destinations in ottapalam if you are in hunt of good cuisine. Kottaram provides nice dishes with great hospitality.Conference halls are also available here.A separate block for Bar is there and if anyone is in need of alcohol can search there.Since all the blocks are well separated, disturbances wont be a matter for those who visits Kottaram.In restaurant, baby beds are available so that managing kids will not be an issue

Let me tell you what I liked. Glad that this place exists in Ottapalam. It definitely maintains some standards. The food was good. Even the North Indian, Chinese and the vegetarian cuisine.its tough in Kerala, let alone in a bit so touristy place. The staff was friendly and warm. The hygiene and standard of rooms are not a concern. The issues that I had were - the slow responsiveness of the housekeeping staff or the reception; the breakfast options are really less, repetitive and sometimes further reduced. For dessert, they will give you ice cream and fruits for all meals and the same is of course there at breakfast. It took a toll even in a fruit liver like me.

A good hotel with a supporting kitchen and restaurant. The location of the hotel is very poor and the connecting road is too narrow. In rainy season the situation is still worse. The supporting staff have little idea about the customer service. The rooms are quite good. Maintenance of wash rooms need attention.

Good restaurant in Ottappalam. Nice food and very good service. Even bar is available. In restaurant we can even pay with card. Reasonable price and tasty food. Parking facility available. Road towards restaurant is a little bit narrow so be extra cautious.

Walked in to Kottaram for a late lunch around 3 pm. The restaurant was empty so got undivided attention from the staff. The food served was good and the service was great. The hotel and ambience are great and I would drop in whenever I travel via this route.

Poor room service. No room boys to take luggage.Charging extra money for extra bed without providing bed. Even for a 5 year old child they charge extra money.This is entirely different from what we expected from Kottaram.........

The ambience is excellent. We got good service at the conference room and our function went off welll.We had booked the entire hotel for 3 days with lots of hope.Quite contrary to our expectations our entire guests fell sick. It was quite painful to see our family members falling sick one after the other. The doctors from all over the world diagnosed the cause was food poisoning. The staff did not apologize or the chef did not take the pains to meet the valuable customer. Beware of the food, quality and the cleanliness of the food served. We could have complained to the Food corporation. We did not want to spoil the reputation. However,be careful before you stay there and have food. Feedback is quite important and the hotel should take it seriously. One cannot play with the health of the customers.

I think this is the best property in Ottappalam. Located at the city center, yet far enough from the main road; Kottaram hotel is located next to an actual Kottaram (palace). Rooms are clean and fairly well appointed. Food is delicious (especially local fare). One of the main minus points is there is no wifi available in the rooms. Its available in the lobby however. Ottappalam being a small town, they dont get a lot of business. Probably explains an overall lack of enthusiasm in service. Cant complain though, because its still a lot better than other hotels in the area.

Good place with a nice ambience. Courteous staff. Food not at all tasty and up to the rate charged. We had fruit salad with rotten fruits and quantity of ice cream was very less with a rate of Rs. 100. Pazhampori (billed as Banana Split, which is actually a dessert) which costs Rs. 8 to 10 outside was billed at Rs. 100, and upon asking, they said it is billing mistake and only Rs. 80 is the rate. It was not at all tasty too.

We stayed here for 1 night, never will. The rooms are dirty, the sink was full of cracks, leaking flush, dirty towels, no cable. This is not the place for family or friends, unless you hate them. Room 104, nightmarish.They said free breakfast while booking. And during payment, they say the limit is Rs 300. Restaurant staff is generally unfriendly.

NEVER make the mistake of visiting or eating at this hotel. An additional, unasked, free item on the buffet is salmonellosis.The smile and courteous behavior of the hotel staff is misleading. The basic hygiene and storage protocol is not followed. We were a group that booked the entire hotel for 3 days,stayed in 18 rooms. Every single person in this group fell sick, from 7 year old kids to 70 year old men, requiring hospital admission. Medical investigation has revealed that it was salmonellosis.Unless your accompanied by a doctor and carrying medication, or booked into a hospital, DONT SET FOOD INTO THE HOTEL. If I couldve rated the hotel a -5, I wouldve done that. STEER CLEAR, LIVE HEALTH.

Good place that is close to the town yet quiet enough for a peaceful stay. The rooms were adequately furnished and comfortable. The bathrooms were clean although the toileteries could have been of better quality. Hot water was available around the clock in the shower. Food delivery to the room was timely and of decent quality but most of the items in their menu were simply unavailable. The staff were quick and courteous. Overall, in its class, I would give it a 7/10.

The place is very ill managed. The room is neat but all the stuff in room is falling apart. There was no cold water in the bathroom, on complaining the guy came with a bucket of water. We changed the room and the AC was not working. There were no towels at all in the room. The faucet was broken and the ppl who work there have no idea what to do. Very poor service.

Classy, peaceful stay. I would have given it five stars from the outset, except for small niggles like a lack of attached cabs and less than perfect food. The food, I must say, is very good - but a couple of things I tried, especially the porotta was oily! Overall, though, the ambience and service is excellent.Edit: Food has improved vastly! Upgrading to 5 stars! Autos/taxis will be arranged by the reception staff. Housekeeping staff are especially good, as are the wait staff. FO is also very helpful.

One of the best hotels in Ottapalam, Palakkad District. Courteous staff, excellent services, ample parking space etc. Away from town and can enjoy scenic beauty.

Ottapalams, luxurious hotel. Its gift proved to be its curse nd some may say demise. However if it was not for the bar, ot couldve been shut down long before. Dont let that stop you from enjoying the cuisines here, they are tasty and worth a try.

First of all, there no new photos to post. I stayed there for one week and here is what I have to tell you . First of all there is no WiFi in rooms, it is a fake ad. The food is old, you will get E coli poisoning, The plumbing is horrible water leaks from everywhere, they have installed the cheapest TV and resold air conditioners. All my colleagues had E coli infection, this is an urgent message. Please shut down the hotel
