I only go there when I dont have any other choice. If youre just a homeowner you get little to no help. But if youre a contractor they are all over you. I doubt that I been in any of their places a total of 12 times in 30 years. But this unfriendly attitude comes down from management.

Unfortunately, they did not have what I was looking for. This has happened multiple times here unfortunately and once again I had to go to Walmart of all places to find what i needed.

The pricing is competitive, good service, keeps appointments in time and professional. I did better there on tire prices than other tire stores.

Great customer care organization and most have knowledge in what they are selling..... I can also from professional view I worked at Lowes selling building materials. I have knowledge in this field from being in construction other employees werent given proper training or knowledge..... Hamshaw definitely trains their employees....

Just stopped for some plumbing parts

Went online looking for a water heater website said they had 2, drove there they didnt have any. Guy said corporate does it all the time. I wont go back.

Excellent service, had a little difficulty finding what a was looking for. But staff was courteous and helpful. Prices were reasonable and place was remarkably well organized. I was greeted upon arrival outside and even had the door opened for me. Ill be back again!

The staff in the store, tries hard to help, and are willing to go dig if they need to. There are a few characters in the back, if youre not sure what you exactly need, theyre not very sympathetic. Its a smaller Ace store then others Ive visited. Their store in Keene New Hampshire is much larger and has a better selection, in my opinion.

Travelers, this is a local hardware store. Skip the big box and try coming here for all you hardware store needs. You can get all paint, tools, home interiors like kitchens, flooring, and bath. Everything you find in a home Depot you can get here with a lot less hassle. We use this for all our home improvement needs. 😊

Was on hold for well over 10 minutes then when a woman answered the phone she was short with me and very rude, quick to try to get me off the phone and all I wanted to do was ask her two questions about one product... I’d give them zero stars if I could.

Hamshaw is great I was looking for a well relief valve they had one thats what matters prices might be a little higher than other places but its close to me Im willing to pay a couple extra dollars more so I dont drive too far away from home they have lots of Hardware stuff there for you

If you need a reason for keeping it local for you home projects and so much more this is the place to go! I was here to look at chainsaws as mine had issues with blade falling off. At no point was I pressured into purchasing something that I did not need. In fact, Sam, one of the employees, offered to take a look at my chainsaw and said they could try to see if there might be an issue with it before I go and purchase a new one. Sam was very helpful, just like the rest of the employees here at Hamshaws Ace Hardware. I was able to return with my broken saw one minute before they closed and Sam still took a look at it and put it back together for me. The employees stayed open several minutes while Sam workednon this. He went above and beyond what Im sure his job expects. I am so grateful for his help.So Keep it Local for your needs for all those projects around the house and yard because this place has just about everything you might need.The entire staff is so knowledgeable to help you out, no matter the situation as they work as a team.

Needed to replace my Schrock Cabinet under counter wastebasket hardware. Dan assisted me in the cabinet department. The original build designed was discontinued ( I can imagine as mine broke) it took some time and a lot of leg work for all concerned, but in the end Im very happy with the new design and the service Dan and Henshaw lumber provided. I know I not the easiest customer to please!! Great Job Dan!!!

The functionality of the website is outstanding. Because the item locater is highly accurate and up-to-date. Superior to the Big Box conterparts that do not offer this feature.Was looking for a certain snowblower here in Massachusetts but because of all big blizzards and recent snow- everything had been sold out.the online locater revealed the only one in inventory was very an hour away in Orange MA. Called to verify and a very helpful employee named Blane held it for me. Drove an hour in the snow and when I got there it was beingheld for me. Lots of nice folks in the store. Blane was busy when I arrived so someone else helped me. As I was putting the item in the car, Blane came out to say hello before I left. That was a nice touch.The whole experience was outstanding. Would not have driven in a snowstorm so far away if not for the locater and the helpful workers. Icing on the cake: Just now a few hours later I checked and the item doesnt show online. Shows sold out. Which gives me even more confidence.In short- your online inventory checker rocks. This is an angle you should use to beat Lowes and Home Depot. Give Blane a raise.
