Not a tourist destination but beautiful none the less. The hand carved outer temple is breathtaking as well as the interior altars as well. The priest on duty will tell you about Hindu worship and allow you to walk around.

This is a good place for spiritual enrichment. Unfortunately, too many ppl ruin the atmosphere by focusing on taking selfies (even within the temple). I think that’s highly inappropriate, but to each his own.

So beautiful. Hare Rama! I love this temple. I visit anytime Im in the Portland area. Im grateful for the people and the love. I attended Ramayana reading once. I was the only white person but the priest was very loving and accepting of my naive temple ways. I am grateful for his inclusion. Hare Krishna! Hare Rama

I love the ambience and small feeling of goosebumps as you enter the temple along with the high you get by the fragrance inside the temple is spirit lifting and pumps positive energy along. Sundays are best as they provide free lunch and go early you get a chance to help fellow people to make it possible with ease.

I have been to the Hare Krishna Temple in Maryland. I have also been to this temple here where I reside in Nebraska. At the Hare Krishna Temple I was greeted by several people. So many were warm, smiling, and eager to meet a new face at the temple. I have been going to this temple in Nebraska for about a year and not a single person has introduced themselves. I think this temple is perhaps more beneficial for personal meditation and personal offerings to deities such as prasad or incense sticks. The representations of the deities are extremely impressive and vivacious. You have to behold the statue of Lord Ganesh. There has always been a little food sitting out when I have been there and it is very delicious. I have to give it five stars because I am pleased there is a temple in Nebraska where I can make offerings to God. Also, the food is really tasty. I just wish that the temple staff made more of an effort to greet newcomers.

John Doe:This question is for you, Are you coming to temple to pray for god or to eat like a pig, if you are expecting food court at the temple, you better go to some sort of restaurant and eat till your belly flat.People come to temple for peace, not to eat.

Its nicely maintained, beautiful hindu temple in Omaha, NE. At first I was littleclumsy in going there, thinking the hindu temple in US must be more like a makeshift temple, but the opposite is true. Its so nice and beautiful. The outer look is also as rich as an original architecture found in asia and the vibes inside is also authentic. If you have been visiting indian style temples, this place would make you feel home. Each diety inside is fiercely and minutely maintained. The priests in the temple are very friendly. Temple, on the other hand, holds a lot of religious festivals and programs. Its a very nice social platform for hindus in Omaha.
