Pretty rough in more ways than one. They have two shelters to rent with a picnic table in each. One was rented for a birthday party and everyone decided to be barefoot. Kids had balloons with large sequin confetti and popped them all over the playground equipment. The sequins stuck to their feet. The swings chains were rusted. One kid that was under 5 yrs old took the magic out of the f word because it was used so much (I work with sailors). He also kept walking one step behind my daughter and running over her. Theres so many cleaner and better maintained parks anywhere.

Fun family place, the trail is a good place to explore with kids. Good place for a family picnic. Get good pictures from that area too.

Great little park right off the Indian Creek bike trail. No formal bathroom though. They do have porta potties.

This park is a fantastic place for the entire family. Not only is there a two-part playground that is in the style of a ship, but one side is for the smaller children while the other is for the older ones and they are linked by a set of monkey bars! Additionally, there is an ample swing set with a side for small ones as well as for everyone. There is rubber for the flooring beneath the swings and a faux grass beneath the playground. There are multiple pavilions with a grill and trash can located nearby as well as a walking trail that is paved and a few that are not. Nearby, there is a soccer field. Overall, it is truly a fantastic experience every time we go. Do keep in mind that some of the people there are not wearing masks and social distancing is basically non-existent for the children of course.

I know theyre getting old, but the sailing-ship playground equipment is always charming. There are trees that have been allowed to grow big over the long stretches of tedious, unused grass, so shade is nicer here than many other parks. And because this park is parked right against the trail system on Indian Creek, once youre into this park, youre avoid the dangerous car traffic that surrounds and edge-haunts most city and county parks.

Great park! My kids love going here. Also a great place to walk and/or ride bikes on the trail. Well maintained.

We love this park. Cant wait for the Friday night concerts ... sure missed them last year. Love the trail and it is respected enough to stay clean!!

Three year old loved it. Yes, the equipment is rated for 5-12 year olds but when watched closely even younger ones enjoyed the ship themed wheel or the barrel seats.

This place is so cool! I took my toddlers here and they had such a blast.Theres a beautiful shaded and paved walking trail, for bikes and walking.All areas were clean and the playground was nice and shaded which was great for a 90 degree day.We will definitely be back for another visit.

Pretty dirty (which caused tons of flies) but if you can get past that it is fun.

I set up outdoor concert series here at least 3 times a year, very pretty, olathe is a very friendly city.

Beautiful to go with family. Great for soccer fans. Has soccer field, walking path, baseball fields, and small playground.

Great place to spend a couple of hours on a sunny day. Today may have been the best day of fall 2018 temperature wise. Any bicycle enthusiasts would do well to pedal these concrete trails approaching sunset for a truly enjoyable experience.

Great for adults, but had much higher hopes for the playground! The plastic pirate ship in the pictures, and two sets of swings are all there is for kids to play on.

Great park! The ship theme is fun on the play equipment. There is a lot to offer with a soccer field and a baseball field, as well as a paved trail. Its frequented by dogs, but most seem to pick up their waste. I havent seen any lying on the ground really! It is a well maintained park.FYI When we last visited (early Oct 2020) there was a wasps nest under one of the black steps on the side of the ship with the curved slide. Be careful!

The basketball goal needs a better placement. Theres only one and its in an unevenly planned parking lot. At least it has a goal though!

Grand kids liked it. I liked the artificial grass. Its soft incase they fall down. No chunks of mulch/plastic for the little ones to pick up.

A spacious park in southern Johnson County. Recreational space including trails biking and hiking (paved and unpaved), sports fields, hosting water recreation small lake, golf course, dog park, several playgrounds, and picnic shelters.

In times like these... I have grown to appreciate parks a lot more, however, I just sit in the car and enjoy the scenery. Its a smaller park and it doesnt have a pond or lake but it does have areas for activities. I have been to a lot of parks lately and I have been here a couple of times. That says a lot...

This is a very nice park. I have been several times to watch my grandson play baseball. His younger brother loves playing on the playground. They have 2 nice baseball fields any plenty of open space for kids to run and play games. I have meant to walk the trail but havent taken the opportunity yet.

Good park. The pirate ship is good for the kids. Lots of interactive things to play on. The baseball fields are well kept. The bleachers are metal and can get a bit hot. And the parking is lacking, especially on baseball mornings. Still a great park.

Road my bike hard and since my heart did not explode, stopped for a water break at the bubbler and then back home.

Decent park. There’s great access to the trailhead which is nice. We go to a lot of baseball games here but there is also a pretty nice kids play area.

Good to take your kids to play...it has a playground that is clean and quiet..it also has a soccer field.

Access to Indian Creek trail and a nice playground with mature trees for shade.

Small Park, but does the best it can do..Concerts on Fridays is usually a good place to hang out for a few hours.Connects to the Bike / Walking Trails that can take you a few miles in either direction. Easy to get in and out of.. Just watch out for the little kids playing as you come of the Trail by the Picnic Areas

Its a nice park with ball diamonds, plenty of room to run. It has a play ground and restrooms. Its special today as they are hosting the storybook run.

Nice park for different outdoor activities. Indian Creek trail runs right through here, so quite a bit of bike and foot traffic.

This was a great park. The ship themed play set is fun for your young buckaners. This is also one of the few public parks in southern Olathe that still has standard swings to play on. Lastly this park is one of the larger open areas for kites and frisbees.

Great park for kids or adults. There are swings, slides, 2 shelters, 2 baseball fields, and plenty of grass and shade for a nice picnic. The Indian Creek Trail also runs along the back of the entire park and is excellent for walking, running, or biking. The only downside is that there are no permanent restrooms but there are still some portable ones that are serviced regularly.

Its a friendly place with a newly built playground. Nice walking trail around the lake. I only wish there was fish in it. Id give it a 5☆ if it was stocked with fish.

Good place if you want to go for a stroll or if you just want some quiet. But also a good place to bring your kids and have a little fun.

Beautiful neighborhood park

The lawn is well kept. There are two pavilions; one is wheelchair accessible. The playground is good quality and safe with soft plastic tiles on the ground.

Lovely park but grass needs to be mowed. Awesome playground equipment for the kids, two ballfields for young players, and loads of grassy area to kick back in. Limited shade, though, so if you are sun-sensitive, take an umbrella! Porta-potties in the parking area.

What a great place came down and watch Liverpool a Beatles band. Great show and time.

I went to a Olathe live concert...it was great. The park itself is very beautiful and well taken care of.

Love this park, love the trail, my little dogs love it too and if you go in the morning you will find deer and rabbits along the path, being from out of town, this park was a real find, they had a free concert in the park last night for the community that was pretty awesome!

Overall, good playground for the younger (3-8) kids. Everythings a little small for pre-teens. Its obvious it hasnt been updated in a while. The cushioning on the floor is older, and falling apart. But the atmosphere is nice, and my 3 and 5 year olds loved it.

This has swings for babies and small children.

Great neighborhood park - especially if you have kids!

This park is amazing for children!

So my 4 year old and almost 18 month old never play together at parks, but this playground is condensed enough and set up in such a way that I can track my 4 year old and make sure my dare devil toddler does not fall off the playground equipment at the same time. This is rare as so many parks are too spread out for this and have play equipment that would not be safe for my clumsy 4 year old unless someone was right with her. Does get busy when school lets out though so if you are taking littles go before then.
