Fair BBQ. Great service. Fun sauces. They have three sauces to meet your meat. I had the smoked chicken, it was tasty and tender. My wife had the rib platter. Fresh salad and sweet corn bread. The ribs were a little dry but still tasty. Easy in and out with easy to get to drinks. They could use a PA system to announce orders. If in town again, we would come back. Why? Mercia!
We had them cater our wedding and all I can say is that we were blown away not only by how good the food was but the level of service, professionalism, and presentation of their food!! We are still having friends and family talking about how good the food was. When we ran into problems from preparation forSupplies on our side during our cake cutting their team jumped in to help!! They really helped make our day something to remember!
We tried this place for the first time yesterday after living here for quite some time. Service was top notch, friendly and helpful. We ordered some brisket and three sides with one each of their sauces to go. Lets start with the sides…the loaded potato casserole was amazing! So. Good. The country beans were also very, very good. Real beans with some meat and a nice smoke flavor. Creamy slaw was a tad bit to sweet for me but good none the less. Now, the brisket was disappointing. It was cooked perfect, nice size slices, juicy and right amount of smoke however it had so much salt on it that it was almost inedible WAY to much salt. Which was sad because it truly could have been some of the best Ive had and Ive had a LOT of brisket. We will be giving them another try hoping it was just a “fluke” or off night. I want this to be my new favorite KC BBQ joint!
Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of any of the food, because it was all destroyed. The food was beyond delicious. When I got home, unfortunately part of my order was missing. I called they apologized and offered to bring me the part of my order that was missing! I of course offered to just go pick it up myself, I did place a $200 order 15 minutes before they closed so I felt guilty. The entire staff including the owner were amazingly friendly and sweet. The burnt ends were juicy with a slight crisp edge. The macaroni and cheese was so delicious. Don’t even get me started on the french fries and cornbread…… I will probably come back just for the cornbread. Don’t give me wrong I will of course order other food it was all delicious but that cornbread was something else. Also, I just have to mention again how wonderful the staff was. They were all so sweet and the ambience was very homey, I look forward to coming back again!
Love this place! The Burnt End Burner sandwich is my favorite. So much so that I have a hard time ordering anything else when we eat here. The Loaded Potato Casserole and Jalapeño Poppers are a must. All of the sauces are delicious. You can also order through their drive-through window which is a nice feature if you want to stay in your car.
Tried this place for the first time and right off the bat I cane out with a large order of me not knowing what to expect. The whole chicken had great seasonings and was cooked to perfection. Their Burnt End Burner sandwich is what gave it away. The meat was so tender and the toppings had their place too. They gave me 3 of their BBQ sauces and they were pretty good. Overall this is a place that I wish I tried a while ago.
Greatest experience ever. Burned ends sandwich was very moist, ham salad was just perfect (usually when I order it else where its salty as heck), potato salad had a very nice texture and flavor to it. We also were lucky enough to meet owners and found out that it is family ran business. Im all up for supporting small family business. Give it a try. Its finger smacking good. They used to compete too. Great place.
Maggie and her team are amazing! I was so impressed with the costumer service i received. So nice and professional. I arrived to pick up my food which was to feed 20+ people and they carried it out to my car for me, it was hot, tasty, and juicy. Top notch bbq and we know our bbq. We didn’t want to drive all the way to our favorite BBQ restaurant, so we tried CGE. The sandwich(pulled pork) was great. It was topped with bacon (very lean bacon) and the portion was very generous. The baked beans, which is always my favorite side order, were the best ever!!! This has become my favorite BBQ place. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Lil chicken meal gave more food then I could eat in one sitting. Chicken was juicy. Would definately go again.
WOW! We finally pulled the trigger and tried Crazy Good Eats...and WOW is the only word that comes to mind. We tried the Saturday special (bacon wrapped chicken stuffed Jalapeño poppers), BBQ nachos, smoked chicken and BBQ meatballs. Nothing disappointed! It tasted like a home cooked meal. Prices very reasonable for portions and quality. And the service was amazing...everyone very genuine. I can’t wait to try again and recommend friends/family.
Today I went to a work lunch that the food was supplied by CGE. The brisket was some of the best I have ever had, and I am super picky on my BBQ. The baked beans were awesome. I was very impressed. The BBQ sauce that was with it was great. I will definitely be eating lunch there in the future.
The food and sauce that were ordered were great. I ordered my food to go and it took approx 25 minutes to receive the food. While I waited two separate dine in orders were filled prior to mine. Both of those orders were placed about 5 and 10 minutes after I placed mine. I believe that is unacceptable service.
First time and happy I gave it a shot. Had the burnt ends and KC sandwich. Sandwich was delicious and all of the meat tender. Burnt ends were nice and tender but the bark on them was really salty. I had to use the sweet sauce to tone it down as much as possible. They have delicious sauces, I think most would find at least one of them appealing as well.
I got the pulled pork and rib pieces sandwich which was really good. Id definitely go back and when I do go back, Im getting the burnt ends. They looked awesome. Saw someone eating a plate of burnt ends and yeah they looked really good. My coworker got the burnt ends and I tried one. Yep, tender, juicy, nice and charred. Im thinking everything on their menu might be awesome. Sauces are good too.. sort of reminds me of carribean cowboy brand but not too sweet. Will definitely be going back multiple times.
I won a party pack for 4 at a gala fundraiser. When COVID hit, I forgot about it, and by the time I thought about using it, I was already almost one year past the certificate expiration date. However, the restaurant graciously allowed me to use it anyway. Wow - was it amazing! The turkey and pulled pork were so tender and flavorful, and the beans and loaded potatoes were fantastic. Everything we ordered was incredibly yummy. I highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be back!
Try this place as soon as you can! I live down the street from Crazy Good Eats, and Im embarrassed to say it took me FAR too long to try this place out. Their portions are good sized, and the food has always been delicious. I enjoy their KC Original sandwich with a side of burnt ends BBQ beans! My only complaint so far is the drive thru: Im asked to pull around to the patio parking, but there is only one spot available. It would be nice if they had a smoother drive thru system in place.
Great little hole in the wall place. Came highly recommended to me and now I can see why. Food is fantastic! Split the Championship Platter with my kiddo, and we brought food home with us. Burnt ends were smokey and tender, chicken was juicy and hot, ribs were fall off the bone tender. Ill definitely be back at Crazy Good Eats! You should check them out!
Been there before. 2 smoked turkeys last thanksgiving. burgers etc for the occasional family meal. yesterday picked up meat and sides for a hungry 6 people. excellent (i did brisket and pulled pork). 6 people, all six 5 stars. would definitely suggest the loaded potato casserole, but all their sides are excellent. do yourself a favor, and you will also be supporting a local enterprise. 2 kc metro long time bbqs have shut down since covid. support this one. good service, excellent food, prices equal to or a little better than any other bbq in the metro.
3 stars because I could possibly be convinced to try again. We got takeout from here recently. They forgot the egg for my Cobb salad, the kids complained that their meat was too fatty, and the biggest mistake was they didn’t pack any bbq sauce! No one wanted to drive 30 minutes round trip to get some, so luckily our bottle of Joe’s saved the day. But I would really like to know how their sauce tastes.
Smoked meat smell outside entrance got me excited. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The prices were comparable to other KC BBQ joints; cheaper than upscale places. Good food for a good price. The Burnt Ends had a nice smoke ring and a good amount of fat on them for excellent flavor. I couldve used a little bit more bark on them.The sides I tried were mostly average. Nothing really jumped out at me. The best was probably the cheesy corn which was thick, creamy and had corn sized bits of ham mixed in it.The sauces were all sweet. The sweetest had a bright red color an tasted strongly of strawberry. The hot sauce was good. More sweet than spicy. The competition sauce was the best. Dark reddish/brown in color. A sweet KC type BBQ sauce with garlic, onion and several other spices I couldnt identify. Both sweet and savory.Overall, Crazy Good Eats hit all the right spots. Order was extremely expensive for not very much food, order was incorrect-we got green beans instead of cheesy corn and only enough Cornbread for 1 although we were serving 13 and had asked for 13 servings...they also charged $15 for plates when they didnt tell us they would charge for that, and asked for a tip at the drive thru. 100% regret.
Brisket and pulled pork were very good. Doing a good job cleaning the tables before you sat down.
The food was very good and the girl working the cash register was very knowledgeable and friendly!
I had them cater my husband’s 50th birthday party. The food was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed it. The owner followed up the next day. I would definitely recommend!
Ive tried this place a few different times and Im just not at all impressed. Sauce seems like its Karo syrup and paprika. Burnt ends tasted like carbon instead of char. Fries were crispy but the seasoning was unimpressive. I guess Im spoiled by the real bbq places around here but CGE is not worth the trip.
Ribs are perfect. Wings are perfect. Sweet potato and regular fries are perfect. Pickles are a little sweet, taste homemade. Two different kinds of cole slaw- both good. Yummy green beans. The baked beans are too sweet for my taste, but husband loves them. Cornbread on the side of dinner plates is a nice touch. A few suggestions: Offer extra napkins! Offer butter with the cornbread. Friendly staff and family owned. Delicious!

The price is right at this small bbq joint! Their Saturday special is a sandwich, side and drink for ~$8. The food was tasty especially the burnt ends. The fries are crispy and one side order is enough to share between two people.The competition sauce was my favorite. I was disappointed by one of the sauces (dont remember the name). It tasted exactly like generic sweet and sour sauce youd find at any Asian restaurant.Would return to try other menu items, especially at the price.
I tried Crazy Good Eats for the first time today. The brisket was awesome, very flavorful, lean, and tender. The cornbread was the best I’ve ever had. I appreciated the ability of a drive through service during this pandemic and highly recommend this restaurant. Planning to return.

I had friends in from out of town and wanted to go to KC Joes but they were closed. Thank goodness because we found this gem. Jordan was fabulous and helped us choose the right items. We may be eating this food for two days but that’s fine with us! The corn fritters and loaded potato salad were awesome. The ribs and burnt ends were the best we’ve had. Thanks Jordan for all your help. I’ll be back!!
First time there and it was pretty good.
My pulled pork was really good. The cornbread was good also, but it wasnt warm. I was expecting the country green beans to be tender, but they were firm. Ill pick a different side next time.

Pathetic. Lacks flavor. Ribs tasted old and maybe heated in the microwave. Brisket was dry. Not much smoke, notice the lack of s oke ring and bark. Sausage tafted boiled. No smoke. Potato salad wasnt too bad. Needs more spice. This place was good at one time. Guess today was not their day. Not worth the $18.70. and dont be stingy with the pickles.
The BBQ is fantastic. Their loaded potato casserole is on poiby along with their green beans and macncheese. Favorite meats are their brisket and pulled pork. Place is solid all around though, its hard to go wrong.

We live down the street from here and I believe this place can get overlooked but im always reminded each time I drive by to go and try this place. It took being pregnant to crave BBQ, so I did. And now I am so Glad I did because I didnt even need the BBQ sauce(very delicious), I ended up eating the pulled pork, sliced sausage, beans and potato soup from them. All different flavors bursting in your mouth and the perfectly smoked taste comes through just right. Smoked meat that you dont have to smother in BBQ is a huge deal for me. So definitely make the stop, you will get the owner from time to time and he is so kind and very open to questions about the meat and his process. You just feel home on a sense. We go by and get the jalapeño cheese sausage for our own homemade potatoes soup just because we love their meat! Everything weve tried is good so far. And their smoked meat is always bursting with flavor, never disappointed!
Everything is good from what I had. Ribs and chicken were good. Burnt ends were very fatty. That is the Only reason you get a 4..
We were in for lunch. It was our first visit so we didnt know what to expect. You order at the counter and then pick up your meal when called. I am pretty picky about barbecue and KC has a bunch of good places. I would put Crazy Good Eats right up there. We had the brisket and it was smoked perfectly and nice and lean. We will be back for sure.
Great food and I always want to support them. What I, and many others, object to is (1) employees wearing too large of a mask and it drooping, (2) having mask intentionally below the nose when it is suppose to be covered, (3) not wearing a mask at all as was seen on the cook/food preparer, (4) frequently getting the order incorrect, (5) and being verbally asked if I would like to add a gratuity saying they were trying to avoid passing a pen back and forth. Many people do not feel it is necessary to tip when going through a drive-thru. In addition, a tip (T-I-P) means To Insure Promptness and paying the food amount and a tip before receiving the food does not allow the patron the opportunity to TIP based on the degree of a restaurants actual performance. CGE......get with the program so all of your loyal customers can feel comfortable eating at your great establishment. Thanks, Jim
Unfortunately one of my and my family’s worst Thai food dining experiences. We were seated and then waited 30 minutes for our drinks to be taken and then another 10 minutes after to take our orders. Mind you we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time. Our food took about 50-60 minutes to arrive and the customer service was average. Unfortunately the food was also very low quality as well. My siblings and I ordered 3 low/no spice Pad Thai and they were all too spicy, we couldn’t finish our meals. My father and brother in law got the Bancock fried rice and pineapple pork fried rice and they both lacked flavor and were loaded with spice.The owners seem like very genuine and honest working people, but we will never be returning to this restaurant. The other customers were served before us even after we arrived earlier. Hopefully they can improve!

Crazy Good Eats isnt bad...but I wouldnt say its good. Im sure its partially because Im comparing it to the likes of Joes KC and Johnnys but this would never be our first choice.The good: its clean, there were lots of open tables, and the meat was alright. Its located pretty close to our house.The bad: (Im just going to list things out.) All of the sides we ordered were things that tasted like they had definitely been grabbed from a freezer and then fried. Everything was greasy. Everything. As for service, the woman working the register was pretty rude to us and made us feel like a nuisance, offered no help when we were trying to figure out what to order, and totally rushed us (even though there was no line.) The sauces are okay, but nothing too special. We didnt like the original sauce (other than the name), the sweet sauce was unique but almost syrup in consistency, and the spicy sauce tasted exactly the same as the sweet. For the price, it really didnt seem worth it.

I got a lot of food for $138 , it was decent BBQ I had to eat it with barbecue sauce and Im a person who likes to eat dry rub BBQ. The ribs and chicken are good and my daughter love the mac and cheese and jalapeno sausage everything else I order was just okay thats why I gave them a 3. I definitely will go back if I had a lot of people coming over to eat.
Really loved Crazy Good Eats!! The meat was so tender & flavorful!! We had a coupon for a BOGO for the KC Original & really enjoyed it! We also tried the Cheesy Corn & it was pure heaven!! We highly recommend them & can’t wait to try some of their other menu items!! Yum!!

What a perfect name for this place. I had the sample platter, it was huge. Sides of corn, Mac and cheese, and slaw. All good. The fried assortment was also yummy., as well as sweet potato fries. Will definitely be back.
Had to order at the window because the speaker didn’t work. The young woman handled that well. Once I ordered and paid, I was asked to pull around and wait for them to bring my food out to me. It took about 20 minutes for my food to come out. When I got home, the food was tasty but not hot. I will try again.
This was my first visit to this establishment, I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. I will definitely be back sometime soon.
I live 3 mins minutes away, maybe 7 minutes by walking. This place has always had amazing food. Everything we have ordered has been delicious. But what I dread about this place is calling in for a pickup order or catering. Every time my wife or I call, we are always placed on hold for 15-20 minutes before we finally hang up. We have now replaced our favorite bbq spot with Texas Roadhouse. Sorry CGE, but I’d rather drive 15 minutes to pickup my food rather than waiting on hold for that same amount of time.

Food is good but it’s a total pain in the AZZ to place a carry out order which with Covid you would think that would be pretty important to them. But it’s more annoying calling 87 times until someone answers 🤷🏼♀️ then to of course be placed on hold. Get it together people.

Hadn’t eaten here in awhile. Fare here is good, especially the sides. Tried the fried basket with fried pickles, fried jalapeño coins and fried jalapeño corn nuggets; not bad. Sunday was wing special and I’d never tried their smoked wings before so I added that to the order. Should have ordered 24 of those. They were habanero pineapple smoked wings, and they were fantastic! Didn’t pull a Buffalo Wild Wings and drown the wing post-cooking in the sauce. Just enough of the sauce to get a hint of the pepper and pineapple; didn’t drown out the smokiness of the wing.
Soooo good! Great amount of meat on a very good sandwich (KC Original), and the sides were very tasty (fries - super crispy, creamy coleslaw, and cheesy corn). The drive-thru attendant was easy-going and nice to talk to. I will definitely come here again!

Finally stop and tried. Ordered burnt ends, brisket, ribs and meatballs. Food was phenomenal! Bruce is finishing the patio and expanding the inside with a small bar. Cant wait to watch a game here. Good family atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Great hole in the wall BBQ! Meat was juicy and tender. Its not table service, but it is the typical BBQ, no plate just wax paper on your tray, with paper towels at the table. It was very friendly service, they call you order by name when done. The sauces were all too sweet for my taste but the spicy was good enough. I had the sweet potato fries which were well done too! Definitely will be back, I suggest any BBQ lovers try it.

Very good food! The meat was moist and tender. It was a lot of food for a great price.
French fries were really good and hot. Everything else was lukewarm. Turkey sandwich was not the best. Three thick pieces of turkey on a bun - not much flavor. Beef and pork sandwich was tasty, but not hot. Onion straws were barely warm too. Sorry, but truthful review.

The KC Original was excellent- I could only eat half - the homemade fries were fresh and hot - and for sure get the barbecue baked beans.
Yesterday was our first time in this restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the courteous service, with the fine food and wine and with the friendly pay. We will definitely go back there again.
Ribs and brisket were outrageous. The slicedHam was sliced too thick and was dry.
My son and I get take out there every Friday night. We have tried about everything on the menu but we have our favorites that we almost always get. Burnt end Burger and KC Original with a side of Crazy Fries that we share. Love the sauce hot and spicy sweet!

My fiancé and I decided to eat here tonight using a BOGO Birthday coupon! The coupon allowed us to buy one Signature Plate get one free. We chose the Insanely Good plate that came with 2 ribs, 2 choices of meat, a side, cornbread and pickles. My fiancé and I got the same plates with different meat choices so we had variety! Total we got 4 ribs, Jalapeño cheddar sausage, ham, brisket and smoked turkey. For our sides we got French fries and burnt end beans! The only negative things I can say about our experience is that our food took about 25 minutes to come out and some of the meat was not hot. The ribs and the ham were THE BEST part about our dinner! The beans were super delicious also! Though the sauce is good, in my opinion, it’s not my favorite. I prefer a thicker sauce with more tang/heat. The sauce choices were all good, but I didn’t feel myself craving more. The ham, however.... I just can’t wait for lunch tomorrow! The staff is super friendly and helpful and the restaurant is clean. Overall a good experience, we would visit again!
The BBQ is fantastic! We have tried the brisket, ribs, pork, ham, and hot dogs! None of them have let us down, the sauces are all great too. The service is wonderful, the restaurant and bathrooms are very clean, we will continue to visit this location!
We catered a small party recently. The positives were the food was delicious. The pork was not pulled but in large chunks. I paid the per person price for 3 meats and 2 sides. This was a mistake. You are better off getting your own table ware and buns and ordering a la carte.

Its pretty good. They had some issues with the smoker getting the consistency stabilized, but I think theyve got it all worked out by now.Not sure if they still have it, or maybe its just a special; but I had this amazing Mac & Cheese with BBQ pork--I believe they season it with meat drippings or something, because it has an amazing after-taste. They changed the menu since they first opened, and the last couple times I was there I didnt see the large bowl of it.
Great little BBQ joint in Olathe. They are a little creative with some of their sandwiches and sides, which I like. They have meatballs, which are delicious, and great sausage.This past visit I ordered the Thursday special, a pulled pork sandwich with ham and slaw on it. It was awesome. The ham was not sliced ham like I thought I was going to get. Well, it was sliced ham but thick off the bone slices, not like lunch meat.The sauces are all decent sauces. None really stood out as amazing, but I always end up mixing all the sauces together anyways.The service was excellent. Perfect. The cashier was friendly and informative, the cooks or manager came by and asked how everything was. It was great.Overall, pretty crazy good eats. Not crazy great eats, but crazy good, yes.
Went today with a couple a friends. This place was great! I had the burnt ends which were awesome!! There sauces offer you an interesting variety. Theyre are many options for sandwiches. A buddy ordered this sandwich that had pulled pork, brisket and bacon topped with onion strings. They said it was awesome! Fries and sides are good but Im really looking forward to trying their bacon wrapped meatballs. Staff was courteous and dealt with us not knowing the menu. Will definitely be back. We love this place! I havent had a bad meal yet! Not just a one sauce joint! It seems like I always have a special request (extra meat, etc.) and Maggie handles it with a smile! They participate in the Five stars reward program so sign up and earn your way to free food!
We really enjoyed the sandwich and the fried pickles. The sandwich was so large we each have 1/2 sandwich left for lunch tomorrow.

Lives up to the name! Had the feel of a Local BBQ joint but the taste is world class. Sunday afternoons during game time is great time to visit and watch a game or call for catering.
