This place is phenomenal. Think Mukka but more delicious and more competitively priced. I have tried a bunch of dishes here and have yet to come across one that is wonderful.

The ambience is good but they need to work on their services and food. Too much food colour added in the food, my fingers were all orange when I hand feed my two kids and ate myself, even after I washed my hands the colour didnt go completely.Also some regular training needs to be given to staff, we went to a party, my kids were served fries, I asked twice if it is vegetarian after seeing the chicken nuggets in the fries, the staff confirmed it is vegetarian. Luckily she came back after checking and said it is not vegetarian fries.Come on your staff dont know what they are serving ..And also a little smile from the staff members serving the dishes will be much appreciated..

We ordered a delivery tonight and it was wonderful. We had samosa, chicken tikka, beef vindaloo, rice with peas, garlic naan, and accompaniments. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. Thank you so much.

After making my order online for pickup I hear nothing back from the restaurant about when the food will be ready. I then proceed to call 5 times before the phone is rudely answered. My food is ready apparently so I go to pick up after almost an hour of no contact. The staff member was rude when I asked why I wasn’t contacted and then when I get home I find my order is wrong and cold. They gave me a curry instead of the entree I ordered! Food is ok but definitely not worth the hassle. Takeaway is supposed to be a stress free treat!

First time at Maharaja Palace for a friend/colleagues wedding celebration. I was pleasantly surprised by the venue, the service and the food. The food was exceptionally good. We had three courses and the food was tasty, fresh and wholesome.I can certainly recommend Maharaja’s.

Maharaja restaurant have been leaving their overflowing bins on Elm Street in Northcote for a number of years. Dirty rubbish and litter spill onto Elm Street consistently because of this business. This is of concern and is a health hazard for residents and particularly pedestrians that can slip and fall because their bins are left out on the street a week in advance prior to bin collection. If they are as dirty as they are leaving rubbish on a residential street we can just imagine how dirty they would be in the restaurant and function centre.

Attended for a wedding. At first look I wasnt that impressed. Entry is just a shop front on High Street. Staircase up to the first floor not so impressive either, but once up there a beautiful federation style reception venue that was inviting and warm. The staff are brilliant, efficient and extremely accommodating. Food is plentiful and delicious. Alcohol plentiful. This is a hidden gem and well worth a look. Only draw back is the parking, hence only 4 out of 5 stars.

Great Indian restaurant that I have now been coming back again and again for many years. Reliably good food with the butter chicken being an absolute fave of my crew but everything on their menu is well balanced and tastes fresh. Def worth a visit or take away!

I went there for a private function, the staff were very professional an did a great job at looking after the guests. The food was good as well. The only downside was the stairs, not the best experience walking up an down them with either my toddler or baby -in high heels. All in all, a good experience.

The place was amazing, people were awesome. I would highly recommend this place for any events to be organised. The on trays were fab followed by main-course and dessert. The people who were taking care were Sahil, Mandeep, Ashu, rajwinder & Sukhdeep were great. Keep up the good work and keep growing :)

I didn’t know it’s a bengali place, the raita was sweet

Firstly, as I said to the Maharaja Palace in a private message on Facebook, I was very impressed by the fast delivery and one of the dishes (vegetarian) and the sides were very tasty.However I was left very unimpressed by two chicken dishes! The meat was very tough and even sinewy in places. Honestly some of the worst chicken Ive had, especially from a takeaway! I managed to find four pieces in all that were edible, the rest was just left and the most I had of the curry was pouring the sauce onto the sides instead. Total waste of money really.To make matters worse I got in touch through Facebook to raise the issue before leaving this review here and have simply been ignored. I thought it was only fair to try and resolve this in private first and made it clear I was happy with the rest of the meal and fast delivery rather than simply attack them, so Im not sure why Im being given the cold shoulder.Im not looking for a refund or a free feed. I got in touch 5 days after the meal as I left town for a few days the morning after ordering it, thats on me. It just would have been nice of the Maharaja Palace to acknowledge my message or apologise...I will be looking elsewhere in future, which Im genuinely quite sad about as Id read excellent reviews of the place and was really looking forward to the food.
