Wonderful and inclusive place to dance. I used to dance as as a child and have missed it and wanted to get back into it without the pressure of judgement and competitions. I love that there are adults only and that classes start form basics to advance. Its great finding a studio that is open later at night too, for those wanting fun and fitness after work hours. So happy I have started here. The calories I burn is more than I did at the gym and it is fun! Teachers are extremely talented and ensure that everyone feels comfortable and confident. You wont regret giving it a go!! 😊

Absolutely my favourite place to be. Ive been coming to The Dance Workshop for almost 10 years and love every part of it. Everyone, from the teachers, reception staff and the other students, create such a caring and fun atmosphere. The teachers are wonderful and have so much knowledge to share about everything from technique to musicality (and more!), and the dancers that attend the studio are always so friendly and I feel I learn so much from watching everyone from the very newest dancers to professionals who have been at it for years.I live SOR and drive an hour each way to get to the studio, but I still attend classes nearly every day of the week (sometimes making the trip twice in one day to get to morning and evening classes!) because there is nowhere else in Perth that I would rather dance.

Amazing adult only dance school that caters for so many styles and abilities. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Teachers are fantastic and help you achieve your best, no matter your previous dance experience or skill level.

I’ve been attending classes at the Dance Workshop for almost two decades. Having danced my whole life, it is such a blessing to be able to continue to do so at Perth’s only exclusively adult dance school. The Dance Workshop enthusiastically welcomes people from all walks of life and all levels of dance experience (from absolute beginner to professional). It is such a warm, caring, supportive and nurturing environment - a bit like a big extended family, really. The teaching faculty is second to none, comprised of industry professionals who have worked and performed all over the world. Attending class is always one of the highlights of my week - I would encourage anybody who is thinking about trying out The Dance Workshop to just take the plunge and do it. You won’t regret it and your life will be so much richer for it (not to mention the health and fitness benefits!).

There is no place like this. Incredibly friendly and informative, not to mention excitable staff. Their enthusiasm is infectious. Their teaching pedagogy across all the teachers is clearly rooted in constant growth and development. Its such a relaxed noncompetitive environment. Im here about 4 or 5 times a week! Keep doing what youre doing DW youre one of a kind.

I absolutely love taking classes at the dance workshop! They are kind and professional, and create a really supportive environment for dancers at all levels. They also help me prepare for auditions, and recover from illness or injury and are incredibly understanding (which I am so grateful for). Definitely recommend this school, whether you are a beginner or more advanced!

Going to classes at Dance Workshop has been the highlight of my week for the last few years. Stepping back in to dance after over 20 years hiatus was made much easier with the wonderful, caring and professional guidance of the teachers. A very welcoming studio for dancers of all abilities.

Welcoming and inclusive environment - classes for all abilities regardless of dance experience, easy phone call to ensure you’ve booked into the correct class based on one’s experience and I always receive reception with a smile - teachers are friendly and inclusive within class. Chido, Lisa, and Ram are fantastic dance teachers. They are super welcoming and understanding with beginner learners, with really fun choreography. Im very happy with the service of everyone Ive dealt with here and have just this year become a new regular.

Oh boy, this Studio. They Constantly pump out music very very loudly you can hear across the road and up to 300 metres away maybe further. I couldnt care less about the Classes or anything else. They do not need to put the volume all the way up ver unprofessional need to complain the shire and get this closed down. They have absolutely zero regard for anybody living or working nearby if they did they would lower the volume. To the staff and owners of this Place called Passion. Lower the volume until you cant hear it outside of the building. its really irritating!

Wonderful teachers, great facilities, and a welcoming, inclusive, friendly atmosphere for any adult who would like to dance. Classes in just about every dance style you can think of, and they cater for absolute beginners, advanced levels, and everything in between.

I would give them 0 star but have to give 1 start very unprofessional this dance class should be shut down and not allowed to be in our residence where old people love so much disturbance we moved in 2 months ago and me and my sister have been in trouble with this noise have complained the shire today should get them closed or fined. It’s been a pain for old people in the neighbourhood.

Great workshop with ample space and great acoustics, easy to find location. We had lots of fun learning some moves for our upcoming wedding with Gianni there as our instructor. Highly recommend!

Went to enquire about the dance class schedule, firstly looks like a 50 year old building with all the interior that stinks and looks shabby, the entrance looks unhygienic and not safe at all, guys please be safe while entering this unhygienic dance class and seems they know no dance at all. Would have given 0star.

Great intro to dancing with the basics classes. Felt comfortable and welcomed. Clara was a great instructor for my jazz class. Could do with a clean and some maintenance though. Floors and ceiling fans particularly grotty.

This the best place in Perth to learn dance as an adult. All levels are catered for and you have room to progress upwards in all genres. This is the best place to be if you want to learn to dance in a safe and supportive environment!

Im very new to dancing but I couldnt feel more comfortable at The Dance Workshop. In every class Im learning something new and its the absolute highlight of my week! I cant recommend it enough!

My favourite place to be. The instructors are gorgeous and as a plus size women they make you feel absolutely comfortable.

My sister and I did tap as kids. We wanted to start tap dancing again for fun. They arranged private lessons for us as we both work , lessons can be scheduled at our convenience. Our teacher Justin is 10/10 fantastic, I would recommend tap at the dance workshop to everyone!

The Dance Workshop has become like a second home to me. The teachers are very talented & take care of their students. I started out here just doing tap & then found some other interesting dance styles I never thought of trying. I now take part in Tap, Bolloywood/Kollywood, Street Jazz & Sexy Stellitos. This studio truly has something for everyone & fantastic teachers to learn from.

The Dance Workshop is the only studio in Perth that caters towards adults 18+. They are a strong supporter and collection site for the charity Share The Dignity, and regularly run quiz nights to raise funds and products.They have BASICS courses in Jazz, Tap and Ballet, which are highly recommended; as well as classes ranging from beginner to pre/professional.Class styles include Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Dancehall, African, Flamenco, Heels, Street Jazz, Lyrical, Urban Contemporary, Broadway Jazz, Commercial Jazz, Bollywood, Stretch and Flex, Ballet Barre Workout and Ballet Body Conditioning.Students can take most classes casually, with options to pay for a whole term, 6 class pass, 10 class pass, 1 week unlimited, and 6 week unlimited. Currently they have an online introductory offer to new students for 3 weeks unlimited fir $35.Students range from absolute beginners to professional between jobs, and ages start at 18 and go all the way to 80, with a Jazz class specifically for over 50s.The teachers are highly reputable and come from various backgrounds, including WA Ballet, The Royal Ballet, US National Tours of Chicago, Radio City Rockettes, European and Australian tours of Cats and WAAPA dance staff.The Dance Workshop regularly each year runs a performance opportunity for students during October, as well as various industry workshops.
