Really great Indian food, great service the owner is a true awesome host. The restaurant is small and off the beaten track but beware it is popular .It has great vegetarian options and the tasting menu is so good but there is a lot of it!! For the people that love spicy spicy food some of the dishes might be mild. But then again I havent tried all of the menu. But you can ask! This restaurant has potential to be bigger I would just say that the only thing that is missing is a good open air terrace! For the rest it is wonderful Also bookable on the fork app.

We booked a table for two. A very warm and friendly welcome from the owner. A very comfortable and safe environment. The owner wore a mask well fitted. He was jolly and extremely helpful. We shared a pakora, very different from UK style but very tasty. My partner ordered the prawns in a spiced lobster bisque sauce I went for the lamb with spinach and spices. Two chapatti also. The prawns were exceptional and my lamb delicious too. Big portions. Not exactly cheap but I think excellent value for money. I would highly recommend this restaurant. If I could give this restaurant 6 stars I would.As an Indian women who cooks Indian food regularly at home, I can confidently say this restaurant is the best and most authentic Indian restaurant in Nice and very likely the best in the 06 too! (Ive lived in the South of France for 7 years and have tried desperately to find a great Indian restaurant).Everything was perfectly cooked, flavourful and most importantly it was all fresh and homemade.The welcome and the service is excellent and you can really see the Chef is truly passionate about the dining experience of his guests and the quality of the local ingredients he is using.We will certainly eat here again soon!

Go here. Fast. Sure you might think, I didnt come to Nice to eat Indian food, but this is Indian food with French standards. There are small twists to the dishes, making them borderline fusion. The desserts are to die for. The owner is a lovely man who even told us we had over ordered. I cut out one dish as per his suggestion and left bursting. Definitely one of the best Indian restaurant we have been to. The whole menu was good beautifully balanced spices and flavours for a pleasant evening fresh meals. Delicious, tasty and authentic curries. Service was impeccable, with friendly courteous staff looking well after us. Certainly one of the best restaurant that we had around and chef was so kind to make even some tailored made dishes for Kids. Would highly recommend as it’s scarce to find food tasting like the real Indian food in EU & of course a big shout for any Indian food lovers around the Nice - it would be worth a trip.

The uniqueness in this restaurant is compete menu change every couple of weeks, which gives us an opportunity to try new authentic dishes every visit. This is my favourite place in Nice, including all types of cuisine. The host is very attentive and even remembered us after just being there once.The choice of food is limited (4 main items), but I like that since it ensures that those 4 are very well crafted. Id say the food has had a bit of french influence (Onion pakoda with Rucola), but what I had in India paled in comparison to the variety of taste and well crafted compositions which are offered here.

This was our best meal in Nice.We were initially surprised by the high cost of the drinks (vodka and soda €12).Everything else was superb. We enjoyed the complimentary dahl and lemon rice.The waiter provided excellent service.

Small, cozy place with top quality service and food.As vegetarians we already knew it was friendly to us but the chef went the extra length to provide us with different touches of the same meal so me and my partner could share and enjoy extra flavours. Its really pleasant to see vegetarian meals made with such flavour, diversity and love. I must say I have never tried a candy digestive like that before! (And Im not even a fan of licorice). Not much else to say here except for Bravo!I also have to mention that you will leave this place belly full, guaranteed. We have never before come across an Indian restaurant which does not have dozens of dishes, most of then microwaved; Cumin et Cannelle only has three or four main dishes, like all first class restaurants, and all cooked to order - we could have chosen every one. The food was excellent, and the service was both personal and charming. There are only a few tables, so you really must book, as the restaurant has only been open a short time, and is becoming increasingly popular. You may feel that when in Nice, eat as the Nicois do. But if you like Indian food, a visit to Cumin et Cannelle is a must.

We ordered the degustation and had a wonderful meal starting with the light, crunchy pakora. The lamb was tender and the shrimp cooked to perfection. The recommended wine was a perfect pairing. Lovely personal as well.

Very nice meal. This Indian restaurant is a must if you are in Nice. I had a mixed menu with different types of meat and vegetarian dishes such as: Chicken Tikka, Dal curry, lamb curry, aubergine, three types of rice and Chapati. Everything was deliciously flavored and, in my opinion, also authentic. The waiter/cook was very enthusiastic and explained each dish in detail. This restaurant is clearly run with a lot of passion. Only downside was the air conditioning that hung above our table, which cooled the food quite quickly. But thats about it. Definitely recommended if youre in the area

It was the first Indian dish Ive ever eaten in my life. This is more delicious than expected! The rice also had three flavors, but the lemon is real! Its best, and there are quite a few desserts, and I couldnt eat it all because I had already eaten a lot, but my husband said it was delicious and ate it all.

We came to eat last night August 8 in this Indian restaurant and we were not disappointed! It is rare to be able to taste Indian cuisine of this quality, nicois friends you are lucky, we would love to have the same in Paris but it does not exist! Cake as a delicious dessert! An incredible experience, a sensational lunch.This is the first time that we have experienced an Indian gourmet restaurant: each dish is a demonstration of mastery of cooking, spices and flavors. Not to spoil anything, the chef welcomed us with warmth and kindness. The menu is limited and changes every two weeks, a guarantee of freshness. The dining room is small and intimate in a street a little isolated from the center. Much care has been taken in the decoration: everything is clean and impeccable, in good taste. You cant help but feel all the care, motivation and investment that has gone into every element of this restaurant.It is without doubt a nugget in Nice! Our compliments.
