I absolutely love this restaurant. Everything about it is great. The food, the service, the nice waiters, etc. There is always amazing sushi for good prices. And the egg rolls are really good too.

Purchased the Sweet and sour spare ribs. Not recommended. The ribs where over done and very dry. Sweet and sour sauce came in a small plastic cup maybe enough for 3 ribs.Other food that was purchased was really good except for the ribs.

I have been eating here for 2 years now. This place is absolutely amazing. Seriously I don’t normally leave reviews for good service often if ever. They are quick, they have amazing food (my favorite being the Roti Canai), they’re consistent and their prices are perfect. This is not your average Chinese food place either, it’s like they have master chef in the back. Today is the third time they gave me something extra with my order being a spring roll with sweet chili sauce and I wanted to make sure I finally returned the favor. Highly recommend, 11/10 bring your family and tell all your friends.

We used to love Pinang. Food was fresh and flavorful. I’m not sure whether they got a new chef or just had multiple bad nights but the last two times have been terrible. It is the most boring bland food you ever tasted. It’s as if they forgot the sauce in all their noodle dishes. Roti canai is the only good thing left on the menu and not enough to keep us coming back again. Sushi was ok but tasted fishy. All in all this has changed into a disappointment and not worth the money anymore.

An excellent choice if youre looking for a different cuisine than the normal Italian/American. The food was delicious and prices were very reasonable.

Their Thai General’s chicken is probably the single greatest Asian cuisine involving chicken I’ve ever tasted. The sauce is 100% unique, chicken twice the size of any other Asian restaurant, and it’s so tender. Not like the double deep fried jerky quality chicken you’d find at every other restaurant. My only complaint is I wish there was more so I can have it again the next day. Sides and rice dishes are excellent, and what hooked me fully was the desserts. Green tea ice cream was a brilliant addition to the menu. Keep up the great work! Excited to start exploring the menu more and seeing what else they’ve outdone everyone else in.

Favorite sushi place EVER. Lately I can’t go like 2 weeks without getting my 2 favorite rolls (lemon and ichiban). The staff is very kind. I went there for my 19th, 20th, and 22nd birthdays. So delicious. Pic is from my 22nd from August 2017. Amazing price, I think $55 for all that!

I had wonton soup, fried dumplings, and sushi rainbow roll. Wife had a rice dish with chicken. (Cant remember exact name). Everything we ate was delicious! Restaurant was very clean and staff very attentive. I asked to substitute salmon on my roll for anything but, and was happily accommodated. At the end of our meal, we declined dessert but we were given a sliced orange with our (very reasonable) bill. It was juicy and flavorful, especially for January!!! We are looking forward to returning and trying more if their extensive menu.

We were delighted to find this place - ordered a bunch of stuff of the menu (all Malaysian foods). Really enjoyed the Roti Canai, Kangkung Belecan and Crispy Squid. My wife is from Indonesia, and I have traveled extensively in that part of the world, and this food has the authentic flavor of that region. Portion sizes were generous, and the menu extensive.

Man oh man is the food delicious here! Its a small little hidden treasure in the town of Newark. How have I never been to this place before, but I want to thank my friends - friend for having all of us gather together at this place! Walking in I was amazed by how well it was decorated, it had that little Asian feel to it!- Service was amazing! We were seated right away.- The server greeted us, she was very welcoming and comforting.- Ordered some appetizers and drinks, they were out in no time! With how fast they came out they tasted fresh and full of flavor! It was also our first time trying warm Saki. Never had it before and I was blown away by how good it was! One tip I got for Saki is: have someone else pour it for you, its good luck! Never pour your own.I highly recommend this place to everyone! There are so many options for you to choose from. Will be going back for a date with my girlfriend.

Delicious food, prompt service. I was on a business trip and on of my coworkers recommended this place. I had the crispy fried bean curd and a dancing cloud roll. Both were delicious, fresh, and will plated.

The food and staff here are amazing. Me and my husband go here a lot and have always been extremely satisfied. Their deserts are amazing and they are very kind. For those who do not know, they have a sign stating that menu item prices are subjected to change without warning, but it’s nothing too crazy and their proportions are always well worth the money.

Favorite restaurant in Newark

The presentation of food is great and I love the variety of dishes on the menu. The staff are proficient and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Our dining group has been coming here for years. Recently remodeled, the dining atmosphere is accented with crystal lighting.

Great service, amazing food, just what I needed. Just finished a ride at White Clay / Middle Run, and my body was screaming out for fuel, but not just any fuel, I wanted something with actual flavor, and Pinang absolutely delivered! Will definitely be back on my next trip up.

The entire staff is so welcoming! Food is delicious - we had the nasi lemak (beautifully spicy) and chicken ginger scallion rice. I had mango sticky rice for dessert. Definitely will be going back to try more dishes.

I like to go to Pinang with my family. Im a big fan of the pad thai! The staff are friendly and the atmosphere clean and relaxing.

There are only a few Malaysian restaurant in the town and this one is probably the best one. Their lunch combos are cost effective. While they are cheaper, the quality and taste is never compromised. I visited the restaurant after 3 years, and my favorite dishes tasted the same. Loved the place, and would recommend everyone.

Amazing food, friendly staff, and great atmosphere. I have eaten about a dozen different entrees and have always been satisfied. Our family eats here often, and we have been coming since they opened nearly 10 years ago. We bring out of town guests and strongly recommend to friends.

This place had amazing food and for really decent prices. The only issue I had was that the service was a little scrambled. They came by to fill water every once in a while but other than that, it was a little difficult to get their attention for anything. We were one of three small groups in the place at the time. It might have been an off day.

Great place to eat sushi and far east food

Pinang has been a favorite of ours for over 6 years. The food is reliably delicious and the service is excellent. There are a ton of vegetarian options, and they are fine with replacing meat for tofu and veggies when possible.

EDIT:: Removing several stars. Weve been eating here for years and the management just unfortunately changed hands. The sushi is still ok but their Pad Thai is nowhere near as good (I wont make the mistake of ordering it anymore) and the sauce for their dumplings is not good at all compared to the sauce the old chef used. Sad it changed, its so convenient to where we live, but afraid well be looking for a new favorite. Also shady, their new menu that says under new management also lists on the front an award for favorite restaurant by Newark Post from 2017. How about waiting until YOU earn an award (if you do) before slapping it on your menu.

Food is solid but the service was bad, you can not split a check and have a Max of 3 credit cards on a bill. As long as your party is small you should be fine.

Although they will charge you (2) separate prices for (2) different sushi rolls- they have the nerve to stuff all rolls into one container to cut costs if you ask me. Ive never had to spell out the fact that I need (2) separate containers for (2) separate rolls! They didnt have to spell out or specify there was a separate cost for both rolls. Its bad enough the sushi roll is $10 for just (6) pieces... But then to see the other ridiculous ways this establishment cut costs- Ill take my business elsewhere!

Do not buy if you enjoy getting ripped off. False advertising!!! For example, the rodeo roll states that both salmon and white tuna are on top of the roll. What they didnt tell you is that half the roll has the thinnest piece of salmon while the other half has the thinnest piece of white tuna. Worth $12 dollars? I think not. I also ordered the sexy scallop off the sushi appetizer as well... the thinnest cut of scallop I have ever seen on the tiniest roll as well. There was only rice wrapped inside the roll, and there was more caviar on that roll bigger than both the scallop and tuna.I went back inside to explain my disappointment and contrary to their lying response to my post, they didnt care nor did they exchange my order. Do not order from this place! Rip offs.

The food is great, the atmosphere is uspcale, and the prices are reasonable. Its a little off the beaten path and parking is limited but its worth it.I cannot speak to the authenticity since I know nothing about Malaysian cuisine but I do know its tasty

This place was not good. The sushi was poorly wrapped and the spicy sauce was gross. I didn’t even want to take my leftovers home but I barely ate anything. I did lIke the flavor of the wonton soup but it was too big to eat that and a roll.
