One of the best bookstore experiences, with a warm ambience and welcoming proprietor. Even as some books may make you feel a but displaced, the books and the themes are very well curated, thought of and inspiring. The route to the bookstore may be a filthy one, and walking is not the best option, but a rickshaw from the ahadipur metro station asking for biyaasi number would do good. They even have second hand books at surprisingly low prices and excellent condition.

Got to know about this amazing book store on Twitter. Few books which I couldnt find anywhere on the popular E-Commerce websites were available here. Thank you guys at LeftWorld Books for making the books available for me who is sitting far in a small town named Jalpaiguri in West Bengal. Got my books delivered on time and also thankyou for the constant online support with my 1st online purchase from your store. Will be a regular customer of this book store now and I am quite excited to visit the store in Delhi whenever I come to Delhi.

A nice, small bookstore. Though I did not find a lot of meaningful books (that obviously is a subjective thing as), it was a well set up store with a small, cozy cafe that serves food as well. Went there as part of a Book sale event, it had a room full of cartons of books to be displayed the next day. Worth checking out.

Has an eclectic collection of books catering to people interested in centre of left ideas. they also have a section dedicated for used books which are available at huge mark downs from the market rates/amazon rates. would strongly suggest every book lover to visit the place atleast once irrespective of their political leanings.

Great collection of books, my friends and I were at the bookstore for at least 3 hours looking at their unconventional books. No one tells you to hurry up and its a very peaceful place. You can even find books at very cheap rates (rupees 25 - rupees 50). But youd have to look really hard to find good books at this range. As the name of this bookstore suggest, most of the books present in the store have a left-ward tilt, politically and socially. They have a little cafe area which apparently serves amazing samosas in addition to coffee, but it was closed when I visited. But do give this bookstore a try, it wouldnt be like any you have ever visited.

May Day is a great littke book store! They show plays and have old books for 25-100 bucks. Must visit this store on May Day (1st may). On may day, several professors from the different colleges of Delhi come and run the café and bookstore and theres a huge sale! Its a little obscure and difficult to find but once you reach shadipur metro station, it becomes easier.

Apart from being Left Word Book Store, this place has Jana Natya Manch, a street theatre groups office and also there is space for theatre groups to perform. Lectures of eminent personalities as well as activist working amongst the people are speakers in various lecture series. Truly a lively space !

One of the most unique places in Delhi. Accompanied by Studio Safdar which hosts Plays and performances and also works as a sunday reading school for kids.In the second hand section of the bookstpre one can find the cheapest books...Cheaper than Daryaganj. Leftwords own published books and other new books ranging from Fiction, Biography, Politics, History, Sociology etc take up most of the spaceThey also sell posters and other similar materials with leftist insignia.
