The non-veg dishes lacked taste and texture... the prawn dry was average , fish fry was too dry and the mutton dry was just a shade better than the rest maybe I went in with higher expectations... shall try the veg dishes another time

Andhra food has been blazing a spicy trail in the capital off-late with new establishments offering stiff competition to the ubiquitous Andhra Bhavan. Tenali, named after a small town near Guntur and Vijaywada, might well be the hottest contender. Appointed in shades of yellow and granite, Tenali’s decor will remind my generation of Shankar Nag’s Malgudi Days show. The dining room is bright and purposeful with steel tumblers of Ghee, Velluli Karam Podi and Curryleaf Podi on the table to prepare you for what comes next. Tenali’s menu, a one-pager daily chart of sorts, is broadly divided into Thalis and à la carte with overlapping dishes. Daily specials are chalked out on the board next to the kitchen counter and my eyes lit up as I spotted Crab Iguru. In a hunt for true and authentic South Indian food I am Very much excited to introduce you to the Tenali Andhra restaurant. I was literally craving for a nice biriyani from South so I landed up here and ordered for a chicken biriyani and mutton biriyani with a Filter coffee. The cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant is upscale with a very supporting Service staff. Staffs have a smile on there face. Emapthatic and well oriented,Nicely groomed. I suppose they had a proper training. The food was super awesome with proper indulgence of Southern spices nor too much nor too less thou portion was little extra for me but I managed to pack it for dinner. Filter coffee served was in authentic southern style with a glass and a cup like in South. At the end the server also served us the bida the pan.The only concern for me was server didnt told me that bida will be chargeable. I took and had it later the charged me for that. (Not concerned about charging as it totally understandable that In North its not easy to get the ingredient easily as in South). I suggest you to visit the restaurant as they will be offering Veg/N Veg thali apart from other dishes along with mouthwatering seafood dishes.

Loved the food here. Its authentic Andhra food which means spicy 😋 we had a Veg Thali, Mutton Biryani and Dosa thali. The potato filling in the Dosa was just amazing. Our first meal of 2020 and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend if one is fond of spicy food.

Consisting of both veg and non veg with a fantastic spicy chicken curry, I really love south flavors especially in non veg.The Tenali Kitchen has really done wonders getting spices directly from Andhra which a Andhra chef uses to prepare all the dishes giving a simply spices filled adventure! Brand New place for Food lovers who wants to indulge in southern authentic flavours. Went for lunch. Place was buzzing almost full. They have mainly thali Concept some starters are in a la carte options. Ordered one Veg one Non. Veg thali & Chicken Biryani. To start with Biryani great authentic Hyderabadi flavours, Chicken was cooked to perfection with aromatic rice , mirchi ka saalan was perfect to pair with. Non veg thali was full of various flavours. Loved mutton curry & chicken. Rasam was very light and tasty. Veg. Thali was also good in taste. Hot poorees were really complementing all the curry items. In dessert halwa was nicely cooked with not very sweet punch in to it. This place is buzzing around now for their quality of food & service. It was great to see Owner herself going to tables and taking feedbacks. Good luck to Team Tenali.

Great food great service. The staff is quite attentive and even the owners are involved so that it ensures that there are very few misses in service. The food wuality is great and the focal attention is on the thaalis. The thaalis have a good variety of dishes in it and does justice to the price too.

The fried fish was not what I expected, its better to ask in detail before you order as its not cheap, if you value your money. Overall, a good place. The treat their customers well.

Pricey Spicy Andhra Food in Green ParkThis is how I would like to label the restaurant - Tenali - a place for Pricey Spicy Andhra Food in Green Park.We visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed.I can vouch for the spiciness from the first visit today. Happened to see the new outlet as we were away for the last 3 weeks. (We visit Green Park every week)The restaurant is located on the second floor. The lift is Schindler with a see through door and you tend to think that this may be a bit expensive. Lift is small so the see-through door is a plus as it removes claustrophobic feelings.The place is extremely new and cheerfully & smartly designed. The ambience is really great. A 5/5 on this. But on space and roominess it is a slightly tight fit.The staff were in smart uniform.We were four (3 adults + 1 child - 3 females and 1 male) and ordered chicken biryani as it would be quickly brought to the table. And we must say we were not disappointed with this. Speedy delivery despite the rush.Chicken biryani was with gravy and raita but no papad. For INR 400 per plate😲 I would expect it with all bells and whistles - papad is a must (if not two).😒The portion was quite good. Could be split between two. It was quite spicy.Tasty but spicy. But then Andhra food is supposed to be spicy isnt it? 😁We may visit it again for the meals but it is a thali (didnt check if it would be unlimited like Andhra Bhavan, but highly unlikely I think).Some other reasons for the medium rating - it didnt have a finger bowl. One would bump into the other tables and customers waiting in the visitors area.Also no air curtains, so flies in the restaurant. 😟🤐

Outstanding. By far my best South Indian meals in Delhi so far. We tried the mutton biryani as will as the nonveg thalli. Both nice and spicy as one would expect from a good Andhra joint.The meals remind me the famous RR in Bangalore (aka Roaring Rectum) back in the 80s.The chicken mint curry served with the thalli is exquisite. The sambhar is good. The rasam a little too sweet for me. The lemon rice wonderful.Looking forward to trying the veg thalli next.

I paid a visit to it yesterday. Regular place with good Andhra food- we had chilli idli and veg thali. Veg thali had number of items. Didnt find many people in the restaurant but still enough and they have hardcopy menu only (not Qr scan option menu). Loved their tomato chutney and halwa, ample amount of food you can have in the thali..Less staff but good service.

If you really like spicy food you must visit here and try chicken gari. Shrimp is really good here.

It is a good place to enjoy Andhra food. Andhra food has a rich coastal menu. It has sourness and spiciness which is different from rest of India. Even dosas are soft. Daal uses imily as souring agent. It predominantly a non vegetarian fare. Andhra food suffered from Telangana as latter has lot of Maharashtrian and Iranian influence. Andhra on the other hand has strong coastal influence. Andhra is truly a global cuisine. It will be wrong to say that it is a local cuisine

Too too spicy for me. Food is exactly as depicted in the photographs but the chillies need to be brought down to suit local taste buds. Keep a glass of really cold water handy. Generous menu, pocket friendly but service is slow. Seats about 50, bright sunny place,well ventilated. The guava ice cream is best avoided as it has not a hint of guava in it.

It has a small entry since it is on 2nd floor but its very close to Evergreen so look carefully if wanting to visit. Our first time here and we ordered chicken dosa and non-veg thali. It was a delicious surprise as the flavours of each dish was distinct and tasty. The staff was polite and quick. 2 people can eat well within 1k n the servings are sufficient.

One of Delhis best eateries that serves Andhra food. Their thali is one of a kind (both veg and non veg). It comes loaded with a wide variety of side dishes each of which is exquisite. Thali comes with freshly fried soft n puffy puris. You may even hav a whole meal with just their chutneys and pickles. Another unique delicacy is their spicy guava ice cream.All other south indian dishes like dosas and uthappams are only as good as what you find in a standard south indian restaurant like A2B.You may also buy packed pickles and chutney powders there.Everything at this restaurant is well maintained, the tables, cutlery, washrooms and interiors. The staff is very courteous.On the down side 1. the prices are slightly on the expensive side. 2. They also levy service charges. I feel that any restaurant charging for their service is unethical. It is just one of the expenses in running the restaurant.

If you love eating authentic Andhras spicy food - must visit Tenali RestaurantAny dish ordered will have its own authentic Andhra style gravy. Many restaurants have observed very similar gravy for Mutton, Chicken & even fish dishes however at Tenali (@ Green Park Mkt) its authentic spices from southern India that are used for each prepared /served dish.One food is slightly spicy however all those who eat less spices can add Ghee and enjoy the food. They even serve spicy ice stawberry cream which is different and one needs to develop taste for it otherwise the service @ Tenali is excellent and is reasonably priced.

Ordered veg thali and sambar rice. The thali tasted fine. Sambar rice was a bit on the spicier (hot) side. It needs ghee but it seems the restaurant has only 1 molten ghee pot....so they couldnt leave it on our table.that was a dampener bcoz it affected the taste of the dish. The Puris for the thali came quite late when they should be first. Service is decent. Small place... reasonably priced...food tastes fine
