I visited during Navratras, just 2 days before Dussehra. Whole Maidan was decorated festively. Many bollywood celebs and politicos were attendees to the event. I spotted Ayush Sharma (Salman Khans brother in law and Rajat Sharma, News Anchor). There were all famous food stalls like Lotan ke Chhole Bhature and Daulat ki Chaat amongst many more. Best attraction with regards to food was Kulfis. There were more than 100 kulfi flavors. Best being the Roll Kulfi. Overall price is expensive at the place considering each dish costs close to ₹300-350. Overall a great experience and worth visiting if you have the pass.
Red Fort is a historic fort in the city of Delhi in India. It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal dynasty for nearly 200 years, until 1856.[1] It is located in the centre of Delhi and houses a number of museums. In addition to accommodating the emperors and their households, it was the ceremonial and political center of the Mughal state and the setting for events critically impacting the region.[2]Red FortA view of the Red Forts Lahori GateLocationOld Delhi, IndiaCoordinates28.656°N 77.241°EHeight18–33 metresBuilt12 May 1639 – 6 April 1648(8 years, 10 months and 25 days)ArchitectUstad Ahmad LahoriArchitectural style(s)Indo-Islamic, MughalOwnerMughal Empire(1639–1857)British Empire(1857–1947)UNESCO World Heritage SiteOfficial name: Red Fort ComplexTypeCulturalCriteriaii, iii, viDesignated2007 (31st session)Reference no.231revState PartyIndiaRegionAsia-PacificLocation in Delhi, India, AsiaEvery year on the Independence day of India (15 August), the Prime Minister hoists the Indian tricolour flag at the main gate of the fort and delivers a nationally broadcast speech from its ramparts here.
