Veer Bhoomi is located near Raj Ghat New Delhi India. Veer Bhumi dedicated to former Prime Minister of India Shri Rajeev Gandhi. Veer Bhumi is very beautiful and attractive peaceful clean area.

The Vir Bhumi is a memorial dedicated to the former Indian Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi who was assassinated in 1991. The memorial features a sculptural group of lotus flowers, which you wouldn’t know was a memorial except for the wall of honour with a biography of Gandhi. There’s also a second wall with a portrait of Gandhi amongst the general public in bronze relief The memorial is situated close to many other Samadhis inside the memorial park including that of Mahatma Gandhi, and the mother of Rajiv, Indira.The memorial is somewhat innocuous looking, but for its proximity to that of the 2 aforementioned memorials. I wouldn’t go out of the way to see this unless you’re already visiting Raj Ghat.

Very peaceful place. This is the memorial of Rajiv Gandhi. You can also visit other memorials here like Raj ghat for Mahatma Gandhi, Santhivan for Jawaharlal Nehru, Sakthisthal for Indira Gandhi etc. Well maintained area. Normal time to visit is around 2 hours to complete all memorials.

To commemorate Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi son of Indira Gandhi, Vir Bhoomi is in the north of Raj Ghat. The design of the memorial consists of two squares in angular relationship signifying the day of birth and day of assassination. The centre of the square is a stone platform with lotus flowers carved in granite stone

Veer Bhumi pays homage to the youngest PM of India, Rajiv Gandhi.The memorial has a large lotus in full bloom delicately carved out of stone surrounded by 46 small lotuses to signify the years he livedRajiv Gandhi joined politics in 1980, after the death of his brother, Sanjay Gandhi.He became the PM in 1984 after the assassination of his mother Indira Gandhi.In 1991 he was assassinated by the LTTE militants at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu.Special prayer sessions are held every 20th of Aug (Birthday) & 21st May (Death Anniversary) every year
