I cannot say enough good things about touring Delhi with Gyan Yatra. As a single American female, I only felt comfortable traveling in Delhi with guide, even though I’ve toured other parts of India alone. I feel very fortunate I found Himanshu and his company.From the first point of contact, they were very responsive and flexible about where I wanted to go and what to see. He was personable and professional. It felt like everything about the tour was customizable and flexible.I felt safe with my guide, who appeared to be very knowledgeable of and sensitive to cultural differences; I’ll give an example. At an extremely crowded temple I wanted to visit, we were packed into a tight line as we waited to get inside. He positioned his body to block others so I had a little breathing room (at his own expense!) There were times I noticed someone headed towards me, who then stopped and turned away when they saw my guide next to me. As a result, I felt like I could relax and actually look around and enjoy my surroundings.Seeing the sights with a local person who is passionate (and super knowledgeable!) about history of the city has changed my perspective on solo travel- I won’t go without it again. I can only hope there are more companies like this out there along my travels.If/when I return to Delhi, I would happily book with Gyan Yatra again, as it exceeded my expectations and definitely elevated the experience. I have great memories of my sightseeing and excellent conversations in Delhi, which are truly priceless. Thanks so much, Himanshu and Gyan Yatra!!!

I have travelled with Gyan Yatra several times now, starting with a memorable trip to Rishikesh, a few Delhi tours, Agra and finally a beautiful road trip across Rajasthan. Gyan Yatra is the ultimate way to travel in India and I will tell you why. First, they are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the country, unlike any government guides Ive come across. You will probably learn more about Indian history and Indian culture than doing a PhD about it because Gyan Yatra are excellent storytellers. Second, they are funny,easy going and generous which is the perfect combination for a great trip. India is a stressful country to travel but with them, its just easy. Gyan Yatra is about burning your senses, experiencing new things and meeting India at its core. Finally, they are unique because they design trips to your needs, nothing less, nothing more. I can only look forward to the next trip !

We stayed in India for a week and Himanshu from Gyan Yatra showed us around Delhi for a full day.The tour was a great experience, visiting some of the hidden gems in Delhi and we had a delicious Indian lunch together. Himanshu is very open, friendly and a great story teller! He is definitely not a typical tourist guide, he takes his time and doesnt rush which is very refreshing. In addition to our tour in Delhi, he also provided with tips on what to visit in Agra and Jaipur.We will definitely visit India again in the future and join another tour with Gyan Yatra!

Excellent guide!We where at Rishikes in an Asram and when we come back from our trip we met with him and we had a very friendly and perfect guide in Delhi at evening.We had just a few hours at Delhi but we have got a real view of the beautifull Delhi. Thank you so much!I could offer him trustingly.

This was my second time going around parts of Delhi with guide Himanshu who accommodated and tailored the tour to my interests and budget. The really great thing about the tour was it felt like I have known him for a long time. His friendly demeanor and interesting stories will captivate you even after a few hours have passed!I am normally a person who does not use too many guided tours throughout my 5+ years of travel. Having said that, I now find myself needing a Himanshu at every corner to paint a picture and provide the backstories of a particular place like he did! Hope to join again soon to continue the adventure!
