The place is huge! One day is most definitely not enough to explore the whole place. All the artefacts and knowledge about ancient civilisations is something worth spending time on.For students it’s great way to experience ancient Indian civilisations. The artefacts are well preserved and presented. The museum also has audio guides, you can rent audio tour guide having headphones which gives brief details about the museum and artefact in front of the viewer.w

This is one of my favorite place and has plethora of things to cherish, understand and feel Indian Art and Culture viz. coinage, paintings, sculpture and many more... The special editions they put is worth watch. This place I would recommend... Reach by 10am and u can roam till 5pm even if outside temperature is 40+°C... In evening go to India Gate, War Memorial strolling... And yeah from there either CP or Rashtrapati bhawan. :)

It includes medieval period, modern history, Harappan culture, Gupta umpire etc. Traditional architects, so type of coins (coin gallery), ancient arms (arms gallery), ancient musical instruments, ships, scripts (Rising of Devnagri), Traditional wears. All about mughals, Delhi sultanate etc etc etc. And the list still goes on. Do check it out this place. It is worth spending time here.

Most of the museum is about the rich indian history. Very important place. Worth visiting. It’s so special because of the holy bone relics of Buddha. We should appreciate the archeological survey of India for protecting the holy relics. But It’s not fare to keep the holy bone relics of the Buddha in a museum. According to the last words of the Buddha in ‘Maha Parinibbana Sutta’, his holy bone relics should enshrine in a Stupa as the people can respect and gain positive potential (merits). But in this Museum they have place the holy relics in a showcase kind of mandap and show a notice saying that ‘No offerings’. It’s not good to play with the religions as it hurts deep in ones heart.
