Namak mandi is a fine dine place serving delicious awadhi food. The interiors are done very neat & authentic and the staff is very courteous. We started off with thandai and jaljeera , both were very refreshing.We tried their kebab platter and each single item in it is delicious, charsi tikka and mutton Galouti are a must must try for meat eaters and paneer tikka and tandoori jackfruit is awesome. In the main their chicken bemisal, dal makhani and qasr-e-pukhtaan I.e. paneer curry topped with cheese was very delicious. The food is very rich in taste with perfect blend of spices and receipe. We loved each and everything about the food here . Finally for the desserts we had their jaan e azam which is very similar to shashi tukda but served hot, again it was a delicious preparation.Overall it was a very pleasant experience here.

Namak Mandi is situated in Promenade Mall, and has a fair seating space of around 35-40 pax.We were first served Papad with papaya pickle, mint chutney and chilly gudd chutney.Further, we tried their kebab platter which has mutton seekh kebab, mutton galauti and charsi chicken. The taste was on top, best remains Mutton Galauti. A must try !!Further we tried paneer tikka, kathal tikka and subz galauti.In drinks, we tried thandai and shikanji soda , i personally loved shikanji. Very refreshing flavors.In mains, we tried chicken biryani, dal makhani, gosht nihari and kofta.I think their dal makhani and chicken biryani are just beyond expectations.The Manager Mr. Deepak was courteous enough to ask about the food after every course. Staff is as well quite considerate. We enjoyed our dining experience here.

Recently i visit namak mandi restaurant located in vasant kunj. Its really amazing and nice place to have authentic Awadhi food. They have huge seating capacity and courteous staff.I tried snacks including paneer tikka, dahi kebab and galouti kebab.I tried dal Makhni, paneer gravy and veg Biryani .. all just amazing. They have huge variation for vegetarians. Authentic food from the era of undivided India. Restaurant serves authentic Dum Pardah Biryanis. The menu offers authentic slow cooked Lucknowi Nehari. Mandi Ki Dal has a creamy & delicious flavour and is cooked over night. I love orange kulfi and phirni in dessert.. awesome experience i had.

Paneer tikka, soft, delicious, small cubes of paneer tikka, nicely marinated in yogurt and indian spices then cooked in tandoor, you couldnt even use a fork thats how nimble it is. Mutton seekh kebab was tender, flavourful and delish.Coming to the main course, Nihari was just exceptional, the curry was rich in flavor and meat was perfectly cooked. In depth Review-As the name suggests, this is a North Indian and Awadhi Cuisine Restaurant. They have a live kitchen and a contemporary decor which reflects in their utensils as well which is a mix of porcelain and copper dishes. You are usually served with poppadoms as you take a seat but the staff attending may forget to do so at times (Experienced in the second visit).Moving forward to the starters, we tried the Peshawri Paneer Tikka and Bhunne Khulley Tandoori Aalu in vegetarian however the later is not really recommended. In non veg we tried the Murgh Balai Kebabs which were quite good, however in the Non Veg Platter (Worth 1500), the only thing worth splurging on was the Joojeh Seekh and the Galouti Kebabs. Would not recommend the Charsi Tikka or the Lahori Fish Fry.Now coming to the Main Course, we ordered Kofta Dilkhush (recommended), Paneer Raunaqeen, Qasr-e-pukhtan (Recommended), Mandi ki Daal (Recommended) and Karachi Bohri (Biryani) in Vegetarian, and Murgh ki Kadhai (Recommended) and Murgh Rampur Biryani (Recommended) in Non Vegetarian. You may team up the above recommended dishes with Butter or Garlic Naan.Coming to the drinks we would like to recommend the Green Apple Mojito Pitcher as it serves 4 and is totally worth it. Also tried the Strawberry one but wouldnt recommend.You may find this restaurant a bit over priced if you are not a zomato gold/Gourmet Passport user.It gets an overall rating of 3.5/5.Follow Mr. Gluttony for more reviews.

Very bad food and service. Ordered butter chicken and fist tikka. Dont understand how can someone mess up Indian food this bad. Fish was raw and even after providing this feedback, I was told that it is always like this only. There was no effort to pay heed to the feedback or replace the item. Butter chicken gravy was tasteless. Even a basic thing like mint chutney was so spicy that even after adding yogurt to it, it was not edible. Never going there again. Bad taste. worse service.

We have been planning for so long to have dinner here and after dinner can say that its more than moneys worth. In starters we have veg platter and in main course ordered mandi ki dal , kofta dilkush, paneer raunqeen, aaloo kadha masala, breads tandoori naan, kamheeri roti, potato kulcha . juices pineapple and water melon are fresh. Service was excellent and food was lip smacking. Worth a visit.

A little over priced and under delivering. Food was tasty but the portion were limited. The entrees and main course that we ordered had 3 pieces per dish, which might have been better if it were multiple of 2 (easier to split and share). The drink ordered was small considering the price. Good place and its ambience of trying to recreate the nostalgia with music is only ruined by the music being blasted by the other nearby restaurants. This place is almost everything that we would usually go for, bit lacking in everything by just a little. Staff needs to be a bit more attentive as theyd forgotten to serve water. Visit for the food, hope for a better service day!

Went there with a friend. Please do not waste your money here. It promises to be something good, but its really not. The food is really average. Theyve given fancy names to their dishes, while actually, they taste pretty average for a good place with that price point.The service was the worst. The servers, even when it wasnt crowded, were slow and not courteous. The staff was actually one of the worsts.

I had international guests over for a work project and I wanted to take them out to experience real indian flavour . I made the right decision of taking them to Namak Mandi. Their taste is impeccable! Their manager - Mr Ajay and the entire staff is wonderful. I told them that my guests are sensitive to spicy food and they carefully suggested dishes and also specifically cooked to our liking. Everything we ordered was lip-smacking. Literally all of my guests went back with big smiles & am amazing experience.

The day we had lunch here it was on Saturday that is on weekend , because of this they were almost full and a waiting period was going on . But because we were only 3 adults we got a table quickly without waiting much . There sitting area is not very large but the interiors of the place along with ambience makes up for it . They offer a huge menu in which they offer a good amount of dishes to choose from . Food quality & taste was good . Service was also decent , we didnt had to wait much for our food even though they were full that day . Staff is well trained & helpful . One must taste their Shikanji which they offer it was excellent & they offer a good portion to drink as well. All in all it was a good experience but I would like to visit them on weekdays or days when there isnt much of a crowd so that I can enjoy my food more calmly & relax 👌👌✌👍

I could have reviewed them as a great place... But my first experience made me give a thought, ambiance is good, but service is the part they need to improve, have to ask them to serve water again after waiting with empty glasses for a while.. They served gravy dishes but there were no small bowl. Small spoons were missing, in food I dont find and lacking it was good and tasty as per my tastes.. But they must improve service as well.

Place is good but food and service is not upto the mark. Dont know for what they charge hefty? Food is normal but the cost is amazingly high. Waiting time and space is also an issue. Space is so congested that one can easily see what adjacent visitor is eating.

Visited Namak Mandi wondering whether Id made the right decision considering one was there for a lunch meeting. Seated on a corner table I ordered ahead for my visitors.The kakori kababs- chicken and vegetable and chicken till, both made for tasty starters. The main course of Rogan Josh and their version of Butter Chicken by the way it was devoured with an assortment of breads (warqi couldve been crispier) seemed to have been a hit as well. The kaali daal was thick and tasty too.Overall an enjoyable, mid week meal. Its one of the Indian restaurants Id like to come with family.The second visit was as enjoyable. Tasty biryani and kofta, daal. Kurup who served me last time remembered my visit, which is a good one.

We visited Namak Mandi on the recommendation of a few friends and since it was Friday we hogged on some real good non veg.We started with Galouti Kebabs and these were the softest and the yummiest I’ve had in the longest time.For main course we had Murgh Bay Misal which was a different sort of butter chicken but s different yes delicious. One mustn’t miss their Chicken Biryani which was so good, I literally didn’t even share it with anyone.A good place if you’re for delicious food and gorgeous decors.

Ambience is simple yet good,food and the service do suffice the price.For the starters,they have some promising lamb served for you and the kebabs are worth trying even if you choose vegetarian options.The mutton biryani is nicely cooked and also well presented and served,even veg biryani is good to consider if you are vegetarian.Main course is sumptuous as well;the lamb,the butter chicken and kofta they serve is good to try.Orange kulfi and phirni are the best options for dessert.

The ambience was so subtle yet classy, go on date guys here. Such authentic vibes, it was so lovely being there. Every dish there justify with price, go for it.Starting from drinksThandai did total justice to its name and was surely refreshing. Perfect blending and full of dryfruits gave it the right taste.Galawati kebab has that right taste that you couldnt stop yourself from taking another one.Gosht nihari was my favourite among all. Spices were so amazingly poured in you could eat it continuously and the gosht was so perfectly cooked neither undercooked nor overcooked.Murgh Rampur Biryani had that rich taste of spices which you look for while having a perfect biryani.In desserts narangi kulfi was like that right closure you look while closing a deal. Right amount of sweet with that orange flavour and beautiful presentation you couldnt stop but luring for one more.

Beautiful place and beautiful food,quiet amiable and a tad bit fancy if you like that. I am a vegetarian so from my point of view, Id love to visit this place for some good three course meal. There are plenty of amazing options in starters;paneer tikka is good, dahi kebab is perfect and they have even experimented with jackfruit if you like to explore something different.You can have kofta in main course along with paneer.They even serve gluten free food if you want and desserts are amazing here, especially orange kulfi.

We visited Namak Mandi for lunch and I must say, they house the kindest staff and beautiful decor.We ordered Dahi Kebabs, Paneer Tikka and some Veg Kebabs all were amazing but my special mention here goes to Dahi Kebabs, which were so soft and melt in mouth kind! Def something everyone should try.For mains I had their special Mandi Dal which is the famous Dal Bukhara cooked overnight with a wholesome garlic and butter flavour. Would really really recommend having the dal and their Veg Biryani.The hospitality gets the additional points!:)

Starting from booking the table till the food the entire experience was bad. First they said you guys didnt call when we showed the call and duration the expression was indifferent, then food didnt follow the basic request of serving crispy breads. Its very expensive and servings are also to small.

Usually theres a long wait as they have less seating space. You might have to wait even if you have a reservation. All the items ordered had good presentation and were palatable. Starters though had less quantity as expected. The restaurant did not accept payment via dineout on Sunday.

One of the best fine dining place in Vasant Kunj area. Best part was, there were less crowd. We had ordered mix veg, Daal, Khamiri roti & tandoori roti. I can proudly say that, this restaurant has the best daal in town. Even though it was a daal rakhni, taste was way different and delicious than traditional daal makhani. Rest of the food was also mouthwatering. Interior was simple, table was giving ancient look & cutleries were good too. Location is an added advantage for this restaurant as well.

The spices in Galawati were literally bursting in the mouth like little crackers, dahi kebab was not deep fried and delicious and the mushroom cheese roomali was also delish.Dal Makhni was on point. What made me rate this restaurant a 2 is the staff and service1) the manager asked me to come in 15-20 mins but we waited eventually for 35+ mins2) missed order of roti and the right amendment I requested 2 time3) Told the manager 3 times about the issue but he did not care to get it sorted and just apologized. Top this was after a bad feedback we gave, no effort was made and they did not even serve us finger bowl.So if you want decent food and ok with poor service, try this place.

Awesome food. Tandoori chicken and Kashmiri Dam Aaloo were excellent specially Tandoori chicken. After long time had authentic tandoori. Recommended. Almost 700 to 800 per head .
