Hey Foodies! If you are looking for a fine dine experience without popping into a 5 star.....this is the perfect place for you undoubtedly, its been applauded one the best in its category by Times Food as well. The fusion menu here is an absolute brilliance of the chef, from starters till the desserts, service is very good undoubtedly while ambience is pretty decent and sober, the diners here is an absolute catalyst to ambience & is very well suited for the menu for sure. It not only offers a peaceful ambience but with this you will love the delicious and mouthwatering dishes.I had silbatte ki shammi, dahi ke kabab, murg laqmi, avocado bhel, kathal warqui, asparagus paddu etc.Now after the starters and main course, in dessert we had baked yogurt and Gajar ka kunafa. The level set by these Indian dessert is unmatchable.Totally loved the place. This is a must visit place for people who love soothing ambience. Masala house - a gem in the upscale market of Sundar Nagar, where there are limited eateries and all are of high quality.Masala house is serving some excellent fusion Indian food.I tried a variety of items there -Dahi ke kebab- soft and flavourful pieces of hung curd morsels melt in mouth. Very well prepared.Bhatti panner tikka- well marinated and baked to perfection in the tandoor. Big chunky pieces of panner. Loved it.Bhatti ka murgh- like tandoori chicken and oh so delicious.Kurkuri bhindi- thinly sliced bhindi, gramflour coated and deep fried to make crunchy and delicious Bhindi.Hing Dhaniya Aloo- very homely and very comfortingDaal Makhani- rich and creamy, perfect.Assorted breads- all were crisps and delicious.

Masala House is located in the Sunder Nagar market right next to Nathu Sweets. It is a beautiful example of Indian progressive cuisine combined not just with innovative presentation but also excellent cooking techniques amidst a comforting and classy ambience spread over 2 floors and a terrace although I didnt see it.After hearing wonderful reviews for quite some time, this was on my must visit list and finally I was here for dinner. With hospitality at its best and an exciting menu I started with THE MINT AND GINGER FIZZ COOLER. The warmth of the ginger infused with the freshness of the mint made it a perfect cooler to start the meal with.THE ARBI KAITAFI , a humble underated Arbi (colocasia)at its best . Mashed achari arbi folded in kaitafi (a kind of shredded phyllo pastry used in middle Eastern desserts)making it a sophisticated amalgamation of textures and flavours.Must try.THE KATHAL VARQUI was like a tart made out of the flakiest and lightest of phyllo pastry stuffed with a fragrant pulled kathal ( jackfruit) masala. .THE ANARKALI TIKKI ,a beetroot tikki stuffed with a peanut paste had balanced flavours from the sweetness of the beetroot and nuttiness of the peanuts.ASPARAGUS PUDDU had a beautiful presentation ,like a painting on a plate and tasted great similar to our idli but elevated. For mains must have is THE DAL MAKHANI PLATTER WITH CHUR CHUR NAAN.If a good Dal makes your day, then this one is for you and what better if the chur chur naan@s are @at their flakiest and crispiest .Loved every bite of it.THE PALAK MOTI was a cottage cheese dish which had soft cottage cheese blended with mascarpone cheese on a bed of spinach gravy . THE SOYA AND KHUMB MASALA is another flavourful dish to go with the well made Tandoori breads. For desserts , THE GAJAR HALWA KUNAFA is one of their signature desserts . Gajar Ka Halwa wrapped in kaitafi , another example of balancing textures and fusion food. Soft and not so sweet halwa with the crispiness of the kaitafi .However I found the halwa a bit higher on the khoya.THE GULABI PHIRNI was yum.It was no less than a fine culinary experience which I really enjoyed every bit. Thank you.My reviews are based on vegetarian food.

I visited this restaurant a few days back. This place in on the first floor and its spread into 2 floors. I didnt visit the other floor. This place is perfect for fine dine-in. Its ambiance was great with some amazing interior plus good vibes for a perfect lunch. Staff was so humble and was so aware of each and every dish on the menu.I found that place amazing as I had some new innovative dishes which I never tasted like kafir achari arbi (my fav) it tastes so good. And Anarkali Tikki was also so innovative as it contained beetroot. In drinks i loved masala mojito in warermelon flavour.Coming too main course that kulcha with dal makhani combination was the best and even I loved paneer lababdar, its presentation was just on point. In desserts, I had gulkand phirni and Kesar pasta kulfi. My overall experience was great!Perfect lunch with a great end with delicious desserts.Ambiance:- 4.5/5Taste:- 4.5/5Service:- 5/5I am definitely looking forward to visiting this place again soon.

Masala House redefines Indian cuisine to its best in a new yet authentic avatar. This is a fine dining restaurant located in Sunder nagar and is spread across two floors. The interiors are classy and elegant and the ambiance is lovely. The staff is efficiently trained, well mannered and courteous. They have a full bar with a huge range of drinks. Went to the place for lunch. They have such interesting range of starters and main course dishes that you will be amazed. Started with some drinks which were refreshing and delicious. My favourites being spice martini and mint/ginger cooler. For starters, we had a number of dishes. The dishes are very innovative and tasted amazing. These included avocado bhel, murg liqmi, kathal warqui, asparagus paddu etc. The presentation is absolute beautiful. For main course, had veg as well as non veg dishes. Totally loved the chicken khichdi, dal, amritsari wadi along with lachcha parantha, chicken and paneer stuffed naan. And to finish the lunch, had some desserts which were so innovative that you wont find them anywhere else. These were baked yogurt and gajar halwa qunafa. Overall, Masala House is am amazingly epic place and I would recommend everyone to visit this restaurant. It gives a whole new meaning to the word innovation. Masala House is an experience not to be missed.

A very sophisticated, elegant, classy ambience to have food with your family. Light music and peaceful place. Sometimes such places takes any meal to another level.About food, I personally liked the main course more than the snacks and drinks. In snacks Kataifi Achari Arbi was like a surprise to your taste buds. I cam never expect Arbi to be this much amazing to taste and such beautifully presented. Anarkali Tikki made up of beetroot was a healthy twist but too oily from the outer.Drinks were just fine. Though I liked Spicy Guava better than others.Main course was just too delicious. Soya Keema Khumbh Masala was a good try. Dum ki Daal was good and Paneer Lababdar was tasty as well as presented in a lovely way.Chur Chur Naan was my take on other breads. Crispy and well stuffed.Among Desserts, Gulkand Phirni is one of the best tried till now.If you also like places that serves good food and simple elegant ambience than do visit this place.

Located in the Sunder Nagar area of Delhi, this place is situated close to pragati maidan. Reaching this place is easy with your own conveyance. The place is an absolute fine-dine restaurant with soothingly lit ambience, posh seating and a well settled bar.We tried the Shami Kebabs, Dora Kebab and Murg Lukhmi for starters. While the Murg Lukhmi was chicken patty with tasty stuffed chicken we also liked the Dora Kebab for their flavor and aroma. For main course we tried the Dum ki Daal, Moge wala Tamateri Kukkad and Dum Biryani. The chicken was a bit sweet to our palate but we really liked the Dum ki Daal with Chur Chur Naan. The Biryani was also tasty. For drinks we tried the Anarkali in mocktail and LITT. Both the drinks were refreshing and we specially loved the LIIT.The desserts consisted of Gajar Halwa Kunafa and Badam and Khajoor ka Halwa. While we liked the Gajar Halwa Kunafa, we totally loved the Baadam and Khajoor ka Halwa. The texture of this Halwa with perfectly balanced sweetness made it just perfect.

I have to rate this place as 5, I just liked what I ordered here, food was really awesome and it was prepared with some trained chef. The paneer tikka was really creamy, usually you dont like panner tikka that easily of any location but I liked here. Another biryani option for vegetarian is there. Bhavnagri mirch ki kaddi was loaded with masala and too good. Palak motti is a form of palak Paneer but the Paneer is not cottage cheese so be careful if you are expecting cottage cheese. We visited on a Saturday Evening, purely based on a friends reviews and we were not disappointed. We were lucky to have got an entry without reservation. This place does not boast of a complex elaborate menu that would can spend hours reading. Rather a simple menu with some of their best dishes. We ordered the achaari Arbi starter, which we could not get due to lack of time. The dish takes 30 mins. To make and serve. So we ordered the paratwala paneer (layered paneer). To the surprise of a paneer tikka hater like me, it was an easy yet very smart dish. Layers of paneer, and roasted dry fruits joined together with cheese and baked into cubes. This is going to rock my home parties now, with a little less khada masala though. In main course we ordered daal makhani and paneer lababdaar. Boy! Were we mesmerized with the taste of both. First time I tried a paneer lababdaar so soft and special. With filling oozing out of the rolls of paneer, and the sugar charcoal for garnish, it is a must try dish. Then we ordered the alloo chur chur naan which I did not like much. In breads we gave a try to appams which were heavenly.Coming to dal makhani with the kesar pulao, I can bet you have never had something so tasty in your lifetime.Bill for all this plus drinks came to around 5000 for 5 people. We used one zomato gold which made the paneer starter free.Special mention to Mr. Jagbeer who was our server and guided us to order their specialities.

There are many signature dishes that you might not find anywhere else. This is a must visit place do have a different kind of satisfying experience. Most of the days in the week there is waiting. The crockery is worth noticing as it is unique and classic. Dishes are more than pieces of art. So is their presentation. Food is, at best, OK. I think most reviews praising the food (in my opinion) is over the top! Moreover, their clientele may be mostly foreigners and for whom the food is OK. But, the food here is definitely not for the Indian Palate. Most dishes were bordering on being on the sweeter side which is not what I look for in an Indian Restaurant in India. If one talks about the restaurant being anywhere overseas then it is appropriate for those places. Otherwise, staff were courteous and service was good. We had made a prior reservation for 10 pax and wish they could have asked where we would like to be seated at the time of making reservation because they made us sit on the top floor which was vacant and monotonous and we were the only occupants.
