If you are from North-east India and you are looking for the flavours of Assam, this is the best place to be in Delhi. We literally ate like people who havent eaten in a long time and got a bill of Rs 1500. ( 4 pork dishes, 1 chicken, 1 fish, rice, dal and salad). Pork dry fry was amazing. The waiters are absolutely courteous. Already missing it.

Went to Gams Delicacy after a gap of few months. Food has been good always. Several dishes in the menu were not available (was available earlier). On enquiry we were informed that they are transitioning and will soon be taken over by another group ( Maihang). Hopefully they live up to their reputation and we have a place for home food, away from home. Best wishes !!

Excellent food - will definitely come back again and again

Had veg thali and pork today. Below expectation and the place is run like a road side stall. No professionalism. Sad to say its a shadow of yesteryear Gams Delicacy. Wake up u have a way to go. They have a captive customer base, the Assam House residents hence theres isnt any effort to improve the standard. Sorry but one star is just too much for the shoddy food and the below par service.

You want authentic north east cuisine..Just go to this place.. its located inside Assam house in Chanakyapuri..from variety of pork,mutton to chicken and for vegetarians options they have some amazing local greens & thali..the prices are so reasonable..

Delicious, home-style cooking, low on spice and grease. This restaurant specializes in food from the North-East (in particular Assam, of course) though they do also offer the Punjabi/Mughlai food popular in Delhi. You can order a la carte, though if youre a smaller group, ordering a vegetarian thali (with a non-vegetarian dish on the side, if you want) is a good option. We did this, ordering four vegetarian thalis, a borali fish curry, and a pork fry.All the dishes were delicious, and the bill came to an unbelievable Rs 1320 - for four adults and one child! Excellent value for money. Plus, surprisingly efficient, friendly staff. Thoroughly commercial restaurants can take a lesson or two from this place.

+1 to my bucket list of Indian state bhawan located in DelhiIt is newly constructed building in Chanakyapuri. Was waiting for them to open for public. It is one of the beautiful state houses situated in Delhi. The paintings in corridor will definitely slow down your speed.They have a restaurant named as games delicacy.I tried chicken with banana flower for first time, and it was damn tasty.Became a fan of jujubepickleMust try this restaurant if you want to have Assam, India food.

This place has opened again after renovation of the Assam House. They have a diverse menu and excellent fish dishes. We tried rohu fish tenga and pork with potatoes. The second dish was excellent. Do try the veg thali as well.

Beautiful place . Food is very tasty . Staff is professional. I had veg thali . Fried veg was super delicious . It was some broccoli potatoes dish . Loved it .Serving style was very attractive. They served food in brass plate n bowl .

Excellent Assamese delicacy. Wide range of dishes specially in fish and rice preparation.

Food that tastes homely. Cooked just right with the right amount of oil an spices. Had no great expectations from fish items there. But to our surprise fish turned out quite good. Authentic. The pork dry fry was a perfection! Must mention that the staff was quite friendly too.

Really relished the Thali and Pabho maas curry. I will recommend all my friends in Delhi those who are keen to have Assamese cuisine.

Fantastic food item and all service very good

Gam Delicacy has a lot to offer. The delicious pork fry, duck curry, and chicken curry were outstanding. Being an Assamese, I highly recommend this place if anyone wants to try Assamese food. One can go for Assamese thali as well to try the authentic flavour of Assam. Go for joha rice instead of regular rice. Joha is flavourful and aromatic.

Would have given 4+ stars as the food is still very good. But the renovation has taken away some of the warmth which marked it earlier and it is costlier.

Veg Thali is worth spending every Penny. Duck curry was also tasty. One of the best for authentic assamese food.Moreover you can purchase some homemade pickles made out of Bambooshoots, mango, olive, garlic etc. from there.

Nice place for fooding. Rate is quite high.only five kachuri with chola, a Cup of tea & one bottle of water cost Rs. 150/ only.

The restaurant is inside the Assam house, its not easy for passer-by to locate or to even know whether there is a restaurant inside.The entrance is well maintained and clean.Restaurant is decorated to give a feel of assamese culture.The thali has a number of bowls with varied items, all assamese falvoured. Joha rice, mati mahor dali, khaar, aaloo pitika all of it was good. However the chicken fry was not upto the mark, anyhow overall it was good.
