This building is the office of Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change. A building with zero electricity consumption and entirely based on renewable energy. A good effort from the ministry towards the green and sustainable environment. Roof of the building is fully covered with the Solar Panels.

This building is located at about 700meters away from Jorbagh metro rail station . This building is housing all many wings of Minstry of environment and forests & climate change and implementing green concepts, like self sustaining renewable power generation, land scaping, good ventilation, centralized air conditioning etc. Parking is a problem for outsiders. Washrooms are maintained properly and hygienic. Canteen is also available and offer north indian and south indian items at subsidized rates. Greenery is beautiful. Any body wants to go inside has to take permission from reception by showing proper identity and purpose of visit.

One of the very good government buildings ( Ministry of Environment and Forestry) in terms of Energy Efficiency Techniques. The temperature drops from outside to inside can be felt by everyone. Good usage of locally available materials. Good place to visit .

At about 700 meter from Jor Bagh Metro station. If you are coming by car from Safdarjung tomb side, take left from Jor Bagh Metro station. If one coming from Safdarjung airport/INA side, you can take U-turn from Safdarjung tomb red light. Parking is a big problem for outside vehicles. Extremely tight security measures adopted in the building. Some may feel it to be unnecessary.

Modern building great thinking and a lot of planning has gone into it solar power water conservation and lighting bus number 794 588 will drop you off withing 100 metres and Joe Bagh metro withing 300 metres . A government office , necessary permission needs to be taken for entrance .
