I had a chance to get in touch and interact with Doctor Gagan Gautam & his team for the treatment of renal mass for my mother.Dr. Gagan was very thorough in diagnosis and very clearly laid out the possibilities of all the potential treatment options. We went for the partial nephrectomy robotic surgery , which was carried out very cleanly by him without any complications. My mother could walk the next day after the surgery, something which might not have been possible with an open surgery and is recovering well.Dr. Gagan is a very fine surgeon and highly respected by his team. My brother was diagnosed with right renal mass during a bank medical examination. This was an accidental discovery and came as a shock to us. When we went ahead and got it checked with the doctors in Dehradun (we are based out of Dehradun), we could not find a way to get it removed except the robotic surgery. When my brother visited a clinic in Lagos, Nigeria, with complaints of lower urinary tract symptoms, he was found with associated enlarged prostate gland which had a markedly elevated serum PSA. The prostrate biopsy later revealed adenocarcinoma of the prostate gland.Our family was devastated on hearing this and wanted our brother to be able to access state of the art facility for best of care. From pre-surgery PSA of 119.82 ng/ml with over 70% involvement of the gland to an achievement of 0.950 ng/ml, one month after surgery, that was impressionable. Test conducted after the next one month achieved an 0.05 ng/ml result and a further three months down the line, our brothers PSA test result came to 0.03 ng/ml. These results succeeded in shutting up the mouth of every family member who had shown preference for US, Israel and South Africa. I am 60 years old and was incidentally detected with a tumor in my right kidney during a routine check up. My father was recently diagnosed with muscle invasive bladder cancer. He was suggested to go for a complete Radical Cystectomy. My dad, who has always been healthy as a horse and never ever seen inside of a hospital for himself, came across this diagnosis with a total surprise .He was scared and was not sure how he will go through with this life changing treatment. Doctor Gagan Gautam is one of the best doctor I have ever seen in my life .He is God on the earth for the patients.I was detected with a Renal Angimyolipoma of about 6 cms. I had already shown to few places in Delhi (during 6-8 months), but I wasnt satisfied with the responses.Then,I came across the google review of Dr. Gautam and decided to meet him. That first meeting with him turned out to be one of the best moment of my life. What a satisfying and reassuring meeting it was !! It was tormenting to know tat my father had adenocarcinoma of prostrate , which was confined to the gland only but with a very high psa of 51.5 even i was scared a lot .
