This is vice chancellor office of Delhi University. Situated in north campus. This place has its own beauty as you can see in the picture. Every independence day and other soecial days, they light it like that. Other than that, vc lawns are enriched with greens where not only students but families are also allowed to have a walk while enjoying fresh air in the morning and evening. During January February, you can see a lot of different and unique flowers which are shown on annual flowers show (it’s on hold during Covid times). On other side of vc office, Kamla nehru ridge is also there. You can reach here via Vishvidhyalaya metro station. It is at walking distance from the metro station.

VC Lawns, which lie in the heart of North Campus, University of Delhi have glorious stories associated with it. A conglomerate of departments and colleges are found in its vicinity. The VC Lawns have pertinent cultural and historical associations. The VC Lawns has managed to carve a niche in the leaves of modern history.The Lawns are an archive of history as the arcades of that building are the repository of the time when the Northern Ridge in Delhi served as the British cantonment during the early 20th century. It has also served as a residential area for the imperial rulers. The University of Delhi was established in the year 1922 and subsequently, the estate was handed over to the University in 1933. Presently, it serves as the University of Delhi’s Vice-Chancellor’s office.The rich historical backdrop of the VC Office and lawns further glorifies it. A peaceful and greenery place. A big garden is open for public but generally used by Delhi University students. In front of garden there is a beautiful VC office. Here are so many science department for post graduation. A central science library and lots more things.

One of the best locations in the North Campus with an invigorating environment where people come for evening walk, playing games or even just to hangout. It is hub of various academic activities and is accessible to students all the time.It is indeed to mention the VCs mansion which is undoubtedly so elegant with its lightings and decorations. Vast lawns host the most magnificent Annual Flower Show. (A bunch of stray dogs out there, not so harmful !!)
Good place for all University work. A lot of University staffs and students visit regular in office hour. Near to Metro station, many important administration buildings of University is here. There are good parks to walk in the morning and evening.

Heritage building of India. It has a cell inside where Freedom fighter Shri Bhagat singh was kept before he was taken to the gallows. It used to be the viceroys lodge during the British occupied India.
