All India Radio or Akash bani bhawan everyone loves it, but not the present generation. We brought up listening radio till date we love this place. This was the only place which gives us the wireless exposure in life in our childhood. Helps us to know with everything and entertainment

Old heritage building of colonial times..

I worked almost 8 plus years here. A great feeling would say; with new building or renovation happiness every now and then.. U feel mix of old and new together. Its a great platform to show case ours old heritage. To enter you must have valid reason though.. So if you get inside, enjoy the experience 🙂

Situated in one of the best locations in Delhi All India Radio is a huge place. All though its a restricted place but you can visit it once if you wish to. Youll not be allowed beyond the reception even to just see the place. The staff is nice and informative. Theyll brief you on your queries. Good luck

Wonderful experience to listen to 106.4 FM Vividh Bharati Delhi. Old and Gold songs through Chhaya geet, Sada bahar nagme, Man chahe geet etc., to name a few.. Aajao thadapthi hai armaan.. FM Gold 100.1 is another hit from All India Radio.Unfortunately FM Rainbow is a failure . It seems only an imitation of Private FM stations . Many tier 2 cities like Jammu, Varanasi, Jabalpur, Surat, Vizag, Mysore, Coimbatore, Trichirapalli and Kochi are burdened with Rainbow. They may be allowed to relay Man chahe geet at noon, jaimala in the evening and Chhayageet+Aap ki furmaish at night. Let desh ki surili dhadkan reach maximum people.

Definitely All India Radio (popularly known as AIR) deserved to be highest rating higher than five. It was established in 1930 and since 1956, it is known as Akashvani which comes under Prarsar Bharati of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. AIR is the National Broadcasters of India. In the present time, despite many private Radio/FM stations, many of AIRs programmes, such as Vividh Bharati, FM Gold, Rainbow etc are just the best ones. AIR covers across the Country and reaches to more than 99 percent population and its network is the largest in the World. Nobody can bear AIR. Its main office is located in Akashvani Bhawan which is located in the Parliament Street, New Delhi. News produced by AIR is treated more reliable than news from other sources.
