A small cozy studio near Shadipur metro station in Central Delhi. Its hardly 5 minutes of walking distance away from the metro station. It is situated inside the Mayday Book store.

My first experience was very welcoming, very heart warming and a great vibe overall throughout the space.....despite the space constraints, it felt a bit more connected, a bit more dilli jaisa if u will. Play which I went was ILHAM, wonderful play, studded by beautiful performances.

Place is very nice for stage plays.. audience sits very close therefore one doesnt have to be too loud to be audible.. lights used in studio safdar is of standard quality and has a lot of variations... Overall a nice ambience for plays.

It is good and awesome studio if your production or event is low on budget then should also do here and guyz agar aap theatre krne ke irade se jaa rahe ho to awesome he ye jgha.....

Small studio but still totally worth it. Traveling by car is difficult because there is too much traffic. Get down at patel nagar metro and than use Google maps. There is a nice library right next to the studio. New theatre groups should definitely perform here

Superb place for book readers, people who interested in theatres. Very good platform for newcomers

This is a very nice place for shows and plays. It has a bookshop alongside the studio. Their speciality is that they do not charge anything from a group to perform there, and even if they charge that is very megre amount (not the main amount for conducting play). This is a very old studio( but recently renovated, so is in good condition), and this runs on the donations given by people.

Our play JONK was performed here, liked this place.

Creativity space.. Highly recommend to all theatre artist.

A very lovely place and lively too. Various types of theatre plays are stages here. Despite its small size, all the plays are performed very well.This place is quaint and interesting as it offers different types of books to read and buy, that too in a very reasonable price.One can reach here by getting down at Shadipur metro station and then 7 minutes walk....

Theres a library which you can scroll through while waiting for the consecutive plays. The staffs are really helping and Studio Safdar is by far the best place where youll see the pool of talent in theaters.

This is the best place for theatre actor to perform before main stage or auditorium. It is like a bridge for an artist.This studio is made in memories of Safdar Hashmi sahab who died in street play. (Jinke Naam par Mandi house m sadak bhi hai)about this place you will find a decent library and canteen and clean washroom.

The cramped settings of the performing area makes it perfect for eerie sections of any production, especially horror oriented ones. The seating could be a bit better, but its not a big issue.

The smell of that place when you enter is almost everything. It just captures your heart, a simple as that. The Sunday sessions that Moloyashree Maam and the volunteers take with the local kids is one of the best experiences along with a variety of book collection in the bookstore. It was an amazing visit.

Came here to watch one of greatest plays Ive seen till date, Ilhaam. The experience was greatly enhanced just by the seating of the studio. Very thoughtful. Im glad I saw this play here and not at the big theatres. ☝

It is a small studio with good lighting and sound. But believe me when I say this that there is no place like this in whole Delhi. When you look at the location and its placing, you can never guess that it is a bundle of creative, passion and knowledge.It is compact and that is exactly where the beauty lies. Its highly organized and very clean and a huge recommendation by me.The plays are amazing and very raw, direct from the heart. How can I say that because I have experienced myself. Barge in any day, you wont be disappointed.This place in Shadipur is not only studio but also have an amazing collection of Hindi novels. If you are an avid reader of Hindi then it is a must place for you. Their collection have old rare pieces of literature but also amazing contemporary Hindi novels.They also have a little the area where people can sit and sip tea and coffee it is the most cozy and comfortable part of the whole studio. People sit there and discuss novels, plays, art and what not.It have an art corner where they showcases the art work of different artists. The choice of artist is meticulously done. Apart from that the placing of the art corner is apt i.e., in front of sitting area.♥It is the best place to go on a date ( if you love play/ books/ art/ exploring) or to meet someone new of such interests or if you are a artist yourself I am sure you will be inspired!

Very nice place to enjoy theatre and other cultural activities. Theatre performances happen here every weekend at 7 in the evening. Write outside is mayday bookstore where you can enjoy reading books. If you have been there then there is no need to telling you. If not then you have missed a beautiful place. So please go asap.

Nice place to enjoy arts but is located at an odd area. Cant be easily found. Reasonable distance from metro station but you cant find out easily.However, the plays being performed here are chosen well.I can go, anyway.

Great place for Theatre enthusiasts - also with a cozy book cafe alongside to hand around

Studio Safdar is a space one can perform a show with limited sources. The space is has around 20 lights and a good sound system. Karan is the staff member is very generous and cordial with enough talent. Next to studio Safdar the book show is full of books with left ideology.The space is good for show preparation, conducting seminars, workshops.

Its a beautiful place,people should visit to see play there.

WHERE BARRIERS ARE BROKENA very cozy and intimate space to witness performances, without the fourth wall. It is a concept to let art free of any institutional interference, and stands as a perfect tribute to Safdar Hashmi. The space is let out to theatre groups where they can showcase their talent. Studio Safdar is close to the people, both in terms of location as well as spirit. Keep up the good work

Excellant alternative space... small but with all facilities of a stage play... comes along with an excellant Leftword book store and May Day cafe... an amazing option for small theatre groups with less resources... offers regular performances of good and quality theatre performances.

Although a little tough to reach because of the location but its a beautiful small studio with compact sitting and serious audience to watch all kinds of stuff.There was a huge library outside the studio which we couldnt explore due to short time but worth a visit :)

Great place to study about theater and also practice the same. It has classes for young children of the surrounding to experience good teaching practices of art, poems, story etc.

Great place for alternate art. Check out their facebook page for updates on new performances. The place has also got air conditioning for the past year which has made it much more comfortable. Nearest metro station is Shadipur. You can either take a cycle rickshaw or walk.

Its is near ps ranjit nagr . Parking is available. It is adjacent to may day library. Good place for startups but seating capacity is not more than 70-80 .

There is a centre stage and seating all around it. Plays are not done to earn money. The play we went for was free of cost and we came to know that this is the case for all plays done here.

A great space for people in this part of Delhi to access theatre on the cheap. Not great for those who feel hot easily.

Its new and just working good on its pace and when tou can watch drama shows and reahearse their you can also read nice books with a well known library just by its side. But the location may not too catchy.
