Shivaji Stadium, famous for hockey matches during the 80 s. I have seen so many mtaches here. The Stadium was built in 1964 and commissioned. It had grass surface but later for the Commonwealth Games in 2010 they had renovated with synthetic surface. No mstches were played in this elegant stadium, marred in controversies. It has been locked ever since. So sad for such a beautiful stadium next door to Connaught Place.

Its grand. Perhaps it has not been marketed well like the other international stadiums. But one can see its magnificence only when they compare it with other international stadiums. Also, it is well maintained and well equipped with all the latest infrastructure.

Great infrastructure. The stadium consists of comfortable sitting. One of the best hockey infrastructures in Delhi. Great position and easy to find, parking is hassle free. But I would expect cleaner washrooms

It was nice but it lacked in maintenance. But ice so it was nice. I enjoyed playing there.

Nice facility. However why government agencies do not maintain the utilities such as parking etching is beyond understanding. U can find drivers urinating in the basement parking. Drivers gamble in game of cards openly.Dogs poo has infested the area.

Hockey stadium....and some central government offices are also located here....Best place to watch hockey in New Delhi... Actually it was Constructed For Delhi common wealth games..but it was not Fully available at that particular time ...Now it is used for Inter state hockey tournaments ...

Shivaji stadium is situated in central Delhi and nearby many popular govt building are situated. Shivaji stadium has two parts, one is stadium when you go to play or watch game which a very well maintained and another part is office building which houses PFMS office. PFMS has responsibility to manage all the public funds which is granted by Govt of India to various departments for public welfare.

The stadium earlier was not upto international standards but it was completely reconstructed few years ago and since then then the stadium is very well maintained and facility those re world class. Some matches which are not high profile are being played here and specially all the club matches.
