Municipal Corporation of Delhi Civic Centre is the tallest building in New Delhi at 101 metres and 28 floors.Built at a cost of Rs 500-650 crore, the building was designed by architect Shirish Malpani. He is a visiting faculty at School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. The maintenance of the building has been outsourced to a private company for Rs 8.33 crore/year.The 28-storeyed MCD Civic Centre comprises five multi-storey blocks, with a total built-up floor area of approximately 1,16,000 sq metres excluding a three-level basement parking facility for about 2,500 equivalent car unit, seven entry and exit gates, eight escalators, 43 passenger and service elevators and 100 per cent power back-up. It is near to Asaf Ali Road. MCD Civic Centre is surrounded by Tagore Road, Jawahar Lal Nehru Road, Vivekananda Road, and Zakir Hussain College.It was inaugurated in April 2010, after 15 years of delays, and MCD offices shifted from Delhi Town Hall in Chandni Chowk.

It was my first visit to the Civic Centre. A building that many of us have seen from outside. It is the Head office of all 3 municipal corporations of Delhi. Very neat and well maintained building.

Its a government office building on minto road. Many government offices are there like Delhi municipal department, Income tax department etc. This building is very good maintained. Proper security is there. It is located near dassuhera maidan and new delhi railway station. Nearest metro station is, New delhi metro station.

I was supposed to visit this corrupt office. But could not even gain entry as you need the visitor pass. The reason for my visit was to get map for construction of building as i didnt knew the concerned department, the pass was not issued to me.The lady at the reception was very rude. They didnt even bothered that i came in such a scorching heat of summer.She simply said i should know which department to visit. She didnt wanted to help and straight away said that i only issue pass i have no knowledge.What is the meaning of reception then ?If you cant even guide the needy.Eating away the tax payers money. The experience was the worst ever.I am looking for agents to get the work done for me.Negative rating from me.

This is the tallest building of Delhi.Its really tall.... So tall that you wont receive mobile phone signals.Its houses the income tax department in e block. And b block.There is also another low 4ise building which houses the municipal corporation offices.Cant say about parking as I always reach here by metro only.its walking distance from new Delhi metro station or you can take a 10 buckks e rickshaw.

Only building is beautiful.No parking..No water..Lift are proper working. they are divided in odd and even floors.Employees are rude...Specially Ask employees...jaise ki ehsaan kar rahe hain...saale....mc bc.

Civic centre is a nicely laid out building. However the parking is very confusing. The exit signs are not properly displayed. At certain points they are so small to even get noticed.

Mcd has got its new office..Which had many new feature.But for those working on contractual basis is hardly earning 12-15K per month as there is a long chain of mediator including officials and other staff.

No outsider vehicles are allowed to enter in the buildings parking so you have to leave your vehicle at the roadside, which can be towed by the traffic police.

You will change your perceptions about govt. manage buildings and offices after visiting civic center, cleanliness, maintenance of parks, porchs , corridors, office rooms, lifts and above all security of the building is up to the mark. What the astonishing thing observe is the behaviour of the officials of South Delhi MCD was really heartening as found them supportive to all visitors, this is all because of the good environment .

Its no more different than other government offices. Officials are of not good nature. Though, infrastructure built is good but they should invest something on their employees too. Only they can serve better else check for automation.

Very Big Government building and infact a state of Art Govt Building of Delhi. Very well maintained and built quality of the building is very good. There is very good security inside and building and no transpasser is allowed. Ample space for Car parking inside the building but it is subject to approval from Admin or Employee of MCD. This office is basically for North and South MCD and all their officials are based out of this office. Wheelchair accessible parking and entrance is available and toilets are easily available and accessible for all employees and visitors. Lifts are very good and works very smoothly and fast, you will not even realise when it starts and when stops.

This place is awesome place for organising seminars. This place is visitor from outside easily. Generally the public entry is from Gate 7. This place has a huge infrastructure and has a big Auditorium inside. There is elevator facility also.
