You are not doing your job properly ! If you did Pharmacy, India should not struggle for medicines.

I really congratulate the PCI for updating profession of pharmacy practice more patient oriented and pharmaceutical care by introducing M Pharm ( Pharmacy practice and Pharm D. I am very sure that these two courses will promise the current demand of the medical as well as patient care.At the same time I request the same body to restrict only pharmacy practice and Pharm D people to do join as a pharmacist in India besides Diploma in pharmacy and B Pharmacy. Presently so many other specialisations like M Pharm in pharmacy (Pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharm. chemistry etc) are joining and diluting the values of profession. Hence I request you kindly make a note to all the recruiting people to give preference only to M Pharm - pharmacy practice and Doctor of pharmcy in hospital practice.I also request PCI to regulate the entry of students into respective higher level pharmacy programmes by insisting to write their ACTIVE STATE PHARMACY COUNCIL REGISTRATION NUMBER on the SCHOOL/COLLEGE APPLICATION FORM / COMMON ENTRANCE APPLICATION FORM. It helps in forcing the students to study only in approved colleges & also fixing the managements authorities i.e universities to verify each student studied in PCI approved college or not.24 02 2016Now we have enough number of pharmacy institutions in India. There is a need to standardize the institutions to impart quality education for the students thereby Quality Pharmacists for the nation. There is a need to restrict admissions only candidates who are interested in pharmacy education and its practice. Present scenario help other professionals to get admission in pharmacy schools (at least during the registration at respective pharmacy councils) and complete their course, and giving away the certificates to run pharmacy without a pharmacist. Its a illegal and levy penalty heavily for the registered pharmacist as well store keeper. During admission itself need to take a consent from the applicant that the course is joined with a professional respect and will not practice any other profession ( medical, dental, nursing, engineering or any other job etc..). It help in maintain the harmony among the professionals or professional standards. It is the time to think seriously and take action. Its my personal opinion and need to take necessary action on exploring. There is no personal bias in this regards and its purely meant for the professional integrity !

Pci just wants money , opened pharm d courses in india whithout having any idea that there is no job for pharm d , every company is preferring bpharm or diploma.....pharm d has to pay lots of fee ....just selling the degree in the name of doctor fooling people that they will be called doctor ...but without jobs no scope nothing ...shame on you pci

Why Cant you remove M.Pharmacy from professional courses lists if it is equal to M.Sc. any pharma jobs under eligibility criteria they are asking either M.Sc or M. Pharmacy.I dont understand the thingswhy to waste time by doing M.pharma if it is equal to non professional degreesWhy to waste money for studying this useless course like M.PharmacyThis is the course that preparing the students as costly labour with less salaries at the age of 25-26 in pharma companiesWhat is the need of writing GPAT or GATE and getting marks in it is there any use, we are making ourselves as a poor by doing this M.Pharmacy CourseIt is just time pass course please DONT go for it, if choose this as your career means your destroying your life with your own HandsOne more fact Pharmacy is the one of toughest course than MBBS, and also it is one of the useless course

Pharmacy Council Of India initially meant to govern and control Pharmacy education and profession in India have lost its teeth which is evident from the fact that Pharmacy Colleges are mushrooming in every nook and corner without infrastructure, faculty and producing the so called Pharmacists which are of no use to society, industry and for academic institutions. Take for example the case of Pharma industry which is hiring Pharma professionals be it B. Pharm in Ayurveda, B. Pharm in Veterinary Science, B. Pharm in Unani Medicine or B. Pharm in Allopathy in the same pay scale as there exists no control of the governing body and even those who have passed their degrees from unapproved colleges are ruining the careers of genuine candidates, there exists no scope for those who want to enter into Pharma field as nowadays they have to compete with people having B.Sc. or M. Sc. who are willing to enter Pharma field and are ready to work for a meager salary and as such people holding Pharma degrees are paid peanuts not enough to feed a single soul!
