Rajma chawal was too tasty, but gokul lassi is not worth 100 rs per glass and taste also not good.
A very crowdy place located in the busy market of Nehru Place. Its hard to get a place to sit in Sona sweets especially during lunch time. Went to this place couple of times..This place serves very good and soft idlis. I liked their south indian dishes..Chats and sweets were good too.. On one of my friends recommendation, I tried their paranthas but was not impressed by the taste and quality. Size of parantha was huge but it was not at all worth in terms of taste.
Have been eating here for the last 25 years. Now I visit here from Mumbai. Awesome food and snacks
Took almost 2 hours of time to serve single dosha date 2nd October 2021
Today I bought Malpua, the taste of which was very sweet, which did not taste good at all. it was so bad.
Its my favorite place for lunch.Awesome south Indian food and Chhole Bhature. Must try Sweets like Rabri Faluda.
Food is good no doubt, but the owner of shop very rude behaviour, he doesnt know how to behave with the customers. Customer should be your first priority, but attitude of owner is very bad.
Bad service. Food taste not so good and costly
Pathetic rabri faluda , chhole bhature is good and sweets are good
Tried the rajma chawal and ras malai. Both were above expectation. Visit here after searching for electronics.
SONA SWEETSΒ is aΒ Indian Restaurant Dealing in sweets andΒ Indian cuisine. It was started in 1984 at Nehru Place commercial complex.Β Indian cuisineΒ is being diversified in to tandoori platters, Thali and Paranthas. In beverages, they have specialize in gokul ki lassi and rabri falooda. Also flavours of streetfood like pao bhaji, vada pao, bhelpuri, aloo tikki, etc. I have tried rabri Faluda, Dosa ,moong dal ka halwa. Extremely nice taste ..I really loved it. Want to visit again and try paneer dosa .
This is a very old shop and the food is amazing. Chole bhature are awesome with a side dish of palak paneer. Gokul lassi is a must try. After all the food, try the rabri falooda for dessert. It is worth the price and does justice to the name. Checkout the attached images for the things i mentioned. The price is pretty decent for the food. On weekdays, a stand outside the sona sweets serves poha which is light on the stomach. If you like poha as a dish youll love this one too.
I its so good place for eating something π
If you are looking for sweets and snacks then this place is for you. They have all the famous sweets and snacks. Its a very famous sweet shop at Nehru Place and each and every item is good.I have tried their Paneer Dhokla Sandwichand just love it. Ambience is good and highly recommending this place for some fun and food.
Food was delicious bt thoda costly tha
A good place, where you can get good quality and quantity in a minimal cost
Sona Sweets:There are more pros and less cons for this place.Very good place for quick bite as well as to have your lunch or dinner. The product ranges from delicious sweets to South Indian foods to spicy Punjabi Jayakas. You should try your snacks or lunch at least while you are in Nehru Place regarding your official work.
Today we purchased 7 Samaosa at 10 O Clock and they gave yesterday basi Samosa...
Yummiest food I have ever tried. All sweets and snacks are so yummy that you can never go past this place without eating something. They have the best chola batura is in the City. I tried there gobi ka paratha and it was too yum. The only show I face is there is very less space to set. If the weather is nice you can actually stand outside. There are Street boys and people who will bother you. the taste of food is so good that you forget everything and enjoy the delicious food in your plate.
Love the Gokul lassi at Sona sweets , its a unique variant with a rich frothy creamy lassi topped with gur.The sweets are also excellent along with the chole bhature and other snacks. However the chaat items did not seem to be of equal level in comparison to the rest of the items on the menu. This place is the most crowded in Nehru place along with the Shahi paneer joints and has limited seating ( 5-6 tables ) so finding space to sit can be difficult during lunch hours.
Awesome tasteFood is really greatServices is gudThe best part i liked the way the handle the bunch of customersReally quick servicesPlace is small and little sitting availableThe taste of the sweets is really greatPlace is not so hygenicNo washroom available hereOverall the place is really best for veggie and sweets loversBest dosa I ever hadAnd Soo many varieties available
Everything was so good, the food was delicious only the thing is that you have to compromise with space..since its a crowded place, so you have to wait for some time for your seat..
One of the best place for sweets and other snacks. Easy to reach, hygienic place, self-service.
Much costly, its cant afford middle class
No quality compromise, I am visiting this place since last 20 years.
Best in taste, hygiene and correctly priced menu. all indian veg cuisine
Food is good.. Everything is good.. Its not a fine dine.. Its self service place.. Must try if you are in nehru place...
Restaurant in the busy market of Nehru place. Usually crowded coz being the only easily accessible restaurant where you can sit and have food in the market. Not that cheap not that heavy on the pocket but yes food is tasty. Only down point is waiting time is too much around afternoon however i would suggest not to visit at this time during pandemic as there is not even a single precaution taken by the owner to avoid crowd or sanitize the area.
Good food quality but sitting arrangement not good, you have to wait for sit
Very tasty sweets and a lot of variety along with snacks
Probably, single affordable eatery @ nehru place ( I think).Very busy centre. No space even to stand. We tried masala dosa. Taste was excellent. We ordered Lassi also. Its also very yummy. We can relay on them for our lunch.Vast items in their menu. One can explore both South and North Indian recipes together.
It is good, serves snacks and sweet.
Renowned landmark and a very busy and crowded food hub in nehru place ...South Indian delicacies are worth ordering ....Serves huge paranthas and uttpam (more than enough for a single person diet) ...They have additional counters for chat items and bhelpuri ....they accept cash / credit card and paytm as well.
Me and my friend were wandering around Nehru Place Market looking for a place to eat and we found this amazing place βSona Sweets Sri Udipi RestaurantβIt is a nice place with a lot of variety than sweets. We ordered:1. Masal Dosa, it was so perfect and tasty. I totally loved the filling. Sambar was quite good but coconut chutney was a bit spicy than usual.2. Chole Bhature, the platter had creamy Chole, Palak Paneer and Achaar with 2 huge fluffy and soft Bhatures. It was totally amazing.I definitely recommend it.All the people wandering around Nehru Place for gadgets and stuff, just try this place.Service- 4/5Food- 4/5Ambience- 3/5
Like Always....good... excellent and awesome...!!!
Nice place eat and chit chat with friends
Good quality π safe and affordable Indian cuisine, fast service, great variety. Lovely food
Nice place with good quality of food
Awesome food. Reasonable price
Good food β¦ good place !
Very good food. Sona sweet is very good shop in middle of nehru place Market. They serve very long menu including South Indian chaat sweet dessert. Pricing also good and overall taste is very good also they have seating available for family and friends π overall very good experience
Good food, but wont reccomend in covid times. Too crowded
Nice place in nehru place Market. Good quality served.
Worst food worst experience dont come ever better eat roadside
Very crowded usually. Variety of food and sweets available. Reasonably priced.
One of the best place to sit, and have tasty and delicious food. What more I can say, here I visited with my group atleast 9 times in last 2 months. My favourite one is Dahi k kabab. Keep it up guys.
One of best option in nehru place for Tasty and Delicious Lunch and Snacks during office hours with neat and clean surrounding.
It is nice sweet shop where you can dine and pack sweets and confectionery items. It is situated in Nehru Place Computer Market
Awesome Restaurant and Amritsari Kulcha with pindi chole and dal makhani is best hereππ which costs 150Rs. approx. Restaurant is complete safe with respect to Covid-19. Hands were also sanitised by the staff. In dessert, i prefer to go for Rabri Faluda which costs approx. 120 Rs.
The famed restaurant situated in the heart of Nehru place is no longer what it used to be.Food is not delicious anymore and prices have been hikedNo precautions like placing a sanitizer at the entrance or temperature check of customers entering the placeBest avoided
Nice tasty restaurant which keep you inflated during shopping in Asias biggest IT market.
Nice khana
Taste is very good. But it may little bit of costly for you( depend on person to person). As you know situated in prime location. But in middle of tech shops a restro doesnt suit, should be at the corners. South Indian food is available with original taste and pot of sweet options also there. People also like paratha here.
0food quality is degrading day by day. (Edit) never try the chhole bhathure the worst i had in my entire life in terms of quality and taste price too. Even the road side thele wala makes good chhole bhature and price is also way higher...the guy also serves panner with chhole bhatoore π‘π‘ which i returned when taken the plate..only the south indian food is good in terms of quality and taste.
Took chhola batura worth 126 rupies and believe me you can get better taste at footpath stall....worst experience ever.
Sona sweets is a good and hygiene restaurant in nehru place... All eating items are available here
Good place for quick snacks . Located in the middle of market therefore lot of crowding. Though the quality of food is not compromised.
Awesome sweet like kolkata in delhi...
Billing counter staff dont even know how to behave with customers ....very bad behaviour as they are offering things for free
Its quick on service with self-service and prices are on the high side. You wait for a vacant place if caught in peak time rush. But with no alternative, you have to bear it. Itd be better to pack things and eat at leisure at your place, at your pace. Menu is varied though. If youre short on time & money keep away !
I took veg biryani from there the rice quality was not good and paneer was not fresh paneer was little bit hard like rubber .... at that time i was very hungery but still i ate only half of the paneer cube due to quality issue i left all paneer cubes in plate and eat rice only atleast rice helped me little to fulfill my hunger as well as price was little higher.. thats y i stopped eating from there atleast mcd (Near SATYAM LASER CINEPLEX) burger was a better option as they are fresh n from trustable source with genuine price
