This place is very known and famous for its delicacies in Tandoori and Gravy Items for both veg and non veg items. Their Non Veg thali contains ample of food which is super Sumptuous. The Butter Chicken is sooo good in taste. Chicken Rara is a bit Spicy with awesome taste. I also tried their Bhatti Chaap which was juicy and tangy as well. Chicken seekh kebabs were sooo droolworthy and tasty. Loved this place !

Visited this restaurant after a gap of almost 15 years for lunch.. located within the sarojini nagar market.. the restaurant was clean.. and service was prompt.. we ordered vegetarian thali and saag mutton with tandoori rotis.. saag mutton was very good and went along very well with the hot crispy rotis..

Mutton seekh Kebabs were the best I ever had from this place . Very different from all the places , I had seen the pics on instagram and ordered from here , surely delighted by the taste. I could have it as a snack and a bread also . Disposables were given as per request . The packing was excellent too .

Have heard so much about Amar Jyoti Sarojini nagar.finally visited yesterday. Must be a first visit to any dine in restaurant post 2020 March . Loved the dal makhani .. Seekh kebabs and tandoori chicken . Dal was awsome , had it for the first time in Delhi and was amazed to see the size of the garlic Naan. Would love to visit again to try other delicacy . Specially mutton maincourse dishes.

Visited this wonderful restaurant a little while ago and had a great dine-in experience.We tried a variety of their veg & non veg dishes like Paneer tikka, tandoori chicken, masala seekh, dal makhni & kadai paneer.All the items were fresh & flavourful. If you are a nonveg food lover then dont miss out on their masala seekh, they are amazing and the best i have had.Kadai paneer and dal makhni will give you one the best taste in terms of Punjabi food and goes amazingly well with their garlic butter naan which was really amazing in taste.In starters we also tried their paneer tikka and tandoori chicken, both of which were good in taste.In terms of food quality and taste, this is one of the best restaurants in delhi.Service was quick and staff was courteous, would surely recommend this outlet and would visit again to try their other delicacies :)

The ambience was pretty normal and ordered chicken gravy momos and chicken noodle. The momos were great and taste amazing. Noodles were average. The price I felt was a little high but it was nice to experience.

Recently ordered lip smacking north Indian food from this great restaurant. Totally loved both the dishes. I ordered dal makhani and makhani veg chaap. Dal was really very creamy and chaap was really soft brilliant in taste. Packaging was spill proof. Quantity and quality both were amazing. Looking forward to try different dishes from the menu in future.

Was craving Chinese since a really long time so thought of trying out amar jyoti since its old and legendary!And I was not disappointed. Loved the spring rolls with the spicy sauce that came along with it. Itbwas love at first sight. Crispy and delicious filling.The dry manchurian was also a treat for the soul and for the craving as well. Loved it.

Best place for north Indian food , you should try this place out they serve a variety of dishes . I would recommend to try their seekh both mutton and chicken . One of the finest places to have North Indian food though they have South Indian and Chinese Dishes doing great, their north Indian dishes are something Exceptionally Good, The food quality and quantity is so Fascinating that you come here again and again without any second thoughts have any dish, you will be surprised with the delicious flavours. I love their seekh kebab biryani, butter chicken and tandoori chicken are my absolute favourites here and their mutton saag wala is a blissful add on! I tried momo, singapori chowmin and egg fried rice.Momo were just okay okay.Chowmin was not even close to for what It was named.Egg fried rice this was good.Overall the experience was not good in terms of taste and the price were high compared to other restaurant.

Rajinder dhaba has always been our go to place for a quick non-veg. But last evening we decided to try from Amar Jyoti , Sarojni Nagar. I was there sometime back and Naina had also enjoyed their food during Durga pujo. The seekh kebab tawa is fantastic. You can get to know the taste and preparedness of the kebab, the moment you plunge a bite and get to taste mutton. The kebab has been cooked perfectly and the spices cooked along with the seekh in tawa makes the dish all the more delicious! I love gurda kapure and they make the best in town. Sorry Tanmeet Singh Arora for not letting you know about us deciding to order from your resturant; but we thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered and we promise to be a regular customer too! 🙂

Went to this place yesterday with my pals. The food was so amazing. Service was so fast and the staff was so courteous.Truly a perfect place to hangout with your family and friends.I really loved their channa masala and the paneer tikka.Seekh kebab and tandoori chaap were also tasty much.Loved their daal tadka as well.You can totally depend on their food.

I ordered some starters from here after seeing thier instagram page . The pictures of seekh kebab , tandoori momos , tandoori chicken were really tempting. It was a direct order and they sent me the order in time , nicely packed . Lots of masala in the Tandoori chicken , and it was juicy and delicious , one of the best I had . The Tandoori Momos were superb , they are not in the regular menu yet , they prepare them on request . The Seekh Kebab were equally good , juicy and delicious . I really loved the food experience.

It was shopping time at Sarojni nagar marker after spending 3hrs we were hungry and wanted to have some sold food and then we saw 60yrs old restaurant named Amar jyoti restaurent located in main market.without wasting any further time we ordered their signature starters which was mutton seekh kabaab, chicken malai tikka, both were really tasty honestly both starters was much better than any other restaurants. we also ordered their veg thaali which had aalu gobhi daal makhni, panner rice laccha partha salad and rayta and this thali was worth ordering, aalu gobhi won my heart.apart from this i had chicken rara and arhar daal, which was equally good as their starters.so i love to recommend this place for vegetarians and as well as non-vegetarian, food is excellent so whenever you are around sarojni nagar don’t miss this restaurant.Thanks Team Amar jyoti ❤️

This place is one of the oldest restaurant in sarojini nagar and is truly serving one of the best indian food around that area. For this time we had bhatti chaap tikka which was tangy and soft.For the mains we ordered for their special chana masala, dal makhani and tawa paneer, the one thing I liked the most was that they do have a different recipe for their tawa items not like any other place.For breads we had garlic naan(their signature) and onion kulcha.One in all the meal I had that day was one of the best indian food experiences Ive had in a long time!Recommended to all.

So entered to find it quite crowded.The place is decent and I quickly ordered a Masala Chaach , which was very refreshing and delicious. Prepared fresh . Later hasmd the Veg Thali which was an amazing meal. Dal makhani , Shahi paneer , Aloo Gobhi , Raita , paranthas , salad and Rice . Everything was delicious .Surely coming back again for more .

They have quite a lovely menu and must have when visiting sarojini market . We tried pudina paratha ..chicken rahra .. chicken lemon coriander soup and sheikh kebab. All were too good . The soup we tried was so unique in flavour , nothing like any other soup i have had.

I visit this restaurant since my college days, as Sarojini nagar was my second home.😁🙈As usual it was jam packed. We had- Paneer Tikka, Chicken Tikka, Spring Rolls & Hakka Noodles. Everything was damn yumm. Chicken tikka was so juicy and scrumptious,, i cant define with words.. must must try. Paneer was so soft of paneer tikka.. yummylicious. Spring rolls and Hakka noodles were too good. I even tried other dishes of this place, which were equally good.😃In drinks my had butter scotch shake and fresh lime soda.. Woah! Too good! Best scotch shake I ever had. And perfect mix of lemon, soda, sugar in fresh lime soda. 😃👌🏼If you never visited this place till now, than you need to try. Must must try.

Veg Thali priced at 220 was a bit expensive and didnt taste good too. Dal makhni was normal kaali daal and not makhni one which a person would expect. Shahi paneer was too sour. Mix veg tasted like a home made matar aloo.

I visited them on 12th April, 2021 and would like to share that their services are really unhygienic and the staff including the owner is so unprofessional. Please avoid visiting them. I ordered 2 glass of lassi and 1 chicken momos and their prices were like 3 star hotel. They charged 140Rs for 2 glass of lassi ( Rs.70 / 1 glass lassi ) and 170 rs for chicken momos .The lassi was full of water. Infact I think they added 2 spoon of curd in 1 glass of water for lassi and even the chicken was old in the chicken momos. The restaurant looks good from the outside but when youll enter inside youll see that bugs and bees are flying all over the restaurant which is really unhygienic.In total my bill was 140+170 = 310 but I had to pay 336 because they charge GST on top of this very expensive bill.Please avoid visiting them as they are thug.

This is one of the very few local restaurants that serves amazing non vegetarian dishes, excellent service by the staff I was confused what to order and their suggestions were really helpful! I had chicken rhaara & butter naans. It doesnt look too fancy but the food is amazing, prices are genuine, service time is average and overall I would love to come here again. It was a nice experience!

I have booked my table on amar jyoti restaurant on dineout. They put their different menu on dineout and didnt inform, moreover my booking was showing to the owner, also he didnt inform me about different menu.I have purchased a 50% coupon and by any chance i have ordered food from the main restaurant menu, so he didnt regard about my booking on dineout neither gave any discount nor told me about the menu after seeing my booking though. Also the prices are too high,My bill was 1234 rs and i thought it will be half from this because of 50% coupon. They are clearly making their money by not informing customer about restaurants 2 menus.

Liked it but not up to that extent! Food is fine and a bit expensive coz the menu is without taxes. Like for veg thali it costs 195, and total will b around 225. You can find better thalis at lower rates. However, it is there is sarojini market and perhaps the only restaurant. Otherwise you can have burgers and pizzas at other outlets there like burger king, Mc D etc. Or you can go to haldiram instead.And the service was also not too good.

Last night I ordered a starter and a main course dish from Amarjyoti restaurant. Dal makhani and laccha parantha was fresh and delivered hot with an amazing combination of spices it tasted really well. The chinese dish chilli paneer momos were unbeatable at taste as I never had something so drooling that in terms of quality and quantity uncompromised.

The ambience is very nice and now they also serve south Indian food. And they have extended their menu with Chinese and south Indian and north Indian. Youll find possibly every item there. Although, prices are bit on high side. But staff service and good quality justify it.

Average place to have lunch while you are shopping at Sarojni. The service is really slow.

Its a good place if you like food that is not served fresh. The cutlery offered was not cleaned properly. The food was below par at best. I ordered Chicken Biryani and Butter chicken (boneless) the Biryani smelled and the Butter chicken had excess oil (a trait this restaurant has). Do yourself a favour and do try some other better restaurants in this specific area

I ate dinner there in night... the food was not Higenic... i suffered from food poisoning after ate there....

Very good food.. very good management.. only issue is there is no washroom in restaurant.. and rates are bit on higher side... But quantity is good

This is a restaurant in sarojini Nagar so you can expect it to be crowded most of the time. The food was great and it can be a great recharge for somebody who has spent the entire day simply shopping in the nearby market. The shop owner was really friendly and would ensure that you have a great experience there.
