No value of Emergency Ward they refer to another department . Here no they do not care of Patient & just being inhuman nature to every patient also Nursing station staff on duty is irresponsible their approach towards the visitor is very rude and arrogant . they are only concentrated towards their own register work getting completed, it does not matter to them If patient will be die or feel pain during their course of activities - the primary purpose of the emergency ward is defeated as this the state of this so called EMERGNCY WARD .

One of my close relative was admitted to this hospital for 2 weeks. Am sharing feedback which if taken positively can help improve.Doctors are good ...support staff needs improvement and hygiene / condition is poor.there are multiple wards and based on ward number they will give a helpline number , alternatively few ppl have given handset to their patients aswell. Food /tea /snacks are provided at regular times ,except there is hardly anyone to feed you or motivate you to eat your medicines so most of these go to trash.Discharge-this review will be incomplete with this portion.there is no formal way to get CMO..who sits in 56 and 42, but unfortunately no one knows--kindly take entry from OPD gate to get to his office.Eventually, it is what you pay for !

My mother admitted here on 22nd April. We gave her phone but it got discharged within 2-3 days so we request medical staff to help her so that we could call her.But the phone never charge. As we know the hospital condition is not so good so we call on ward phone 2/3 times a day. They only gave us false information that your patient is stable. But the things getting worsen. On 29th April We tried to call them multiple times but they never pick our phone. Around 11PM they call us and said like your patient condition is severe and were trying to get her into ICU but ICU beds are full. But on Delhi covid app it was showing around 20 beds were available. After an hour they declare my mother was no more. Next morning when we were checking the things we were sending to the ward which includes( food, coconut water, milk, juice etc.) it was just packed as it is. In short they didnt even provide food, water to the patient. My mother Oxygen saturation was 88 when we admitted her to the hospital but it goes down to 50 inside hospital. you can imagine how they treat patients. My mother is no more but it is not due to Covid but it is only because of Lack of Treatment and medical staff behaviour.

We all are aware of on going pandemic and the chaotic circumstances around the world and in our locality. hospitals condition also deteriorated as COVID-19 patients increased. i would suggest to be in home if you or any of your family members show mild symptoms then plz avoid to visit hospital if there condition in normal. start treatment in home as per governments guideline for home quarantine patients. buy a oximeter to monitor oxygen level of patients and visit hospital only if oxygen level decreasing at the denger level.doctors and health worker are doing their best , however they are also a human being so over expectation at this would further depress you.be positive if infected with covid-19, no need to panic with the reality. and positivity will help you to recover fastly with this pandemic. i am saying this because i was positive with covid 19 and became negative in 6 day with normal treatment. i am still in self quarantine to be 100 % sure that the virus which was inside me is completely harmless for anyone.

My father was admitted to this hospital on 19th April for covid treatment . His saturation was low. There is no care given to the patient in this hospital. They dont even give food and water to the patient. My fathers phone got discharged on 23rd April. I submitted powerbank and charger to the hospital but it never reached my father. I asked hospital staff multiple time to switch on my fathers phone but they never helped.they didnt help me to contact my father.. There helplines never worked. There helpdesk dont respond . On 26th April, 3:40a.m they called to tell that my father is no more. They didnt even return the things my father had in the hospital like his phone. They dont just have careless staff but also thieves. There is no humanity left in the staff of this hospital. Doctors are considered as god but in this hospital doctors proved the statement wrong.

It was envisioned as a teaching affiliate to University College of Medical Sciences and as such it can trace its history parallel to that of UCMS.UCMS was founded in 1971, due to the efforts of the Health Minister of New Delhi. It was proposed by the minister to provide medical education to every student who attained the eligibility criteria and wished to become a doctor. The criteria being stringent (minimum 60% aggregate), but it still caused a 100 or so students to be left out, even with the presence of two Medical Colleges in Delhi – MAMC and LHMC. That year classes began in the makeshift Department of Chemistry, Delhi University, North Campus. This was to become the UCMS of tomorrow. It then started having its clinical postings (practicals) at Meerut Medical College. Shortly, it was shifted to Safdarjung Hospital in South Delhi. In 1986, it shifted to its present location at Dilshad Garden and was associated with Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, a 1000 bedded institution, as its teaching hospital. Thus GTBH actually became functional in 1986 though construction was over in 1979 and some departments began functioning before 1987.

The campus is enormous and it has its own cancer institute. There are big grounds and people from the area can be seen jogging and exercising in the morning. A lot of youngsters come in the campus to play cricket or exercise everyday. This hospital has all the medical facilities that must be there in a hospital and the patients are treated well
