One of the best kalu bari I have been to. The only problem is that of parking. You have to park your vehicle further down from temple near market.

Durga puja is celebrated every year at Matri Mandir, Safdarjang Enclave, New Delhi-110029 with lot of enthusiasm. Even though entrance today pandal is narrow and not enough car parking spaces around, this Durga puja is quite famous in Delhi.

Matri Mandir is an old Kali Temple, every year Durga Puja being celebrated there. This year pandal theme is Jorasako Thakur Baari, the residence of Rabindranath Tagore. In addition to puja celebration, evening cultural programme is a major attraction wherein, leading Artists from Kolkata are invited to perform, not to miss the mouthwatering bengali snacks corners all around.

I love to visit Matri Mandir on a regular basis , it is very well maintained and managed. Persons in the management seem to know their work well , It would be a really good experience if one visits the temple during Durga pooja festival !

I visited here for the Durga puja. And it was my first visit here. For Matri Mandir,you have to leave at Bhikaji Kama . Just ask for Matri mandir from customer care. They will guide you the exit. Because I dont remember :P It took me 10 mins to reach there. I was lucky enough to witnessed the Puja. And it was mesmerizing.

A temple complex and a Dharamshala maintained in the Mandir premises. The Temple complex is adorned by idols of Maa Kali, Lord Shiva and Lakshmi Narayan. Nitya puja and various rituals are convened by accomplished and revered priests.  The Dharamshala provides comfortable and hygienic accommodation to the boarders/ visitors.

Didnt know it to be a Bengali temple.. as soon as I entered I found Ramakrishna photograph and then we went up and had darshana of mata rani! Must be extremely beautiful during Navratri season..

The theme for Durga Puja 2017 at Matri Mandir is Women Empowerment. The art works are amazing. Idol of Ma Durga is very beautiful.Special queues for resident guests for collecting prasads would have been good. It can be paid even. But the resident also had to stand in a very long queue.

It is a Kali Mata temple ,with lodgings. It is very peaceful . Rooms here cost from ₹700-₹1800 / night. They have a canteen which offers non vegetarian food too.

Splendid...one of the oldest kali bari temple in South Delhi Safdarjung Enclave... Parking can be an issue as its mostly crowded by devotees for darshan and being surrounded by residential area at times can be jammed due to multiple vehicle movements. Overall be there for all major pujas- Durga Puja, Kali Puja, Saraswati Puja.... Etc. Managed beautifully by the working management..

Well maintained temple of Kali Mata, associated with a hotel run by the same trustee. The hotel houses various rooms according to the requirement. There are rooms with common toilets and are relatively cheaper. Rent for rooms for 24hrs are AC Rs. 1400/-, Non AC attach bath Rs. 900/-, AC common bath Rs. 900/-, Non AC common bath Rs. 700/-, Non AC quadrupole occupancy common bath Rs. 900/-. Canteen on the ground floor servers breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner with corresponding payment. But the food is a bit costly. Other than tourist people undergoing treatment at AIIMS prefer to stay here as this place is very near to the hospital.

This was good place to visit. Enjoyed my time there.

One of the best places to be during Durga Puja.... It is located near B2 Market, Safdarjung Enclave.The best part is they even have very very basic accomodation facility available at nominal rates n at first come first serve basis.It also has a good canteen where you can buy the every special breakfast/lunch at normal rates.... The food of the canteen was really good earlier, but now it has gone down slightly. Needs improvement.

Went there during Durga Puja, just like any other popular Puja Pandals of New Delhi it was crowded, but unlike other areas parking wasnt an issue here. Cultural programme here during Durga Puja is an added attraction.

During Durga Puja the place gets crowded in high intensity because of its architecture, design and statue of Mata.It is better to drop at Sector 2, R. K. Puram bus stop as it is nearest to the place. During Puja it is not difficult to reach there because there are sign boards and many people could be seen walking there.
