Im in love with this outlest for non vegetarian food items. If youre looking for a comfortable place, good food and reasonable price. You should try in Afghanistan food and as compared to all Afghani restaurants this restaurant Afghani Darbar serve amazing quality food. If you are reading my review then trust me you will not regret spending you harden money in afghan Darbar and moreover after eating super delicious food and when you will get bill you will thank me for writing this and it is pocket friendly. The kebabs were great and so was the rice which came with free beans and eggplant dishes. The soup was not piping hot and wouldve tasted great if it was also chopan was literally lip smacking and few other gravy dishes are also best and overall nice environment with decent food which is not the cheapest but neither is it super expensive. 1000 rupees for 3 person is not bad at all infact the best deal in Delhi these days.
I just love the place. The food was great and everything was value for money. If you are looking to try new cuisine then this place is nothing less than an heaven.Mutton tikka is a must from our side. The side dishes were great,so was the green tea.The quantity was also decent for its price.Overall a must try for all non veg lovers!
Afghan darbar authentic Afghani food in the heart of delhi very authentic setting served and made by real Afghani people the food was amazing we had the famous chopan Mutton kabab and boti mutton kabab both were very juicy and well marinated with very less spices so that u can get taste of mutton not spices amazing, the qorma look little reddish but was very subtle and non spicy made in tomato and onion the mutton used was bong pieces it was very tender and very well cooked the taste was very nice they give their famous Afghani nan free with every dish and as much you want, the Kabuli mutton pulao was the prime focus of the meal without it an Afghani meal would be incomplete the pulao was filled with raisins, carrot and again the super tender mutton bong meat all the dishes were amazing and was very less spicy they were very rich and heavy but very light in terms of spices which is the best partDefinitely give it try than u dont have to visit AfghanistanShaikh affan
Loved the food especially uzbeki pulao. It was of a great taste. Interior is good. I tried many dishes everything was perfectly cooked and the most important is that the food is cooked with low spices. But the staff is not well skilled and lag some hospitality skills. Behaviour with customer wasnt as good as food was. They can improve that if they want.
Service is kind of poor and Afghan nan is dry (certainly not good for indian food lover)
Afghan Darbar is situated in a very decent and its not the single Afghan restaurant in this area as there are so many other places also who are offering same kind of dishes inspired by Afghanistan. So I had taken mutton gosht and roti which costed me rupees 290.limited amount of spices where used and it was not like Indian dish.Hospitality is amazing as asked me whether I liked this dish or not.the places I was decent if you are looking for your family and friends to be with you.
Outstanding quality and flavours, the mutton kabuli pulav and kebabs are outstanding and. A must try for its texture and flavours.
The food at Afghan Darban is worth the money and its fame. Kind of pricey but the service and ambience is on an other level. Will recommend to anyone who wants to try Afghani food here at New Delhi. Worth revisiting again.
We just went there. A friend suggested. The food was good, different and not spicy. One time experience. Not like any other hotel food.
I visited this restaurant for the first time. This restaurant is located in Lajpat Nagar, which I had been watching from outside for many days, but I had finished eating food here.I ate Afghan food for the first time, I had ordered in this restaurant:1. Qorma Murgh2. Qubuli Uzbaki3. Tandoori Kabab4. Dogh BottleI was served cold Qorma Murgh and Tandoori Kababs. I had eaten for the first time that I did not know how they serve Afghan food. I told the waiter that food was served cold, so he said that we should have told earlier. ( Suggestion for restaurant owner that the food should served hot and fresh ). The Tandoori Chicken seemed settled as it was not fresh. I also spoke to the manager of your restaurant, he told me that we have cameras installed here, this does not happen here. I want to say that you see the camera, But the food that is being served to the customer was pathetic, visit the kitchen itself in every order you will get to know how your chefs are serving. But I found an Afghan dish very tasty, well cooked rice and aromatic named Qubuli Uzbaki I really liked this dish. And yes I asked for a discount from your manager, They refused me. I did not like it. You should give a discount to your customers as nowadays the condition of work is worse. You do not greet the customer well. Neither the manager nor the staff of yours. Your waiter and the manager did not have a mask, teach your staff well. I am dissatisfied with this things. My money wasted coming here. I neither got a taste nor I get good food. This is minus point here they take cash and you do not take debit card and Google Pay or Paytm. Think if I do not have a debit card nor cash then how do you take money? It is useless to give cash There is a risk of getting the disease. After all coronavirus disease is going on. Make your restaurant cashless in this pandemic. Those who like less spices food they can visit here.Hopefully you will do your service well and give tasty food and serve fresh and hot.
As per as the place is concerned, they have -1 floor but that was a little suffocated. But about the food things are cheap and best in taste. I had fish tikka, chicken tikka, mutton tikka, uzbeki rice with these they gve complimentary rotis, the size u all can see in the images. And we get complimentary green tea at the starting and rajma and baigan ka bharta with uzbeki rice.Overall the food is good but they dnt provide u green chatni with these roasted items, so i definitely miss that.Do try it once atleast.
The last experience at this restaurant was not really good. The kebabs were cold. Only enjoyed sheer yakh.
We had dinner yesterday and the mutton was not rhat tasty as the chicken. Mutton was little hard. Afghani bread was good but was not the best. Prices are in middle.
Delicious food, great service. Its very clean and hygienic.Highly recommend.
Seating was nice and comfortable, but idk why AC was not working and no alternative to AC was there like wall fan or ceiling fan. Waiter served me well but frozen food was served (disappointment).
Food was just OK as they are casual while serving and dont bother about customer experience and feedback. There is no one who would address your concerns or greivance. The owner is arogant and would not even listen to you. Moreover, they dont accept cards and force you to pay in cash or Paytm.
Best place. Highly recommended. Must visit atleast once in your life.💞
Afgan Darbar is nice restaurant situated within heart of Lajpat Nagar part 2, Afgani colony. Menu in this restaurant is full of Afgani delicacy and some indian dish as well. I have tried Mutton Chopan kabab and Qabuli Uzbeki. Mutton choppan kabab is kabab made of goat rib, its very delicious and mouth watering dish. Now come to Qabuli Uzbeki has basmati rice with mutton and chna. As they say its Afgani biryani. It is served with Rajma, Nan and boiled baigan masala. The one only important drawback is this restaurant takes cash only. So I did not like that as this is Covid days, I prefer cashless. If you want to go for dinner keep some cash with you. 1000 rupees is good for 2 people.
Must try - Qabuli Uzbeki, Chicken KadhaiBest thing about Afghani cuisine is that they have mild spices and yet full of taste.
Loved the food plus prices are very reasonable .. apart from Afghani dishes try Al falham the spices used in its making are quite diffrent from ones we indians are accustomed to eat ...it was super tasty highly recommended pocket friendly restaurant
Have Been Eating Afghani Biryani (Uzbeki) From A Very Long Time And Biryani Taste The Same1 star Less.. Reason Being Mantu Here Always Change Like Always Different So The Restaurant Needs To Maintain The Consistency
Food is good but at times they dont serve well just because there are customers waiting. They try to wind up things quickly.
Nice meals and very humble staff...Recommended for everyone
Food is tasty no doubt 😋 quantity is very good and rates are decent
Heard people talking about this place a number of times. But My experience in this restaurants was not at all good. The food was not well cooked and didnt taste good. Every thing was so oily. Kebabs were good but the chicken korma here was the worse I had today
A beautiful place to relish the pure and mouth watering afghan delicacies.
Loved Kabuli uzbeki❤️👍 for the staff and the ambience
Food wasnt good at all..A person who eats proper mughlai food wouldnt like it.. i prefer you go to Sandoz or smthng Kareems or Qureshis..
Available all afgani items and service is fine... price is best.
Nice clean ambience... good afghani food
If youre looking for an amazing light spicy, fulfilling non vegetarian food, Afgani cuisine is suitable for you. You can try chopan mutton kebabs, qorma, and kadhai dishes perfect taste and balanced with experience. The rice with lamb is also good. Worth a visit!
Went for takeaway food. Dishes have been modified due to lack of ingredients from Afghanistan, but food quality remains good.
A place to enjoy good food...nen-veg afgani dishes....specially chopan kabab
One of its kind , Kebab and Butter milk is a must try . Green tea and Black tea are bottom less serve , unlimited free
Its a great place to have authentic Afghan cuisine, specially Faham and Afghan Uzbeki.
Lovely place everything was to good 😊 you will enjoy the Afgani food
A very special experience for me and my wife. Enjoyed the afghani food in this restaurant very much. I personally enjoyed the ambience too, the songs they played was nice. Coming to the food, the chicken soup was very good, the masala that was spread on it tasted amazing. The chicken tikka kebab was very delicious. To top all that we had the amazing Qubuli Uzbaki - the raisins gave the dish the perfect amount of sweetness.
Serving food is delayed and prices need to be reviewed for the best
Great food and ambience! The staff was very friendly and warm!
Warm ambience, dielicious food. Had a great time.
Located in Central Market Lajpat Nagar - This place is really cheap when it comes the pricing. The ambience is ok . They generally play Afghan music which adds to the feeling. The menu is simple and authentic. Food is awsome , the meat is cooked just right, spices are just right and not at all dominant on the meat. Service really sucks otherwise would have rated them 5.
Have visited in 2019. So delicious food and price is very reasonable.. Had mutton kabab and few dishes.. Wanna visit again when I will be in Delhi..
Must try here, the Mutton Chopan Kebab.Amazing food, wonderful serving staff. Five minutes walking distance from Metro Station.
Food was really great and seating was Perfect with middle east background music
Agfhani naans are quite hard.
If you will search for good Afgahni restaurant you will find Afghan Durbar also, yesterday we were here and want to share honest review. We ordered chopan kabab, sheer- yakh, kadhai chicken, Uzbeki pulao and mantu. After waiting for almost 1hr, food was there. We were almost done with food then we asked for mantu, waiter said it is finished. Staff is not all attentive. Coming to food section- food is good 👍 and above all bill was around 1200 for 6 person, that is quite good. For food must try
Amazing, tasty food and on top of it reasonable price...Must visit place.
Good place for dine.. specially kababs....
My husband and I came here for lunch and really enjoyed it. Wish the curries werent quite so oily, but everything was delicious.
Superb food.. little long wait but worth it..
Great Afghan food and ambience. Must try.
A second visit after many years, quality is still good. Authentic Central Asian fare. Low on spices, great on taste.
Small cosy place, nice atmosphere, Afghani interior, lovely food, authentic Afghani.
Over priced food and half baked chopan kababs
Best afghan food at reasonable rates
Authentic afgani food to fill your tummy and soul. What else does anyone wants. Also do try their Uzbek pulao. Cant have enough of it.
The restaurant is located in Lajpat nagar market. The restaurant’s ambience is good. The food is really authentic. You can’t find it anywhere else. Whenever I visit Delhi, I use to go to this restaurant. Some of the must try items: Baklawa, Mutton seekh, Afghani zafran rice. One of the best place to find afghani food. Thank you.
