Kadyavarcha Ganpati ( Nisargacha Raja)A majestic Lord Ganesha idol carved out of a single boulder, Kadyavarcha Ganpati is a popular tourist attraction in the hill-station of Matheran. The word ‘Kada’ means edge in the native language Marathi and so, this idol gets its name because it is located on the edge of a mountain. Beautifully painted with vibrant colors, this idol impresses the visitors with its huge size. A short trek takes the hikers to this spot. During monsoons, the views this spot offers leaves the visitors breathless!How to reach : From Neral station board sharing cab to Matheran. Get down at 136point ( Toy train marking). Start walking on toy train track to 158point which is just 2km.

The only station which encompasses its way to the Matheran. The station is relatively small and less crowded compared to metropolitan cities like Pune or Mumbai but has all the facilities and amneties of a hill station.

Very nice station and tourist attractions...Unhappy to see that the toy train has been stopped now to Matheran...and missed the fun..But overall good place..

The junction is neat and clean. Trains are good. There is police station out of the station. But if we miss the train you have to wait 30min for the next train. Because of neral juction is far and the 2 station are far. That why it get time to reach. So dont miss the train check on m-indicator about the train timings so that u can reach on time.

Too crowdy place as there is matheran junction. only one foot over bridge to cross platform.Local taxiwalas force you on platform to take their taxi for matheran and hotels. Even TC never stops them. Please be careful while traveling there.

The station has excellent connectivity on the Karjat-Mumbai route, but even on a Saturday with peak tourist rush, most of the booking counters were closed. Had to cross the platform just to book the ticket because we found two counters closed. Locals are generally on time.To reach Matheran from Neral, there are taxis that ply from outside the station for Rs 80 per head.

Its a small station. The frequency of train is really low - trains to CST are almost at interval of one hour.

If you want to go Matheran hill station then get down at Neral railway station ( Dont get confused with Nerul station which is on Harbour line). From here you can get sharing vehicle for Matheran. Per person sharing was Rs. 80 in April 2017.Toy train for Matheran starts from this station.
