Awesome place from Narendra Nagar 5 km of adventures driving on the hill, and then you reached kunja puri temple, And then we shout Mata ke Jaikare , after climbing 250-300 approx stairs and then you reach to bhawan, that was good place, Aseem Astha ka anubhav hoga, Have Darshan, take rest , I suggest to stay there for 2-3 hours. Jai Mata di.
Very peaceful and full of serenity😇Awesome weather and spectacular view.Just beware of monkeys. They ste quite notorious there and will snatch your Prasad in the blink of an eye.
I often take my tourists to Kunjapuri Temple for sunrise view and downhill trek.. the temple location is awesome you gaze greater Himalayans peaks and the running sunrise view over the snowcapped peaks
Awesome place and siddh peeth. One should must visit there if you can reach there before sun rise then you should try and watch sun rise from the top otherwise you can visit there any comfortable time and meditate and worship.
One of the ancient siddhapeeth of goddess Durga...very ambient view and cool foggy solitary location....All must visit..nearby rishikesh quick approach..
Very powerful temple of goddess durga. The brest of goddess sati was fallen here, and hence became the siddh peeth. Awesome view of surroundings from the temple. I have visited this temple 15 years ago for the first time. And now it has been completely changed/renovated.
Nice location but now days its going to be for buisness purpose.crowded too much
Narrow motorable road leading to temple and the 20 mins walk.
Kunjapuri Devi Temple is sacred temple of immense importance in Hindu religion. Located at an height of 1676 mtrs on a hill, Kunjapuri Devi Temple is one of the 52 Shaktipeeth in Uttarakhand. Kunjapuri Devi Temple also offers panoramic views of snow capped mountains and peaks such as Swarga Rohini, Gangotri, Banderpunch and Chaukhamba.Lord Vishnu split Satis body (after Goddess Sati fell into the fire at Daksha Yagna), into 52 pieces with his Sudarshan Chakra. Wherever a piece of Satis body fell on the earth, those places became known as Siddha Peethas or Shakti Peethas (centers of knowledge or power). The upper part of his body, i.e. Kunja, fell at the place which is today known as Kunjapuri. It is counted among the Shaktipeeths .The simple white entrance of the temple displays a board stating that it has been gifted to the temple by the 197th Field Regiment (Kargil). Three hundred and eight concrete stairs reach the temple. There is no statue in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple - there is a pit - it is said that this is the place where the Kunja fell. It is worshiped here, while a small statue of the Goddess is placed in a corner. The temple complex has an idol of Lord Shiva as well as statues of Bhairon, Mahakali Nagaraja and NarasimhaKunjapuri Devi Temple completes the triangle of 3 Siddha peethas lying in the Garhwal district : Kunja Puri - Surkanda Devi - Chandrabadni. Must try to have darshan of all these temples.
