This is worth visiting place at Narayanpur. This is Swayambhu Shiva temple called as Narayaneshwar Mahadev temple. This is very old temple. Made up of stone. Very artistic. Stone construction is very nice & one wonders how such beautiful temples were built by our ancestors. All pillars in the temple are beautiful. Though carvings is missing in the temple, it attracts us due to its hugeness , design & structure. Garbhgriha door panel is more artistic & dwarpaal idols are simply beautiful. In garbhgriha Shivling is entirely different. It is Swayambhu but deep at middle with Jyoti inside. It is worth observing the different & unique shivling. Bronze Nandi is in sabhamandap while old stone Nandi is outside temple. Temple premises is very big having deepmala, big trees at entrance. Some remains of outside old construction. Shikhara of temple is also differently carved. This temple is entirely newly painted. it may be to preserve the temple in good condition. However there will be diffrence of opinion whether it is adding to beauty of temple or it is distorting original beauty of temple. Temple main entrance in ruins & required some attention by authorities.

This shiva linga is covered by golden shiva-linga gifted to the temple by Shivaji Maharaj’s mother Jijabai.The temple has an ancient architecture inside & from outside which is similar as Mahabaleshwar temple including shivling which swayambhu inside a rock oozing out a continuous flow of water.

Ancient place a must visit. Feels devotional when inside thw temple no matter how hot the weather is outside inside the temple is always like sitting in Ac. This is a miracle to check. There is a self poring water point that keeps flowing inside the temple is the main attraction. Nice place to visit. Temple authority can try to keep the premises clean as it was not much during my visit.

This mahadev temple is there from very ancient times. The carving of the temple is done by the skilled labours or skilled architects of our Maharashtra. The structure of the temple is very unique of its kind and have importance for its uniqueness. One should visit it and should sit there for some time meditating which can refresh you from day to day work loads. After entering the main part of the temple it feels very fresh and the environment there is very very fresh.

Holy place of Mahadev situated in Narayanpur...Only about 7 Km from Saswad...Not so crowded on daily basis...Very peaceful place and ambience...So many Temples in surrounding areas...Lots of stores for buying Prasads and other stuff...Aarti every morning...Road is not so good to visit...Not that much parking area...Fort Purandar is very near from here...Must visit both the places...Prefer to go on bike...

Narayaneshwar Temple is 45 KM from Pune. This is a 2000 year old Mahadev temple. This is one of the ancient temples of India. It is near to Purandar fort. The Ling is Tripind and hidden and representative of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. The sculpture are said to be of Yadav era.

Visited on 24th Sept 2018 to get the darshan of Gurudev Datta. Very beautiful idol of Ek Mukhi Datta. Seeing the idol itself is being feeling of satisfaction of darshan

A beautiful Hemad Panthi styked Shri Mahadev Mandir.The Blackstoned Mandir is relatively small but at once serene once you enter inside.Inside Garbh gruh, a small Shivpindi arises from inside al pit in the black stone.After usual puja, it is usually convered with glass or Shiva Mukh ( Lord Shiva face in Silver).Must visit place when you are in Narayanpur.
