I loved this Zoo! A lot more animals then a couple years ago. I really enjoyed seeing the tigers and also got to make peace with one. Im a huge animal guy and this was a great place to visit. Definitely would recommend.
A nice but not very spectacular zoo. It has got a reasonably varied collection of animals, but not all cages are animal friendly. Maintenance could be better and many cages are empty. The zoo doesnt exhibit any of the innovations modern zoos have (walk-in forest with birds or butterflies, aquarium walls, mixed animal savannahs), but still, there is a lot to enjoy, from tigers to porcupines. Finally: it is very quiet!
No 5 stars because os the staff! At the entrance all nice and polite, inside a different story!Really clean and a great place for kids!
It was really interesting,i got to spend a great day with my family, but we didnt buy food cuz it was really pricey,so we bought our food by home
Reasonable price but I have to admit some of the enclosures were far too small, especially when compared to other zoos (Helsinki, Chester, etc) - one of the guinea pig babies had died and was just lying there next to all the others (Broke my heart), there were dozens of them in a very small space. Elephant and giraffes seemed happy. Big cats should definitely have more space.Take your own food if you can - overpriced (as zoo food places tend to be, in all fairness) and low quality.
Very nice nature park, animals habitat seems really curated and plus there are a lot of playing areas for kids.
Customer service is not the most polite but the place is fantastic
What a wonderful zoo! My last day in Naples after checking out of my hotel killing time until my flight was spent at Naples zoo. They even looked after my suitcase at the ticket office until I was finished looking around. The zoo is in a beautiful green oasis and considering that Naples has very few parks, this was a nice change from the graffiti littered streets of the city. The zoo is just the right size, not too big and not too small, and they have a wide range of animals that look well cared for. The 10 Euros entrance fee is also reasonable considering that many zoos charge much more. My advice is dont believe the negative reviews. This is a great zoo to visit and turned out to be a highlight of my week in Naples!
My family had a great day the only thing that was a little upsetting was that we saw a small piglet in distress, it had been segregated from the others , but I feel if my daughter hadnt become upset about the piglet the keeper wouldnt have done anything about it . Put that aside the zoo had some great animals for you to see and for only €10 each its good value for money
Pleasantly surprised by this zoo in the middle of Naples. The animals seem well cared for and though some of the enclosures are somewhat small, they are nice. There are a lot of different animals to see, and a couple of playgrounds throughout the zoo. There is also a café with good prices if you or the kids get hungry. I wish they had an annual membership though!
Amazing changes, clean and nice. The only thing is, they do not care of masks...if they have mask or not. And that is sad.
Fantastic Zoo.... Its small in size and they have a pretty good variety of animals. Its not extravagant, but very nice. My children loved it. Ill definitely come back next time Im in Naples.
A lot of different animals, which kind of surprised me a lot. The cages looked great and the animals seemed to be in a good shape. They had closed most of sales point for the season it seemed and most of the animals information were only in Italian. Bring mosquito spray if you are gonna visit.
Quite small with very few animals. Many empty cages and expensive food. We went on a very hot day and still managed to stay all afternoon because of the numerous benches, tables and shady places. Could do better infrastructure wise but for a short visit isnt too bad. If you are in Naples, you should have go especially with children.
Nice place for a short family visit. Compared to some other zoos we visited in Lisbon or Gdansk it looks a bit old, but you can see that some parts are newer and preserved nicely. This place needs more investment but otherwise its awesome for 1-2 hours visit.
The zoo is small, and tucked in in the middle of downtown Naples. Its easy enough to get there, and we arrived early, so parking wasnt a problem. The Animals were WAY more active in the beginning of the day, as thats when the Keepers start the morning feedings.Truthfully, some of the Animals need better care and feeding. The ponies DEFINITELY needed a combing, which I would do, if allowed (like in a petting zoo environment)! As it was, their manes and tails were severely matted.
Everything can be improved, especially some old places for animals, restilished but still old way. There were impressive improvements with the new owners. It is a nice walking in a green area. Not very big but a good place to spend half a day with children. I hope it will continue improving ever and ever eapecially: increasing the room for some hosts...especially the bear looks very sad. I liked to see the young biology students involved in the management, smiling and fully taken from their work.
Smallish Zoo but the children enjoyed it. There are no directions and its easy to miss enclosures. Most enclosures looked clean and tidy but some need renovation. They are working on the Zoo and some enclosures closed/empty.
A really nice pearl in the middle of the city. You will be transported in the deeply Africa, with lions, tigers, giraffes and so on. A really nice discover in Naples with more than 400 animals from all over the world.
Perfectoooo...
Small but nice. I love the white Tiger
Not very clean and lot of cage under renovation, picnic area shop menu was only in italy... no idea what was there available.North part of zoo was good but south part was hudge disapointment. Well i didnt expect more with 10 euro ticket.
Bigger than expected, lots of cool animals. Bring some mosquito spray tho, got eaten up
We had to survive one day in Naples (the city was a huge disappointment) before going back home and to keep our daughter happy and busy, we went to the zoo.Well, it doesnt blow your mind; its pretty small -- the cages are relatively small, although there are signs saying they are working to improve that. Theres a fair variety of animals, enough to keep a toddler occupied for about 2-3 hours. Some signs and labels have not been updated and therefore refer to wrong species.I must say I dont really like ZOOs but it served its purpose.
Nice small zoo
Just not that busy no staff around to make nice day out. Pain to get to from train. Good selection of animals just went to wrong time of week and year i’m guessing
Very nice place for weekend with the family
Very Nice place to visit with Kids. Several spettacolar Animals like White Tiger and lions. We also feed and played with guine pig; donkey and all factory animals. Unlikely when we went most all bar and Cafe where Closed and the sandwich we eat were no so Good. Anyway if you go there with picnic you could enjoy the parck and Animals!
Very nice medium size Zoo. Clean and not crowned... maybe cause of 10euro/person that discourage locals to go? Anyway it worth a visit
Horrible mistreatment of the animals! The cages as too small and dirty. I dont think the zoo are feeding the animal properly, because some of them looked really skinny. The zoo is also understaffed. I feel especially bad for the bear that seems really depressed. DONT GO THERE AND SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS IF YOU ARE DECENT HUMAN BEING!
Perfect family place
A good relax place for babies and adults.
Because I love nature and animals
Good place to see animals, but expensive and the food is expensive as well. Overall nice place.
Nice place, little bit far from the city center
Was a quiet day so very good
Super
I love the new Tiger area, bit
Orrible.

Pleasant walk of about 2.5 hours (if you want to spend the next day there is the gloomy one of the children). The animals are well kept and the facility is well done. Several points in the shade therefore also feasible with the sun lion. There are multiple refreshment points inside. The park is also very interesting from a botanical point of view!Convenient outdoor parking at 5 euros for the whole day.
Nice place, my kids enjoyed it, however I have to say the price is not right for what is offered. I dont like the organization, many of the animals slept and hid. They could organize a route at fixed times where to observe the animals when they eat or with some expert who explains their habits. Anyway 15 euros per adult and 10 for children it seems to me a lot I do not think that it is possible for families to go there often. The very functional bar at good prices. I dont plan on returning for this year.
A unique and magical experience.A perfect place to entertain your children, or why not walk around the park to admire very rare animals to see around. After a long period of waiting, for reasons related to this pandemic that has affected all the parks, it has finally reopened, and is in better shape than ever💪🏻.The staff is super helpful and courteous, always attentive in any situation.I highly recommend at least once in your life to go and visit it 😊.
I returned to the Naples Zoo after 13 years and found it completely revolutionized. The structure is immense and above all there are numerous attractions that always leave visitors speechless, the variety of species that can be found is considerable and today they are setting up new spaces for new animals.Full of young and kind staff, attentive to the environment. There are several picnic areas, which allow you to rest after a day in the sun. The price of the ticket may seem high but I can assure you that for what is inside, it is really money well spent, thinking that the animals are fed and kept in a more than excellent way.I turn to the staff and the management, never stop improving, because it is true for the animals and for the structure, which can really become a gigantic attraction.Recommended place for a different family or couple visit, and for those like me and my girlfriend, who would like to admire and learn more about animals otherwise impossible to see.
Zoo undergoing renovation and reorganization. Currently many routes are easily accessible, others are not. Animals are well looked after, but there are very few of them. The cages and habitats are truly recreated bend. Sanitation and catering are rather poor, old and outdated. adult admission costs 15 euros, reduced 10 euros - in my opinion rather expensive given the few species of animals present.
For those who say it is expensive, do they know how much it costs to keep such a structure running? Well, in my opinion this zoo is going through a very good period after the abandonments of the early 2000s. Go there because it really deserves the visit of the children of Naples and beyond. Fill these parks that are very exciting for your children. The only advice for the structure try to install platforms where there are stairs. To facilitate those with the stroller. However there are alternative (longer) routes without stairs so dont worry about you with strollers ...
Refurbished. The tigers were moved to large portions of land bordered by large protective windows. In the past they were locked up in large cages. There are giraffes, lions, leopards among the ferocious animals, but also swans, pelicans etc.Perfect for the little ones!Free admission for children under 3 years old, for the over 70s and the disabled (with guide)FULL: € 15; REDUCED (4-10 years): 10 €.Winter time(1st November - 31st March)from 9:30 to 17:00Weekends and holidaystime unchangedSummer time(1st April - 31st October)from 10:00 to 18:00Weekends and holidaysfrom 9:30 to 19:00
It was a great experience for the children, the zoo is well maintained and organized, it was nice to find various refreshment areas for picnics. There are not many varieties of animals but those that are there are enough to give emotions to the children and to spend a couple of hours outdoors and in peace.
Im sorry, but even if it has been renovated and the greenery is generally well kept, the animals, the most important thing for which one pays, are very badly kept !! Reptiles kept in very small shop windows and without air and natural light, rabbits the same thing ... lions, tigers and bears seemed out of tune, sad ... the two elephants of infinite tenderness, where one banged his head in the door to enter the place I think where they sleep at night. The monkeys clinging to the bars like innocents in jail. All the spaces for the animals were dry, not even a bit of grass.Instead of keeping them that way, they would do better to free these poor animals or take them to a protected and better kept park
Kept very well, visitors should be supervised more as many do not even know how to educate their children.I think the big cats are the ones that suffer the most in cages, however the managers have created an excellent habitatP. S It certainly remains a Neapolitan pride ❤️❤️💕💕💕
Well organized structure where I was inundated with old memories of slightly worn and dirty environments. The environments are now well maintained and a greater respect for animals has taken their place. Presence of play areas for children of various ages. Presence of a very well maintained picnic area with the presence of covered but well spaced tables and benches. Staff who supervise the areas most at risk and almost continuous cleaning of the picnic area. Presence of several refreshment points with the possibility of menus starting from € 6 even if the price difference on the ice creams present is a little too high compared to the usual selling price.
The animals seem well cared for, even the environments where they live are clean and well maintained. Absolutely affordable ticket price. Too bad there are no gadget shops open.
Unfortunately, it is a poorly maintained place, I understand the difficulties after a year and a half of closure due to a pandemic but we hope they will work as soon as possible to take care of the whole context, animals and environment where they live. Good words must be spent on the cleanliness of the zoos toilets, excellent. You can spend a day with children and grandchildren. Ticket price right.
Wonderful experience. Abundant and cool picnic areas. Lots of animals and well-kept, various kiosks where you can relax at fair prices, plus play areas for children. A beautiful day to repeat. Super recommended!
Recommended! An experience that the children found exhilarating. Lots of animals and well-kept, various picnic areas and kiosks where you can relax, several play areas. A beautiful day to repeat.
The vanity of men, induce them to keep animals accustomed to life outdoors in freedom in a cage. Zoos make sense when they take in injured animals that in nature could no longer cope on their own, otherwise, they would have to be eliminated. The animals at the Naples zoo are well kept and the staff are professional, meticulous and loving. I give the best of stars, even if zoos, after the first enthusiasm, make me sad
Zoo work in progres continuamente..Molto molto migliorato.
Beautiful day ... My children were very happy and we adults too ... I recommend it
It is a beautiful, well-kept place and the animals are well cared for.The problem is the slightly high cost of the entrance ticket, reduced for children € 10 adults € 15. Only one refreshment point to give food. The slightly inflated prices for the rest is a nice place to spend a different day with the family. Just fix a few things then and the top 👍
The kids had fun and so did we adults. Quite well-kept park, nice staff. A few more animals would complete the zoo but overall it was a good experience
It has improved a lot compared to before, although I dont agree with the fact that animals have to stay in cages
A really nice and pleasant walk to take. The only flaw is that there are no family offers.
