Didnt really know what to expect since one of my friends said they heard good things about it and wanted to try. Well they werent wrong, food was amazing, even more so the drinks. The ambience is refreshing and very relaxing. Price were very reasonable especially since everything we ordered was very delicious. Definitely recommend, cant wait for my next visit!

First and foremost. Food and staff were amazing. Very accommodating and friendly that made the experience great. Food, while expensive, was delicious and filling. Only complaint is that the brunch menu was lacking. The dinner menu may have more items but the brunch menu had few assortment of dishes. If your in the area and want to experience a fancy brunch experience then this is the place. If your looking for a brunch resturant for every weekend look for somewhere else.

Wonderful place! The service is impeccable and everyone was very friendly, the food is absolutely divine, drinks were excellent, the ambiance is lovely - very comfortable yet elevated. If I lived closer I would dine here all of the time. I took my friend out for her birthday and the perfect touch at the end of our meal was that the manager, Brian, noticed it was her birthday and brought her a slice of cheesecake - so thoughtful! Definitely recommend Santo Cielo and highly recommend getting the gnocchi short rib!

Came here for the first time for a birthday and it exceeded our expectations. Great service, fantastic food and views. Food style is sharable and in smaller portions - similar to tapas style. Which waa great because we got to try multiple dishes and did not feel stuffed.. Everything we tried was delicious - even the mocktails and cheesecake. Will definitely be coming back here! Come check this restaurant out - it wont disappoint!

Really delicious but some of the food can be a little too chic for my tastes. Regular fare can be found on the menu and it is very tasty. I dont like croutons, but the duck-fat (I think) croutons here melt in your mouth after a crisp and not mouth-hurting (like usual hard croutons) bite. Staff was first class on all my visits - attentive, but not overly-so. Drinks are amazing (Orange Drank in the photo tastes just like a creamsicle and is strong). Table-side mimosas offer choices of juice (guava, yum). Location/view is a lot of fun. Prices reasonable, all things considered.

Pricy but great quality

I would give this one star for the service but I’m sure their food and drinks are great. Service is half the experience. We went in this place to get a cocktail. One of the hostess was nice as we asked about waiting for the seat at the bar so we just had some idea how long the wait would be, understanding it was not guaranteed, BUT who I think was the manager didn’t even acknowledge my mom or myself and as I was turning around, the manager said within ear shot “don’t give them times.” We patiently waited and they served a two gentlemen ahead of us who didn’t have a reservation. If I were the owner, I would consider stepping up their service.

I had a wonderful experience at Santo Cielo. I did a reservation for two people and right away my table was ready. The waiter was very attentive and came back often to check on me and my guest. I had the La chancla cocktail and 1/2 Roasted Chicken which were both delicious. I will sure come back again.

Amazing food quality and unique cocktails. Had their 4 course meal with the very tender and tasty short rib. Definitely was worth the $45 plus tax and 20% gratuity price tag. Their staff was very friendly and their menu seems to change weekly. Will come again. Thanks for being open.

The food was delicious ! We had the cast iron chilaqueles and the French toast both were good. For drinks we had bloody Marys..we did not try one of their signature drinks, but wished we did after we saw them come out to other tables. Reservations strongly recommended, we ended up at the bar since we did norbhave Reservations, but it was just 2 of us so it was fine.

My husband and I came here on a whim on a Tuesday. Food was interesting, global, and fun, drinks were great with a wide selection, and service was professional and informative.

Great drinks, great food, great service, great vibe! 5th floor Restaurant with floor to ceiling windows giving you a near 270 degree view of downtown Naperville overlooking the Riverwalk. We had the Frites, Gua Bao, Short Rib & Gnocci, and Ramen (Half).

By far the best night out of our lives! Each course was an amazing taste bud adventure and I would highly recommend. Our server Nick was absolutely amazing. Definitely 10/10 would return! I seriously cannot rave about the food, ambiance, and service enough. Service was not rushed, we were allowed to take our time without having to wait around for the next course. Seriously a night to remember! Thank you Santo Cielo for an amazing evening! We cannot wait to go back!

Chose this place for brunch to mark our 25th wedding anniversary celebrations and was glad that I did. We were promptly greeted and wished happy anniversary by the hostess, soon after seating our server brought two celebratory glasses of Champagne flutes on the table. Our drink order was taken promptly and the cocktail I ordered was made perfect. Our main course was served hot and the chef had taken good care to prepare it. During our entire meal time we were checked in by our server and other personnel who passed by our table which showed their service commitment. It was rather early lunch for us but the place was almost full and had good vibes. Our first experience with Bien Trucha group was several years ago at their Geneva location which was a fantastic experience . I am glad that the management is continuing to do the good work and rolling out new restaurants with new concepts to the public. Good luck!

Went here for a girls brunch and we all loved it! I had the pancake with almond marscapone and can’t recommend it enough. Great space, very aesthetic, service was wonderful and we can’t wait to come back! Excited to try them for dinner - this place is amazing will definitely bring both friends and family back!

Santo cielo is incredible. My girlfriend (now fiancé) had the loveliest dinner, the wait staff were awesome, the view was incredible. And the food. Oh my goodness the food. We got the shrimp app, the skirt steak and the lamb chops. All of them were absolutely delicious.But the service was absolutely incredible. I had this awesome plan for a proposal and the team all were so down for it. They made that night one of the best nights of our lives. Thank you team, we’re so grateful for an amazing night!

The food and service were great. The menu is short, but everything on it looked appetizing. The restaurant is up high and has lots of windows to view the surrounding downtown Naperville area.

Some of the most delicious food Ive ever had! Had the Salmon Poke Tostada and Gua Bao to start. Followed up with the Mushroom Parpardelle and Chicken Confit. That chicken was amazing, it just melted in my mouth. Ill definitely be back again!

Awesome atmosphere here. Everyone was nice from the moment we walked in until we walked out. Some of the best seafood dishes I have had (*especially* the squid ink noodle dish). Tried a new red wine blend that was very good. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the food and drink menu. Definitely will be back here.

One of my favorite places in Chicago suburbs! I go there regularly, either for lunch or dinner. Every time the quality of food and service is superb. The interior, ambiance, drinks, food and service - all 5starts at all times. Highly recommend to try their sea bass, it will melt in your mouth. Before you know it, you’ll want to order it again! On a weekend night they have a live DJ playing too. It is a hidden gem!

Glad to finally make it here! Cool vibe, decent food, great location & awesome view! Bloody Mary Bar & $5.00 Mimosas was nice! Thought the brunch price tag was a bit high for the offering.... (tiniest omelet I’ve ever seen, zero gluten free consideration) I had a nice time, left full with no regrets, though will probably opt for other brunch opportunities in the future. Do think this is a great place if one IS staying at the Hotel!Update! Love this place! Go frequently for Happy Hour cocktails & 1/2 price apps!

Santo Cielo was a great place! However, they have a really strange profiling of people who comes in so that if you dont look up to their standards, or do not speak up to their standards - they will simply not let you in, which is called discrimination! Yesterday, we tried to get in three times and every time they told us that there was no seats available, while that was objectively not true. Especially after the attendants at the entrance looked at each other (and almost winked each other) it became clear that they did have tables and seats at the bar but not for us, either because we spoke with accent or because we were not dressed up in tuxedos, or something else. Anyhow, this review may sound like a very subjective judgement but if you simply wish to get a coctail or a drink, go other places around, where you are not going to be profiled!

Had a relaxing time here, service was well and the servers were very attentive. Food was bland, and the lights were very dim so it’s kind of hard to see in there. I asked the server if there was a chance to turn up the lights more and she told me her manager said it’s either they’re all the way on or as is there’s no in between. I had gotten the cheeseburger and it was very bland, not a lot of flavor in it. My girlfriend had gotten the pasta which lacked sauce, noodles also had no flavor. The cocktails were good, I had la chancla and it had a nice minty kick to it

I only give this place 4 stars cause the food is terrible in my opinion. If you want top notch drinks and a great view and chill scene, this is one of the best in Naperville. The bartenders are awesome

First off, we always enjoy going to Santo Cielo. Love the food and the atmosphere. However, not going back until well after the 90 minute constraints are lifted. Went to dinner a couple of weeks ago. As soon as we sat down, we were reminded we have 90 minutes to stay. Thats fine and totally understandable when youre trying to turn tables in a dining restricted environment. However, what was not appreciated was the degree to which the waiter was trying to rush us along with every visit to the table. After the third time, I reminded him that we did have 90 minutes and he acknowledged gracefully, but continued to rush us. Drinks took way too long to get and we were there to spend plenty on cocktails as well as food. With 15 minutes left, we were reminded that we had that much time left. At this point, I just asked for the check. The check came 5 minutes later and at which time, the waiter asked if we wanted desert. We said no because by the time it would have shown up, we would have had to inhale it and had no desire to continue to feel like the restaurant thought it was doing us a favor while at the same time, rushing us out, so we left. There were tables that were there before us, that were still ordering cocktails and desert when we left, so clearly, the policy wasnt being enforced consistently. Well go back at some point, but not until things get back to some semblance of normal.

This is hands down the best restaurant experience I have had since I could remember!!! The ambiance, atmosphere, service, food, cocktails, price, freshness, music, everything is THE BEST.The pork belly hash was perfectly put together. There is clearly an emphasis on chef inspired food and drink. The hash comes in a cast iron bowl. As you hover over it to take a bite the unexpected aromas of sweetness sabory herbs and freshness take you by surprise. Perfectly seasoned perfectly sauced perfectly not greasy.The bartender came to our table and gave us a cocktail consultation! The cocktails are so well thought out and so well balanced! They even made fresh lemonade for me and my friend since we wanted vodka lemonades and they did not have any pre made/purchased lemonade. This is an establishment I cannot recommend enough. My only regret is that I do not have eight stomachs and couldnt try the entire menu in one sitting. I will be back and I bet Ill be equally impressed.Ive never been more enthusiastic to write a five-star review and this might be my new favorite restaurant anywhere in the world!

Huge fan of the Bien Trucha Restaurant Group and think this new addition is a nice compliment. The quality of the food is what we have been accustomed to even as the flavors are vastly different from the other restaurants. This beautifully adorned space is welcoming and inviting with its many windows and bright, clean decor. I look forward to coming back for dinner and trying additional menu items.

Enter parking garage in back alley, take elevator to street, enter Hotel Indigo, take elevator to 2, walk across hallway, take elevator to 5,; sat by windows with view of riverwalk & stagnant green water; bar filled up quickly & got very noisy. Drinks came in lovely heavy crystal glasses with stingy serving.Asked for bread & butter- told not available despite patron at next table had mussels & was able to order bread twice. Server hot & cold, friendly at first, appeared often requesting entree orders. Ambience upbeat & cool but menu limited.Definitely no return

I hate to give a restaurant a bad review, especially when so many restaurants are faced with so many challenges, but I think my experience bears some value for both restaurateur and patron alike. All reviews are temporary and a glimpse of one individuals experience, so your mileage may vary. That being said, I like to eat and do so frequently.The TLDR version: This place is a bad restaurant masquerading as a good restaurant. A good example is the avocado pizza which is basically like a pita with a glob of guacamole on top? There is a taco spot across the street that has better guac + chips for half the price.Longer VersionI like to eat, especially when I see an ambitious menu. I had the Saffron Campanelle with bay scallops, shrimp, and Manilla clams for my entree, which was very, very bad. The dish was so heavily oversalted that it basically inedible, the campanelle itself was far past al dente, and the fish was NOT FRESH nor cleaned to a professional standard. It seemed that the shellfish had been precooked. I may be wrong here, but I actually think that the whole dish had been precooked, and that they may have just like tossed it with butter in the BOH. I took it home in a box because I hate to waste, but ended up slam dunking it into the trash can when I tried it the next day.I also had the salmon poke, which was basically mayonnaise soup. There is no reason to have these fish items on your menu; there is a sushi restaurant downstairs, and clearly Santo Cielo is having trouble sourcing quality fish / not worth the cost.The frites were EXCELLENT, but like...they are frites and this is place is trying to be fancy. I say just double down on pizzettas, vegetable forward tapas / entrees e.g. the rainbow carrots which were actually not that bad, though somewhat bland, and your awesome frites and you will have yourself an incredible restaurant.Kudos goes to the aesthetic / interior designers and the builders as this place is really beautiful, but the food and drinks were just not there. Someone needs to manage with a closer eye on the customer experience.Id be willing to bet that there is some tension with FOH / BOH, I was definitely picking up on a vibe with the hosts / servers.All restaurants can improve, and I hope this one does. I will definitely try it again in like 6 months, hopefully with better food + service.

We had one of the best meals ever here. Loved the gnocchi, baos, and both desserts on the menu. It is a great location to hop over to the riverwalk after. The service was outstanding as well. Highly suggest for a celebration or special meal!

Beautiful ambience. Sat at the amazing bar, wow you dont realize youre in Naperville when the windows are open and the warm wind blows through the rooftop. Havent tried the food yet but a full star off for a slow as molasses bartender on a Tues late afternoon with barely any tables or bar seats full. Spent well over 10min waiting on two drinks, meanwhile he fulfilled the 2nd drink order for the ppl next to us, and kept making other drinks. We were pleasant and all, trying to enjoy an occasion, but for some reason he snubbed us.

This is a new trendy place at the top of the hotel Astoria. I really liked that all the windows open up so youve got the patio feel but the protection from the elements. The food was all first class (smaller portions as most trendy places are). Loved the avacado pizza!Good beer selection. Craft cocktail menu was creative. Service was warm and attentive. Both weekday evenings we were there, the north section was booked for private parties so Id expect that to be a trend i.e. be prepared to often have limited walkin capacity. All in all, a big thumbs up.

Plan to share tiny plates of good food when you go here. There are some dishes I regret paying so much for but others (like the gnocci) were totes worth it.

Stopped here on a whim for dinner after seeing a show at the Glendale Center Theater. Great diner food. Located on a corner in a small building with 6 stools for seating. Burritos are huge and very tasty; cheeseburger is delicious, but the buns should be toasted on grill to reduce becoming soggy. The service was great. Will definitely return!

Santo Cielo ... actually all of Bien Trucha Group restaurants are probably one of the best restaurants out in west burb. Staff are respectful, attentive, responsible, and professional! All of their foods are delicious! Their bartenders actually knows what they are doing. They make Amazing cocktails. All their restaurants are so responsible during this pandemic. Everyone INCLUDING Kitchen staff all wear mask 🙏 They ensure all patrons who enters the restaurant are wearing mask. It makes me feel GOOD to dine with them! I feel SAFE to dine with them. This pandemic sucks! We want to show support to our local businesses and get past this pandemic but if we don’t pull this effort together we will never get past this. Atmosphere was excellent, good layout and decor. Food was delicious, cocktails were also very good service was a bit slow but not going to hold it against them they seemed pretty busy and nowadays most good places can’t find anyone to work overall good experience will be back.

Refreshing atmosphere, friendly servers and a nice view. We went to Santo Cielo for my birthday and found the food exquisite with a great presentation. We had roasted lamb chops, asparagus, mash potatoes with a gravy sauce drizzle and the juicy flat iron steak served with fingerling potatoes, caramelized shallots with a chile drizzle around the plate. The pumpkin seeds were a nice added touch.Then comes dessert!The chocolate tart was our vote: thin crust, with creamy chocolate, thinly shaved chocolate garnish, fresh raspberries with a berry drizzle with pistachios on top. Absolutely delicious.The entrees appear small but they are just the right amount of food for any appetite. I would highly recommend not passing on their dessert.

Visited for the first time last weekend on Saturday night. The venue is chic with dim milk lighting throughout the space. Vibes and feels are reminiscent of Fulton Market in the city which was both awesome and refreshing because until I walked in I forgot what it felt like to be out with decent clothes on.

This was my third visit to Santo Cielo restaurant over the span of two years, and even through COVID, this establishment has thrived. I was wowed, treated with patience and respect when I didn’t know what I wanted, and enjoyed every dish thoroughly. Stephanie and Emilio were incredibly thoughtful, kind, and knowledgeable. I’m very happy to be a regular here!

My husband and I had brunch here on a Saturday a few weeks ago and I can’t stop thinking about how delicious the food was! The presentation was impeccable and the pork belly hash literally has me day dreaming. The mimosas are made with fresh orange juice and top bubbly for a very smooth and refreshing taste. The service was warm and friendly and the waiter wore a mask the whole time. When you peered into the kitchen (it’s enclosed in glass so you can see inside) all cooks were wearing masks as well. We got a lovely view of snowy downtown Naperville and even though the windows were open per Covid regulations, Santo Cielo really compensated by turning up the heat and providing a comfortable and safe dining experience.I will DEFINITELY be a regular and am so happy to have found this restaurant. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!

Best food and good service

Sometimes you go to a restaurant and there seems to be only a handful of good plates. The ENTIRE menu here sounded amazing. I went there last night and I cannot get the shrimp bao out of my head. The food was amazing. The bad hombre drink was delicious. This is the only place Ive ever been to with a good tart for dessert. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Great atmosphere, but the gnocchi was a joke-i. Did not appreciate the entrees haphazardly dropped off as the kitchen cooked them, wife ate alone for 10 min before my food showed up. For a non tapas setup, the kitchen needs to get it together. Two tops should not be off 10 minutes. Great place to grab a drink, better dinner options elsewhere.

We recently had an unfortunate experience here, but the manager Emiliano handled it extremely well and recognized all of our issues with true professionalism and courtesy. Santo Cielo is, at its best, one of the premier restaurants in the western suburbs right in line with the rest of the Bien Trucha Group. Forward thinking menu, amazing cocktail program (especially their mezcal selection), and a management staff that truly cares about their customer base. Highly recommend!

The service and food were wonderful; however, the sun in your eyes while trying to have dinner was annoying. Make sure to bring your sunglasses!

Dinner was good and plated well! Environment was safe for COVID dining 100% I recommend the Gua Bao pork belly buns, the fries with truffle mayo/Marissa ketchup, my steak was a little salty this time but cooked perfectly, the tiramisu ice cream was moth watering, & the burger was basic not worth $14. Beautiful dining room and frosty views of Naperville. Will not repeat unless I have to or when they can have a bigger menu after COVID regulations have been lifted!

I had brunch here for the first time with my coworkers and the food was amazing. I enjoyed the Prime Rib, fried chicken, roasted veggies, fresh fruit, and charcuterie. The buffet had a very nice spread. They were very accommodating with my food allergies. & Our waiter, Marcel was great! He was very kind, efficient, and mannerly. The atmosphere was comfy and classy. I highly recommend coming here for Sunday Brunch.

I celebrated my nomination last night in this excellent restaurant. Well we had a astonishing evening and the venue was surely one of the reasons for that strong gathering. The team cooperated in a graceful manner, the food was very good and my guests were extremely cheerful. We shall definitely visit again for more celebrations. thanks very much.

This place is AMAZINGGGGG. The bartender (whose name we didn’t catch) is SUPERB. He made concocted the PERFECT beverages for my friend and I, just based on what flavors and alcohols we enjoy, and I mean it when I say perfect. Each round of drinks was equally as amazing as (if not better than) the last. The food: equally as amazing. We had the bao (shrimp and gua) and we could have eaten six more plates. And the gnocchi and short ribs was one of the best meals I’ve eaten in a long time.Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends!!

Definitely this summer can not be better Santo Cielo has a Patio, a beautiful cheese board with meat and the best tasty crackers that you can stop eating. Attention 5 stars, First Class Chef preparing everything at once. There are oysters, shrimp and more. My favorite place every time I come to Naperville.

The limited menu in this pandemic is smart.. phenomenal dishes...gnocchi with braised short ribs and pistachios pesto with Campanella...was disappointed over the lack ventilation or open windows with a crowded restaurant...website says madate requires windows to be open from 10/20 until further notice... blankets and ponchos are welcomed...in the 75 minutes we were there, there was a cool draft for about 5 minutes...hardly COVID compliant. I want to support local businesses as much as I can, but not at the risk of my life...disappointing

Absolutely adore this establishment. The drinks are perfect, the atmosphere is beautiful, its like getting that city experience in the burbs without having to travel. I cant wait to return for brunch. Rooftop is nice, each time Ive gone it rained, so I havent seen it pulled down. It does get pretty packed on weekends, I would recommend calling ahead.

The attraction of it is that you dont feel like youre in a suburb while youre there, but it doesnt need to cost the same as not being there. Knock off a few dollars here and there on the drinks and food and Id give it 4 stars. The food and drinks are pretty good.

When staying at the Hotel Indigo we’d often be able to see Santo Cielo from our room but we didn’t actually go and eat there until this August. We went for Sunday brunch and we really enjoyed our time there. The views make it what it is for sure, as well as all the cute places to take pictures. The food was good and the employees were all kind and helpful. Good experience, I’d definitely recommend for a Sunday brunch or going for a date or special meal.

We visited Santo Cielo for brunch and it was absolutely fantastic. Everything was super fresh and there were lots of options. We all agreed that the food wasnt too heavy compared to some other brunch places. I also loved the Guava Mimosa. The space is bright and filled with greenery. Hands down one of the best brunch places in the suburbs.
