This temple is situated at the top of Vesvi mountain in scenic silent environment. The mountain has few small villages named kengwal bankot vesvi nandgaon.To be specific this temple is in the Nandgaon village and hence location mentions nandgaon vesvi. Bankot fort(killa) is closeby approx 1 km or so. The temple has been recently renovated with good architecture and has the deity of Kalamba Devi also known as Mahamaya Kalika( in Goa).How to reach - Reach Bagmandala village jetty point. From there every one hour we have jettys to go to Vesvi mountain. Jettys can carry ur car in it so no issues. From there reach the top with car or u can climb or trek the mountain till top not easy though.Kalamba Devi is a patron deity ( kuldevi) of many Daivadnya Brahmins community surnames like Vaidyas, Shets (also known as Vesvikar), Mayekar, Bhatkar etc and hence visited by them in time to time basis. Its also worshipped by many Koli communities as Gramdevi as well.As per the historical evidences this deity is same as that of Mahamaya Kalika of Goa Kasarpal as it seems to avoid the prosecution from Portuguese and then the Muslims many Daivadnya Brahmins community fled from Goa and headed to inner Maharashtra through the water ways. Will passing by they seems to be halted near Vesvi mountain with the deity and then again headed in interior of Maharashtra.As of now none of the Daivadnya community lives in Vesvi and adjoining areas of this mountain - locals and priests informed the same.If incase you get a chance then visit the Mahamaya Kalika Devi Temple (800 yr old ) at Kasarpal Goa as it has been created by Kadamba architecture by Kadamba rulers of Goa and Karnataka the ther name for the deity seems to Kalamba( mis pronounciation of Kadamba).Additionally Harihareshwar is closeby so if incase you come to Harihareshwar then visit it and vice versa.Humble request would be please give helping hand or donate for the temple in whatever ways it is possible small or big doesnt matter specially for those whose patron deity it belongs to.Keep environment clean.
