First phase of metro started...still under developing stage...cleans and best metro in Maharashtra as of now..crowd support is not as per expectations

Nagpur Metro Rail starts operation in record time in March 2019 since its first construction started in May 2015. Construction is still in full swing for other areas. Of course there is mix reaction from the public of this Metro project in Nagpur. Some say Nagpur do not require metro rather its waste of public money. Instead of this project some wish to have wider roads, maintaining the existing roads well. They also want public transport like buses and others to be strengthened. To some extend it is true that the road conditions in Nagpur are still not in good conditions except some roads. We found lots of potholes in most of the roads; roads leading to most of the markets are narrow and congested. These roads have to be improved to an standard if Nagpur has be developed to world class city. Only construction of Metro will not serve the purpose of having good transport and communication in the city without improving many roads in this city. Last but not the least this Metro is good for the city and a big gift to Nagpur. We can see engineering marvel in this project. For example double decker route in Wardha Road in front on Nagpur airport line. One line is for vehicles. And above this line is for Metro. It looks fascinating. This double decker line is also not in Delhi Metro. Hopefully it will serve the city fully some day or near future. Jai Hind.

Very ambitious project for rapid local transport conceptualized, and implemented in record time is really appreciable in all its glory.Connectivity can be optimum considering the main road, the fly road and then above the Metro.It will decongest the traffic n can make the travel time almost 60 to 70 % and can save cost of fuel as well.Kudos to Team Nagpur Metro.

Work in fast progressThis is the most awaited project for Nagpurians,though almost all of the people in the city have faced heavy traffic issues regularly during peak hours,but still they must be waiting for their first metro journey through the hustle and bustle of the cityBut seriously,Metro employees are working very hard to complete this project as early as possible, because I have seen the workers working even in the worst weather conditions,so lets hope for the best..Nagpur is really getting smarter as per as transport infracture is concerned...
