The best place in and around Nagpur for inner calmness and serenity. It appears to be a replica of Akshardham temple in Ahmedabad and New Delhi. Now its well within city limits as the concrete ring roads construction has been completed recently.Time slots available for morning and evening shifts. The temple has a dedicated parking area. The laser show in the evening attracts devotees. Western attire like skirts, etc are not allowed for girls. For boys, wallets, belts made of leather are not permitted. Designs and scripts are carved on the pillars of the temple. The temple shows us a image of medieval architecture.

A must visit place if you are in Nagpur. The ambiance is very peaceful and there are areas for kids and elderly. However, for the amount of money spent in building this architecture, they could have set aside a little amount to build a proper toilet and maintain it. This place was so dirty, smelly and didnt hv water even. Hope the administration reads this review and takes some action.

Wonderful architecture. Whole temple is made with carved stones only. No cement or iron rod is used. A very peaceful place. Food court is available inside the campus which is tasty and moderately priced. Photography is allowed only in the garden area. Camera is not allowed inside the main temple. Nice religious place to visit in nagpur

This temple is beautiful carved in stone. The carvings are so precise and in abundance, we just wonder how they did it.The whole atmosphere is positive vibes. The garden, children play area are beautifully maintained and kept clean. They even have nice topiary and colourful flowers around it.The entry gate and processes are hassle free. There is not much of a rush. The temple is location on main street.The idols inside the temple are very beautiful. Inside the temple after the darshan is completed, there is souvenir shop. We can buy holy books, Devhara (Gods home), ayurvedic medicines and Indian masalas over here.It takes around 45min to see and enjoy the temple fully.

It was an unscheduled visit and turned out to be a pleasant one. One of the cleanest places I have ever seen. The joy doubles up when you see fine carved statutes, pillars. The artistry is a joy to behold. I was drawn to visit this Temple in Nagpur, located on outskirts of the city, as it from Swarinarayan Sect or say the Akshardham people. Serenity and cleanliness of the premises makes a visit to this place all the more satisfying one. They are maintaining the place really well. It is well landscaped, has separate living quarters and even a well equipped canteen. Ample parking place means no parking woes. If you havent visited any Swarinarayan Temple so far, suggest you visit one in case it happens to be in the City you are visiting. You will come back enchanted .....

The 750th Swaminarayan temple in India was inaugurated in the city on Monday 7th October 2013, amidst chanting of Vedic mantras and rituals that began two days before. Located in Wathoda near the Middle Ring Road, the temple is the largest among the over 1,000 temples that have been set up by Swaminarayan Sanstha across the world.Headed by the 93-year-old Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the fifth successor of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, the sanstha was established in 1907 and has millions of followers around the world. Run by BAPS which stands for Bochanwasi Akshar Purushottam Sanstha, the congregation is dominated by Gujaratis as its founder hailed from Gujarat.80% of the cost of constructing this massive structure has come from donations of local devotees.It is a very known temple in Nagpur, but it is beautiful and very popular among local people.The carvings are awesome.There are snacks stalls inside the premises. The temple trust also sells some food items and pooja items as well as ayurvedic items inside the premises.But photography is allowed only upto a certain point on the path leading upto the temple.That too with mobile phone camera only. You cannot take camera inside the premises. You cannot wear shoes inside the premises.The shoes have to be deposited at the entrance.You will get back your shoes while returning.
