I requested santhosh to send someone to weave my dining chairs. Three weavers came, checked the chairs and said that only 3 needed to be replaced. Though there are many Chairs these days for use, a classic ones are those we call as Koodai Chairs. The classic oval shaped ones made out of strong plastic wires. We had two of these chairs which were extensively used but once the wires worned out they were just kept the without Glory. I was searching for a good skilled craftsmen who can bring these beauties back to their best. Finally I found IRUKKAI aptly named. Santhosh a very good young man who decided to take up his Fathers mantle in this skilled trade. He and his team who he had assembled across the state are doing a wonderful job of this getting this fading art back to its glorious best. My chairs which were rusted, joints damaged over the years are now looking super great and ready to give us all the missed comfort. They take that chairs to their place, give it for welding if required, paint them and then weave their magic with wires. I am super satisfied with their work and commitment. Cost is not a criteria with these skilled labour, but I can promise you they charge very nominally and when we receive the chairs I am sure we will be impressed to give them more than what we agreed on. Thanks Santhosh. And Murugan the person who came home and got my Chairs ready to embrace us once again. I used the word EMBRACE, people who know these chairs can easily relate to what I meant.
