A very majestic temple which is still in making, situated at the bank of river chambal. There relax the deity , the almighty, the lord of whole universe “Lord Shiva”. I suggest to have a visit during the evening when one can see a beautiful horizon from the temple hall.

This Shiva temple is located on the beautiful banks of Chambal river near the Nagda Rly. Stn on the enroutes to Dewas,Ujjain and Indore. It has a legend that King Parikshit had performed the yagnya on this very place,which is famous as Sarp yagnya,in which he burnt all the sarpa,snakes from the earth to abolish them and save himself from the curse.This story goes behind to the time of Mahabharata,the epic of Indian mythology.In Sanskrit , Nag means SARPA,the snake and Dah means burning,thus it becomes the name of this place,Naagdaah and in the times, it becomes Naagda.,where the Naag,SARPA have been burnt.

Its Actually Name is Mukteshwar Mahadev Mandir. There is Special occasion on ShivRatri. So many peoples arrived here for enjoying this festival.
