A nice and quiet place the view here is amazing the water is very cold as one would expect.The place is nice if you are traveling with a group of friends you should visit and enjoy the soothing place and the beauty of nature.😉

The way to this waterfall is very bad . You cant take your own vehicle you have to rent out a jeep the cost of jeep is 500 per person . But the bad roads are totally worth when once you reach the waterfall. It is a very peaceful place and beautiful as well . You can bathe as well if you want . You can easily spent 1.5 hours just enjoying the view .

Great falls. The drive to the place is awesome. It is not well paved, I would suggest taking a SUV over there.

Waterfall is very small, nothing impressive around. The place is considered holy by the locals and gets crowded sometimes with devotees who want to take a dip in the waters. One of the fun things (and popular as well) is that you can feed the fish in the water.

This place has a certain charm. If you have a thing for nature you will be enchanted by the beauty of this place.I felt like not leaving the place though to get there the road is not in perfect condition but the journey and sceneic landscape is totally worth it.

Its a small waterfall. Its not allowed to get into the water as it is worshipped by the locals. Its not bad to chill there for a short while. Its a short detour from the mandalpatti view point.

Beautiful water fall. Very near from mandalpatti hills check/entry post. No time restriction but difficult to view after sunset. Not a place wherein one can play in water. Certain local eatables available (Not always). Jeep drivers who take you to mandalpatti will charge extra for visit. Good one to visit.

This lake is very clean. The locals consider this place pious, so swimming and fishing are prohibited. Although its a lot of fun to feed the large schools of catfish in the lake. Its a very peaceful experience.

Abbey falls is nice to go place...The pathway through the forest is safe, clean and neat. The view is good. People spent like 10 to 15 minmax there ... Probably the only place for a tourist in coorg now

Its about 1 hour from Madikeri. Getting there is a little hectic since the roads are still being laid out. But its definately worth visiting!

Originates from Kote Betta, hence it called Kote Abbey. Abbi and Abbey means water fall in kannada language. It is on the way to Mandalapatti. This fall is dedicated to local good. You can feed bicsuits to fish, but fishing, swimming and bathing forbidden here. It is about 10 kms from Madikeri, you have to a deviation to right on the way to Mandalapatti. Better to hire Jeeps. But a great bikers paradise. Food not available. Avoid rainy season

The very few untouched places in madikeri. Its deep inside. Due to recent landslides its not reachable. The falls in spread across the river and its not that tall. The quantity is more. The road is not that good with sticky mud all the way. So if your car isnt having lots of power then better avoid it. As always dont spoil the place with any kind of waste.

In all the waterfalls in and around coorg, this is the least crowded, clean, scenic & one of the few falls where we can take a dip in the water safely (no changing rooms though). Bit hard to reach by sedan, hatchback(manageable with suv or bike). Make sure to carry extra clothes if you are visiting this place (after seeing it, most probably you will take a plunge in the water ).

This inside the forest..on the way to Mandalpatti. If you rent a Jeep, Ask them and ensure you include this place while negotiating the price.Lovely place, very quiete...you will not be able to take bath in the waterfalls, but if the water flow is normal you can take bath in the stream above the falls.Very nice experince ... dont forget to carry extra cloths and towells. Nice place to experiencஎ..... and really picturistic location.You need to climb up the hill to reach the strame...its not that tough.

Offbeat place that can be visited on the way back from Mandalpatti. Villagers consider the pond created as sacred. Fishes are there in the fall and can be fed. Should be avoided in rainy season

Very calm and silent place in coorg, not much people around.Currently road is under construction from one side, you have to get around from the other.It feels like in middle of a jungle, with water flowing where you can relax.Dont know how long this place will remain like this, people will make it a fully commercial spot

This place has less crowd and is very serene and peaceful. Ask the jeep driver to take to this falls when you go to mandalpatti hills. They will charge extra but its worth. Take some biscuits along. When u drop a biscuit in water you will see fishes coming up to eat them.

Awesome experience:- Its situated around 5 kms from mandalapatti gate inside the private estate.- People stay nearby worship the falls as God, so swimming, fishing are not strictly prohibited.- In the foot of falls we can get a glimpse of tiger fishes and also we can feed them with biscuits or Puri.- This Place is calm and quiet . only sound we can hear is water flowing and birds chirping around everywhere.- If you are a nature photographer and searching for less traveled places, this is for you.- we enjoyed almost for an hour in this place until driver reminded us for getting late.

Not to miss water falls when in coorg. A little treck is required to go to the falls.

The hight is not as much as it is in Abbey falls, but this falls is wide and the water has quite a force. Not recommended for swimming as the force of water and depth makes it very difficult. On other side of bridges you can play in water but with cautiously. The surrounding of the falls had lush green. Transport facilities like bus and private jeeps available. I preferred jeep as it is convenient to our timings. Roads are very bad near to the water falls.

A beautiful and quite place. not very crowded as its considered to be holy and you cannot enter the water or do fishing. due to this the fishes in the waterfalls lake are thriving. only sad part is people feed biscuits to the fish as a ritual which in my humble opinion is not very healthy for the fishes and may disturb the ecosystem in long run. I would highly recommend visiting this place but please avoid feeding the fish.

The waterfall is just a few kilometres from Madikeri and can easily be accessed by both two and four wheeler Vehicles. There is a space for parking and a small shop next the the falls. The falls itself is incredibly beautiful! The water is super clean and you can access the mouth of the falls. Contaminating the water is strictly prohibited but this place is worth a visit!

Place is good for fun, however people decided to turn this into dump yard, so u will find, wasted food, disposable utensils, sanitary pads, diapers, plastic bottles, liquor bottles, slippers.. We even found women clothing around. Whoa... What a fun place.

A peaceful set of lake with a little bit strong waterfall at the back. Lots of fish that live in this water, locals take this water to be holy and so fishing is not allowed. However, watching the fish aggressively come for the food that you may throw into the waters for them, is good enough. You can spend a lot of time just watching them. Kids would love the fish. Water is much tamer above the waterfall.. there you can sit in and enjoy.

Woooooooow. This is not a usual place where people can visit easily. It depends on drivers. Our driver took us to this place. The road was very tough and muddy. He drove us to there nicely. And the beauty that you got to see was awesome. Two eyes will not be enough. Falls are beautiful. And most important thing is you can go and have bath, because almost every waterfalls dont have access nowadays. Water was very cold and it is good for photography. There are different plants and insects around, so can do photography for hours.

Most beautiful water falls located at about 35 KMs from Madikere. These falls are little interior of forest with less tourists. U should see and enjoy the beauty of the falls. Here you can see shoal of fish. U can feed them biscuits. U ll enjoy the water falls with fish coming on to the surface of the water when you throw biscuits at them

Please dont confuse this with Abbi falls near Madikeri.. This is entirely different waterfall which is far more Peaceful, serene & far less crowded than Abbi falls.. Do visit during rainy season & the reservoir on foot of waterfall is ought to be 20 feet deep & theres no security guards to warn you,so be safe, enjoy.. keep it clean..

If you just want to watch a waterfall then its good but if you want to enjoy the waterfall thens its not good. you cant go near the waterfall. they have put fencing around it and created a deck from where you can just watch it.

Its a great place with good amount of water available . It is very well maintained by the government and now they are even lying roads directly to reach the falls without trecking. In near future not only people who can walk but also everyone can reach that place easily.

Abbey waterfalls are one of the famous falls among tourist and its 7kms away from Mandalpatti viewpoint. This falls we can see in many films. Such a nice calm place to hang out. if its heavy rain the water flow will be more and getting into the water is restricted by authorities. Planning trip on November-January will be really fun.

Very very remote place.. have to reach via Jeep only... Due to recent floods , roads are completely damaged... Only local Jeep drivers can go in that way..They charged 1800 per trip..

According to locals and guide it is said to be the holy water but excellent spot for camping but be aware of elephants

A very simple road to reach there....a jeep safari will be best to take u there...and if it rains then its atmosphere just feels like heaven....there are more than 300 fishes here u can take any biscuits like PARLE G and feed the fishes it is allowed

Monsoon season (june-aug) is the best time to reach this spot... Usually less crowded and you can find yourself alone here on a weekday... If youre going for Mandelpatti peak ask your Jeep driver to take you here too... Off roading experience is the best part in reaching this wonderful marvel.

Great place for a dip in the water on top of the falls..and below the falls feed the fishes..kids loved it and so didnthenadults. No swinging in the bottom pool.
