Surprisingly horrible experience with one of the salesman there: he would not let us to see what we wanted in piece. Kept following and insisting that we should buy sandal wood, though we were interested in some other craft. Even after asking him if it is ok to see what the shop has, it continued. Told us clearly higher prices. Though there were other salesmen in the shop, this guy jumped in and highjected the conversation while missing the first half and having no clue about what we were asking. All under pretext to show respect to the customer. When we got tired of it and i was the one to refuse to buy the item, he called me a thief. Pure harassment and insult. Unless management is willing to look into the issue and remove the mad person from their salesmen team, i do not advise you to go there

They said it is factory outlet and all tourist/auto walls bring the tourists here.They say the quality is pure Mysore silk at government rates you would get here. Everything original here is what they said. I dont know how much of it is true. But looking at all tourist vehicles flocking at this shop alone gives confidence that something is working right here. There are so many cauvery shops across the city but none had this crowd. The word of mouth about this shop is goodThough it is government owned shop, the salesmanship was amazing. Went to purchase only a Mysore silk scarf, ended up spending almost multiple times of the budget we thought of spending.After I clicked few photos only I was reminded that no photos are allowed. So I have posted only a few photos.Would recommend to purchase from this shop, believing the word on Street. But beware of the amazing salesmanship which is too good for a government owned shop.Also customer service was phenomenal. Had only card to pay, they said we would have spend 5% extra for card. They have a variety of stuffs from furniture to paintings, from hand crafted marble items to beauty products. The natural sandalwood and silk products are available too. A good place to visit if you want to shop ethnic. Only setback is it is a bit on outskirts of city. It is government approved and you can be assured about quality of product, good part they deliver the items throughout India so you just need to choose what you like and it will be delivered to your address. The place is good for shopping for both the genders and have product for all ages.

These people are cheaters. I bought products worth 14,000. Used Sandal face pack. Got small pimples after using it. These sales girl for soap will manipulate you like anything. Please dont get carried away by their false promises. Theyre experts in cheating tourists

Bought silk kurtis for my daughters at good quality and price. The sales team was very courteous and attentive. Their sandalwood collection is very very impressive but not for the common mans budget

A pearl necklace costed around 2500 rupees. Could have negotiated for a lesser price. The quality seems reasonably good. If you are looking to buy silk sarees, you can check this store on the way back from Chamundi hills.

This shop is with bunch of cheaters. Do not go there. There are many other authentic shop in Mysore. They have charged me double the amount for photo.So shameless..they fooled the tourist thinking we will not come to know. They charged 10,500 for a photo that was available in 5600 in other shops. This shop is worst shop. Their product qualities are so low. Purchased nearly 4000 rs worth Sandlewood, Soaps and Agarbatis. Later when used them at home, found them worse than any cheap product locally. Beware. Cab Driver had taken us to the shop most politely. He had received his commission at cost of our low quality product. Such cheater shops should be banned by Mysore Govt.

If you want pure mysore silk at a reasonable price this place is a must visit for you or if you want export quality sandlwood products you should visit this place. Its a factory outlet and prices are very reasonable you can get some wooden products which are generally exported and difficult to find in outside market. So if you are a lover of art aor want great quality silk products visit this place.

This shop doesnt sell real silk sarees. I bought two sarees priced at 7500 and 8000 rupees and did the burn test and it turned out to be synthetic silk. Very disappointed by the experience in the land of silk sarees. Tourists please be aware. Also they pay taxi drivers commission and hence my driver took me there and unfortunately I didnt read reviews before visiting. Unfortunately I spent more than 25000 rupees buying gifts and feel deeply cheated. Also this shop prefers cash payments to avoid GST and urged me to do the same when I asked for a discount. I paid by card and hence didnt get any discount.Shops like this should be reported to the authorities and unfortunately I have left the city now.

I have visited here for sandles wood... They have shown me 2 types of sandles wood... One with price 22paise/gram and other with price 25paise/gram.... Which is very high price.... as compared with another authorise shop price very high...They havent mentioned itemized price on bill......

This shop charges rip-off prices for spurious products. We shopped as a group of 20 persons. Our bus driver stopped here on our way to Chamundeshwari. We purchased many products, which we later discovered were substandard in quality. Also various perfumed soaps and agarbattis including supposedly pure sandalood, did not last even couple of days after opening and the perfumes simply vanished and we were left with cheap sodium hydroxide soaps made of lye and water and agarbattis that smelt of wood. Never shop here and if your bus driver or guide brings you here - protest vehemently. They probably get a commission from the shop.

Visited this place. There are lot of outlets. But one thing I didnt like is they are charging too much as compared to Cauvery factory and the outside shops who are selling yhe same product of wood art. When asked about the difference, they are not giving a proper explanation.
