Its an old masjid constructed by the king wodeyar, they had immense contribution to mysore & every community, minarets of this masjid gives heritage look, in the month of holy ramzan takhrats were occured & sehri food also organised by them or any worshipper. Unfortunately mcc is planning to demolish some portion of the masjid for road widening which is unfair to this heritage city.

Well maintained place for prayer. Its in main road & one can easily go for prayer when passing from there.
