Nice place to have tiffin...We had ordered benne masala dose n poori n coffee...Dose was delicious...Also liked the poori saagu... Saagu was different from Bangalore hotels... Liked it there...Should have tried open dose.. we saw that after ordering our food.. we were so full so couldnt order it.. missed it..π Will definitely try next time for sure...
We went on a weekend for breakfast. Badly managed self service counter. Its super crowded and not recommended if crowd is not your thing (besides the corona scare). The way seating is structured near the counter is an issue. Women have to stand longer at the counter because men just keep waiting there and give no room to women.Food quality is good and the kesari bath lives up to its hype (its subtle to the palate and really good)Suggestion: Improve your seating capacity or put tall tables outside the building for eating or decrease the no. of coupons given per hour.Karnataka Police Department to please take a note of this
Kesari bath was pathetic. Benne Masala dose was good. Set masala and open dose, aloo bonda and Mangalore bajji were about average. Nothing so good about the place. Its not a bad place either. Not a place I would take time out and visit again. May be in the area and if I am hungry would not mind stepping in for a bit.
One of the most cleanest and nicest place to eat food while you are in Mysuru. The rates are nominal too.Two of us had food here and it was totally worth it in every way possible. We ordered Open Butter Masala Dosa - INR 60 per plate, 1 Manguluru Bhujji - INR 25 per plate, 1 Kesari Bhath - INR 25 per plate.Total - INR 170 was the bill and we had our stomach full with taste and quantity.I would recommend everyone in Mysuru or travelling to Mysuru to visit this place and eat atleast once before you say goodbye to this beautiful city called Mysuru.I totally loved the food here.
Really love this place for mornin break fast....non mysorians who visit rarely should try here.....being mysorian n having these restaurant with superb delicacy, the enjoyment is top level !! Do try this place
The dosa is superb. Always a treat. Both taste and texture are just perfect. Arguably one of the top 3 dosa experiences in Mysore.Self service. Other items like uppit and vada are decent. They say they are cash only. Disappointed with that. The place needs to modernise a little and keep up with the times.
Should try masala dosa, idli vada and coffee here. Didnβt liked sweets here since they have added too much of sugar
The masala dosa n coffee was amazingβ€οΈ.. A really great place for breakfast! The place is packed with people though!
Very nice family restaurantDosa benne masala must try
Taste is good as always..but very arrogant behavior of the staff as if they are doing a favor to customers by running their business..no patience to any of the employees..mainly the younger person at the cash counter
This is one of the oldest eating joints in Mysore. A well known among locals as well as tourists. This simple looking restaurant offers tasty snacks, coffee and tea at reasonable prices. One can always venture to eat here...
Masala dosa prepared here is the best that one can find in Mysore
Tasted bisibele bath, taste was really gud will visit again
Morning r evening, Masala Dosa is the best, well done, keep it up!
Gives a feel of old Mysore. Give your taste buds a liking of crispy dosas and the kesari bath. 4/5. Cleanliness can be improved
Yummy masala dosa must try.
I use to love this place from childhood. Not that graet now. Good place for quick breakfast.
Went there in search of a good dosa, but got the worst version of it. Masala dosa is thick and an insult to its name. Home cooked dose is way better than what they serve as masala dose
One stop for best south indian bfast.I liked hot crispy dosa.service is also gud.
GTR famously known in Mysore is an good place to have south Indian food and snacks. Their trademark is Masala Dosa with coconut chutney.
Idli vada, kersari bath and masal dosa and ending with coffee.. all taste good and this is self service hotel with seating space available..They have separate seating rooms for family
Masala dosa, udad vada was too good very tasty
Breakfast was decent. Good coffee. But place is not hygienic.
Had been to betta and thought we would check this place for breakfast, since I saw a review elsewhere, its a decent place, the food is good, but if you want to eat like good good dosa, you can try other well known places, if you want just simple breakfast this place will do! And the coffee was really good.
Good Taste of Masala Dose, Mangalore Bajji, Idli, reasonable price, nice premises maintenance, Coffee is also very tasty. Good to visit with Family. Save Hard Earned Money and enjoy good food. I am a regular visitor for the past 20 Years.
Amazing place to have a simple breakfast. No service at table, it is Self-Service.
Tasty dosa and Mangalore bajji
Gayatri tiffins is like a paradise for the tiffins. They serve you all the authentic south Indian tiffins. One has to try their own masala dosa, youll get to experience a different taste of dosa that you havent had it ever.Even the filter coffee is great.
Dosa is favorite here and idli. dosa at the evening kharabath and coffee is soo likely to the people of Mysore good hotel in budget and nice place to eat
Lovely place for masala dosas, especially set masale.... always a top notch for dosa lovers.
One of the best hotel in mysore. Must eat is set masala dosa.
Excellent butter Masala dosa and rava kesari. Tasty and melt in the mouth!Highly recommended. Very very economical and VFM. We took a carry out and ate in the car due to social distancing norms. In house dining was available.
Best taste visit please Bath is amazing dosa also everything is good price is reasonable well maintained
Nice n clean. Here you can get tastey food
Little bit costly. Place is neatly maintained and taste is great especially masale dose.
Non sense place. Only hype in the YOU TUBE. Eatable are not up to the mark as they boast even price tag is also on higher side when compared to Bangalore eat outs of the same standard and locality.
Had dosa & chow chow baath.very tasty.& quick service.
Best hotel and very famous for different types of dosa & espically masala dose and plain dosa is very taste and it is also called benne masala dose.must visit for breakfast.
One of the restaurant which you cant miss going when you are in Mysore. Its one of the old food joint which serves yummy Masale dose(GTR), idli, kesari and one of the locals favorite places to eat. Any article you read about food culture in Mysore, youll find this restaurant. Its crowded all the time, but should be able to get your order quick. I enjoyed my early morning breakfast here.
In the delight first floor, the water is so bad that people fall sick. So please buy a bottle..You can get the view of chamundi hills from first floor πAs all of us know its very popular for breakfast, and they serve great meal too. If you are too too hungry , you can run to this place and order south Indian meals , to fill your appetite with delicious food. North Indian is good too.
Heard a lot about this restaurant and decided to check it, we made a mistake of visiting the restaurant by 11 o clock late morning,Follow the Google directions you wont find it difficult to find it, parking could be tricky during peak hours but lanes opposite to the hotel can be used to park your car,We found that renovation was going on the ground floor, we went upstairs which has around 20-30 tables,We were disappointed to know that they dont serve Dosa at 11, so if you want to taste their famous dosas make sure you visit before 10 o clock in the morning,We ordered Roti Curry and curd Rice, curd Rice was good but it was not fully fermented, the milky taste was still there, the pickle provide was tasty,Roti curry, a plat of roti curry comes with 4 rotis, dal and veg Gravey, we were provided with Peas Gravey which was very tasty so was the dal they provided, The roti provided was soft and was the best I had in Mysuru.Price wise it was reasonable, all their dishes are priced fairly. Certainly a pocket friendly restaurant. In short, If you want to taste their Dosas be there before 10, make sure you park your car on the by lanes, Taste wise i would give them 8/10If you are in Mysuru, Dont miss them.
Lacks service and food was not so tasty... in fact very salty.... unnecessary hype created on average hotel for tourist..
Idli chatnu and masala dosa with filter cofee ... lvly..
Gayathri Tiffin Room popularly known as GTR is a must visit forall the avid Masala Dosa fans! There is a popular saying in MysoreYour life is complete only after enjoying the Masala Dosa in GTR.GTR dosas are tongue-tickling which are soft, fluffy inside and crisp on the outside. Its roasted using Pure Ghee. Aloo Palya inside the dosa and the chutney accompanies Dosa.In Evening, customers line up for tasty Mangaluru bhajji and sip hot filter coffee. Recently, GTR Delite is opened in first floor which servesNorth Indian and Chinese Veg Cuisines.Overall, If you are on trip to Heritage City Mysore, I stronglyrecommend to visit this restaurant to taste tongue-tickling dosas! Im sure you will not be disappointed!
We had been to this place on Sunday morning based on recommendations seen on YouTube channel, however to our bad luck the place was crowded, there is no temperature check done here and no social distancing is followed. People just want to get their food in jiffy, service quality is very poor and the food quality is average ( dosa was not atall crispy) . Overall average place!
The finest dosa that one can get in Mysore!!
I was really looking forward to eating here with all the reviews etc online and on various blogs. The place however didnβt impress as there wasnβt anything that was out of the ordinary & the time spent to get my food was also beyond normal. They were quite unorganized and some of the plates that they were serving the food in werenβt even clean. Donβt think I would ever return to this place.
Tasty foodNo parking facilitySeating arrangement can be betterCovid protocol not followed by visitors and not insisted by staff. They are also seen without masks.
A classic place for food known for a long time now. Though the food taste wise quality has come down a little
Good place for food but doesnt allow digital payment.
Idli, masala dosa, uthappam and coconut chutney is to die for. But the ambience takes you back couple of decades but in look and comfort. Taste and quality of the food is slowly deteriorating and in contrast price is increasing. Its a self service restaurant, but seperated family dinning area gets service.
Tasty food. Self service.
Its one of the best hotel since many yearsIts the best I am a regular customer here
If masala dosa one like one can try here
Great taste. Best fit for light snacks.
It was a good restaurant for morning breakfast. Good taste n economically priced. Nice coffee to wrap up a very good breakfast.
Very nice Masala Sodas and Chutney.
Clean, hygenic and tasty food . Very tasty coffee
Masala Dose has been always yummy. Idli and Vade are also too good. Their chutney is just sooooper.-- GTR fan since 45 years
Had read and heard about the reviews so we visited the place for breakfast and ordered Masala dosa which was extremely disappointing. Though the texture of the dosa seemed good, they had used dalda/vanaspati for it which made it utterly oily in a bad way and doesnt go off even if you wash your hands. We thought we would taste the idly atleast, but the cashier refused to give single idly which Ive never encountered in any other restaurant before and the cashier was quite rude. The coffee was so-so too, nothing exceptional, wouldnt recommend or visit again. There are many other outstanding places in Mysore for a good South Indian breakfast who serve good quality.
The Owner who sits in cashiers place behavior is not goodHe doesnt know how to behave with customers
Very bad taste. Not recommended
Dosa is over hyped and not upto the mark. Instead of circular they make oval shape so that in plate it looks good in width. Smart ppl.Kesari bath was awesome and worth it.Sadly, famous Chutney has lost its delicacy. Disappointed
Nice food... Very good staff.. a good place to have vegetarian food in Chamundipuram
Not good anymore... dosa was ok... coffee and tea was very average and kesaribath was lousy
